I don't mind the stronger tasting beers actually (Leffe was pretty damn delicious when I last tried it). I guess a beer-tasting night will have to be done. Beer IS worth it. So worth it. L'Oréal worth it.

Is there a big diff between 4% and 6+%?

@Yuwree: Drink some water and eat something. :alright:
You'll like Paulaner then! I like Palm too, but I've not seen that outside of Belgium/the Netherlands. Definitely, I'm missing beer a lot right now :drunk:

I don't think it's a huge difference, but it takes a lot less Leffe to make me drunk than a weaker beer. Personally I don't drink anything below 5% because it probably tastes bad. Have you had Duvel? It's about 9%ish and it's pretty heavy. Delirium is a fun beer too, but I've not seen that outside Belgium either. I haven't been to Belgium this year and I am incredibly sad about it now.

I haven't tried those two! I've been sticking to the ones that are on tap at the Belgian Beer Cafe in Radelaide. From memory though (and after looking at the site for said cafe), they do serve those beers so I might venture to try those once I can convince my friends to split with me. It's kinda unfortunate but most of my friends aren't big beer drinkers. Classy bishes stick to their moscato and cocktails. =_=

Do you usually eat while drinking beer? Personally, I find eating pretzels and sausages usually get me in a good beer-drinking mood (and also make less tipsy -cough-).

@Yuwree: Totes not judging. Partayyy the night away gurlll. :gaypimp:

Beer is serious business. This places sounds incredibly impressive! That's awful, my friends hate all the good beer which is probably just as bad. I like cocktails too mind you, but why have cocktails when you can have beer? Actually that's not entirely true I only really like one cocktail.

I don't usually eat at all, I just drink beer. Very rarely it ends badly but most of the time I'm fine. You sound like you're going about it better than I am.

I loooove Fish and Chips with beer, it's honestly amazing please try it! But now that I think about it, pretzels would be amazing too!

While on the topic of alcomahol, what to drink with scotch?

Scotch is really weird, its my first time driking it and it tastes just like (Australian) rum =\

And whats the difference between scotch and whiskey?

Sorry if im sapping

I like you guys :grouphug:

Exactly my point! When the choice is given, clearly beer > cocktails (it's usually cheaper too #poorstudentwinning). I had an awesome chocolate cocktail. It was probably the best cocktail I've had in a while. What's yours?

I usually regret all the food + beer the next morning. Compensation runs are usually needed.

@Yuwree: Might sound weird but whipped cream. It's surprisingly smooth. But yes! Fish and chips with beer is amazeballs.

Student life, eh. Chocolate? sounds odd, I like a lot of the classic cocktails but my all time favourite is the Caipirinha. It's Brazilian and oh god it's so delicious. Pretty much just alcohol over ice, lime and sugar. Few of those and I end up in space.

I never even think of that, but that's because I'm a wretch who could probably do with some extra weight.

It's strange but I started to salivate once I googled it. I think it might be the thought of lime with alcohol. Lime's just a winner in my books. Sounds delish though.

My metabolism likes to go on strike sometimes and refuses to do any calorie burning. It's always greener on the other side. :boohoo:

Edit: Ermahgerd. That vid brings back so many memories!

I went to that neighbors night with my work one time (cus we got free voucher), met few of the popular casts, they were walking around the bar asking whether the patrons wanted to take pics with them. One of the casts went to our table, offered us a picture, we flat out told him nope! Haha, rude but who cares, it's neighbor neeway haha

So Neighbours is still really big in the UK?
No, not really at all I think my dad is the only person who watches it these days.
It got axed from the BBC quite some time ago and it never really recovered, not that it was that popular in the first place. People would rather watch our shitty soap operas instead it seems.

I was flicking through the kids channels the other day and we still get a load of Australian kids shows still.
Round the twist :dramaqueen:
