French pancakes or "crêpes", taste better and are lighter I like them with nothing too. This 'Murican thing tastes blunt without honey or those other things they put on it. |

Pancake seems to be one of those things which is slightly different everywhere. Here it's more like a crêpe and thin. I skipped a morning lecture and made some once but I am clearly not as good as Dys as I definitely burnt something Spoiler: click to toggle

Yep they're very plain here. Most people around here put syrup on it but I don't like it so I put a piece of cheese in between two pancakes

The bottle? It's a Japanese drink called Yakult, like a probiotic milk drink. I don't really care for the probiotic stuff I just think it tastes good. You normally get them in 5-7 packs and are supposed to have one a day. |

Oh butts, I wasn't sure which you were talking about. I don't know what it's called, it's a Belgian thing that you have with biscuits. It tastes like the syrup they put inside the syrup waffles. Kind of like caramel. We didn't have any Nutella or anything so I used it instead. |

It gets played quite often on the radio here, which is really surprising since it's an Arabic country. Maybe they don't understand it English ...

Had to go to the bank today. As I was going in, this older lady was walking out crying her eyes out, made me feel really sad for her, been thinking about her ever since.

I'm usually very even keeled... I don't cry a whole lot and I'm not particularly sentimental. But Same Love (basically the ballad for same sex rights here in the US) is being played on national radio right after the DOMA and Prop 8 rulings and it just made me happy.... |

I think the guy who repaired my computer gave me a PSU that's too weak. My system occasionally crashes and BSODs and it's only been happening after the repair.

The US Supreme Court heard two very important cases pertaining to gay marriage this year. DOMA dealt with federal benefits that married couples receive, and Prop 8 with a gay marriage ban in California. DOMA - short for the Defense of Marriage Act. This prevented gay couples legally married in their states from receiving tax breaks and other benefits that all other married couples receive under federal law. It was passed by Clinton in the 1990s. The Court ruled the law to be unconstitutional, which basically means that legally married gay couples now can receive the same benefits that the law denied. Prop 8 - short for Proposition 8, the ballot measure in California that would ban gay marriage. It was declared unconstitutional by a lower court, thus making gay marriage legal in California. The court sidestepped this case on a technicality and let the lower court ruling stand, and gay marriage is now legal again in California. These two decisions do not grant full marriage rights to all gay persons in the US, only those who are already legally married in the (now) 13 states that have made gay marriage legal. But they are two very positive rulings for the LBGT movement, and have providing a legal stepping stone to challenge state bans on gay marriage in the future. Basically, gay marriage in America is well on it's way to being the law of the land. Hope this helped, GG
