So like.. what's the max temp of a UK summer?
Also, random q but do you run more on the balls of your feet than say heel-to-toe?

Never hits 30 degrees celcius, but honestly it changes every year (and every day, and every week).
I run more on the balls of my feet, but I think that's mostly because I used to do track running with spikes so it developed from that.

The UK sounds cold. I'm already freezing when the temperature hits 13° in winter.

Didya used to do short-distance?

It's not deathly cold, but the weather is just consistently bad. I suppose if you suffer in 13° then you'd definitely hate it
13° in winter... I can't even imagine that.

I used to do a lot of stuff. I did cross country and 1500m, 800m and the first leg of the relay. Spent winter running through muddy fields and Spring/Summer on the track.

If I ever came to the UK, I'd probably have to invest in a duck-down coat and look like a michelin tyre man. I'd be fabulous in my poofy layers. :gaypimp:

Woah talk about a versatile runner. I used to suck at anything less than 800m. I feel like I have no fast-twitch muscle fibres at all.

Damnit all. My boss here (even though she is a slave driver) is very understanding. I was thinking of pulling two all-nighters, but she said she would give me the keys for the office so I could work on the weekend instead so I wouldn't be all zombiefied.

Feel like I'm not working hard enough.
:fml:

I had to Google that and it looks fabulous
Italians normally go for similar coats when they come here. They always wear sunglasses too even though the sun rarely exists

It got too much pressure, I ended up quitting competitive running. Some people can't run any distance :dramaqueen:

@Ihla :alright: Isn't it more that you're working so hard that your boss is giving you a break?

bb you're too good lol. I'm a huge fan of caffeine but two days with no sleep is not healthy.

I still find it amazing that you can pull through with so little sleep. Hope you finish your work, ihla. :alright:

@Pod: I'm guilty of wearing sunglasses even on overcast days. -_-

Lol at you guys complaining about heat and sun....

It was about 39 degrees celsius where I was today and I had to wear shoes on the pavement outside lest I burn my feet. Suck on many levels.

Flip flos are totally the way to go!

Edit: I just realised that everywhere else in the world thongs are actually g-strings, not the shoe. Lingo fail.

I lost my cell phone yesterday
I felt so naked without it today.
every time something interesting happens i'm like
"gotta tell my best friend..*looks around for phone*...oh...right"
Right after I lost it, I called my phone from my cousins phone and it went straight to voicemail which means who ever found it turned it off.
 :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

I've seen a few series, yeah. I thought it was funny, but I feel like I would've appreciated the comedy more had I known the culture, much the same as I felt about the Vicar of Dibley.
