Yeah It really is...Our governors have a really bad track record when it comes to speaking in public, so this would not surprise me in the least. I went to find other news articles on it, couldn't find any, then read it again and thought that Mama W3ndy wouldn't be that ineloquent in her speech. ![]() still sad that we can imagine it happening...

Do you mean an actual circular argument or a pointless argument? |

Pointless. They wouldn't adhere to the strictest definition of circular logic, although they do often progress in much the same manner. |

I don't remember saying that. she just wrote what she wanted. she is human and has his moments of impatience as anyone of you. I'm sure she didnt prohibited from posting about taeny or deleted any posts about them. she just was tired of "taeny day and night" as other people were. I think the "mistake" that she made was to have expressed your frustration. because children are very sensitive. ![]() |

It's a bit late, but it's Brain Teaser Tuesday!! ![]() It's about 7:00pm here. Like previously stated, y'all will have 24 hrs to complete the given problem. QUESTION: Hyoyeon and Sooyoung have each drank their weight in alcohol. Now drunk as hell, they decide to play a card game with a deck of 2n cards numbered from 1 to 2n. The deck is randomly shuffled and n cards are dealt to each of them. Beginning with Sooyoung, the lovable drunks take turns discarding one of their remaining cards and announcing its number. The game ends as soon as the sum of the numbers on the discarded cards is divisible by 2n + 1. The last person to discard wins the game. Assuming the alcohol doesn't impair either Hyoyeon's or Sooyoung's strategy, who wins? disclaimer EDIT: it's actually closer to 7:30pm. w/e y'all see the time I posted this so just add 24 hrs to it lol

Sorry, forgot to clarify: you still need to explain why. any answer with just 'hyo' or 'soo' will not be accepted.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol i'm not going to get this one (must do readings) but just because, do you mean divisible so as to produce a whole number because e.g. 1 is divisible by 3 to produce a fraction (and i read you wrote somewhere that you learnt how to divide 0 or something?) so just askin' and lol i'd be surprised if either of them would realise they'd won (i mean, maybe if you said seofany or something i could entertain the thought) |

Just imagining that. "Is this-- Is this divisible by 2n+1?" "You mean, like, YG?" |

Good luck on your readings! and yes, they're playing cards so you can't really have the option of like 3/4 a card.OH! the dividing by 0 thing was in my differential equations class. I just thought it was really neat so I talked about it for a bit on here. it's in no way related to the problem though, don't worry (for questions like these that are like real world stuff, we're always going to be working in the real space so you'll never have to worry about complex numbers or singularities and the like). because they're drunk? ![]() EDIT: nvm, lol I get it now. but I mean, math is expressed in the same or very similar way in most countries; arbitrary numbers are usually represented by n, x or k. if not, it's usually represented with some greek letter |

thanks! it's for an online research project oic, you may wanna define it more clearly in the op? i think it's readable as if n = 1 and 2n + 1 = 3, =1/3? the sum of cards discarded is 1 (which has to be a whole no. obvsly) but you want 2n + 1 (point at which the game ends) to also be a whole number? cool. edit: yeah i meant well hyo drinking stories lol and don't think soo was ever fond of math (or maybe it was ty that hates math??) |

Hyoyeon would win. Given that both sooyoung and hyoyeon would proceed according to their strategy, sooyoung would have to terminate the game before it comes down to the final two cards where as hyoyeon would win automatically if she stays in the game until all the cards are discarded. Given the condition that both would be 100% on their strategy regardless of how random their hand may be, the game will inevitably go on until the last card is discarded. The first player will always lose and the second player will always win for any n value. |

What kind of project. but...that takes away part of the fun! I had hoped it was implied that they were integers since n cards are dealt. tbh, idk any kpop idol that has expressed interest in math except s!w0n; I read somewhere that he was a part of his math club in high school, which is really cool! But I don't listen to s00j00 so I don't keep up with them. |

DING DING DING!! That's absolutely correct. Good job, anon! i'm really surprised it was answered that quickly! would y'all be up for a bonus round since there's like a remaining 22 hrs? @ihlita: omg I can definitely try, but you'll have to give me awhile. I haven't drawn for a few months now... Also don't have access to any paint or pastel atm so is just pencil or pen ok?

Baw. This was my logic, too. Each player would be trying to make sure the other doesn't win, so they'd always try and make sure the other player isn't in a position to be putting forth a card that's divisible by 2n+1, so... Assuming they're both strategic geniuses, then that would happen. ^ Ignore that, yay. Speaking of, any TES fans here? What's your favourite TES game? |
