lol, I love the Trafford Centre. My friend works in a department store there as an aesthetics manager and she says they get a lot of people dicking around with fake bomb threats.

Good, good. Is she near the City Centre?

Hahaha, Manchester makes you RELAX? All those trashy streets with used condoms everywhere must be such a pull factor.

It's so huge! It's a funny place but it's just too far. That doesn't surprise me somehow. If my sister drives there I'll probably go Trafford isn't nice

She lives in Ladybarn, so sort of near Fallowfield and not too far from the centre.

Moreso than London does anyway! I have to admit it's unpleasant at night, if just because there is hardly any street lighting.

Huh. I live about a 30 minute bus ride away.

Yeah, it's decent as long as you don't run into any chavvy dicks.

THIS HURTS ME. I wasn't expecting that, I can't with how that chick cooked food without tasting it
Did you treat her to a Lucozade?
I know! But lmfao Louisa wouldn't shut up about it, if she knew so much about food why not put herself in the kitCh3n? Fucking idiot. Hope Leah goes. jfc her voice.
Meh, I just told 'em to pick a drink 'cause I was getting myself one.

Welp, done with this show I can't deal with these people.
DOMA was declared unconstitutional today. Step in the right direction for gay rights in the US.
good day for us!
Texas stuff
Last night was...omg. It was a really big deal, and it was amazing.
At 11:50 the dems could stall no more, so the people took this into their own hands and turned it into the citizens' filibuster and screamed, stomped, and did anything to make sure they couldn't proceed with voting. The Republicans finally voted, at 12:03, 3 minutes after the deadline. Were it not for the screams, anger, passion from the hundreds of people in the capitol that night in direct protest to the abuse from the GOP majority, this bill would be passed. It was those 3 minutes.
And, imo, the whole reason this happened was because of mobilization of the masses. Some criticize political activism in our society, as it comes from the masses in short bursts. While it may not be extended support, it is the huge outrage in a span of 2-3 days from people all around Texas, many of whom are completely foreign to state politics, that killed this bill. I don't think anyone should ever be afraid to get involved because they don't know enough - that's the point of getting involved.
Also, fuck R!ck P3rry.
Been following this story since I saw you guys talking about it on here last night. Amazing stuff. The bill was even temporarily listed as 'passed' when the Senate President tried to claim that the voting started before midnight.
However, there seems to be some uncertainty to how dead the bill really is though. Couldn't they just call another special session to vote again?
Yes, and Rick "I'm a dumbass" Perry probably will. It was a superhuman effort by Wendy Davis, though, and one that attracted national attention. What was most satisfying was seeing how pissed off David D3whurst was about the whole ordeal. I hate that man more than I hate the governor, which is a hell of a lot lol.
They're taking phone call requests from the public who was in support of the bill for the special session. The lines are really busy, apparently.
More than likely, it'll happen. Things have died down a little since last night, but will probs flare up again once the session begins.
EDIT: Aaaand Rick Perry called second special session. Which means SB5 is going through once it comes around. That was quick

Yup that didn't take long.
God I hate this state.
Round 2 is on monday.
I kind of want to go, but I feel like it'll be insanely hectic and cray. i'll probs just watch the live steam. and yeah...Sometimes I love it here, and am amazed at just how many decent people there are that work towards rectifying the wrongs attempting to get stamped into approval by Dickface Perry but it's just so tiring to deal with. like, I wish I could not care about the stuff going on, but I can't just not care about it. do you ever feel like that?

Yeah I get how you feel...
My dad and I Skyped this morning and he was more more emotional than I was about DOMA being overturned. It was adorable. I'm going home this weekend to visit my parents and it's moments like that when I'm struck by how lucky I am, and how accepting they are.
