what do you think of european and american girl groups? i found myself into Little mix and Fifth harmony these days, they're really talented groups, i think i'm going to support these groups because i'm done with boybands being everywhere, even the name Boyband makes me annoyed lol |

20 more days?? crap! where are you from again?? Idt I know your country of origin haha it was FANTASTICally creepy!! hahaahah, I dont really get creeped out by western horror movies but that was an exception, I definitely recommend it. The ghosts were scary but it's the jump scare that made me scream my lungs out . The whole experience was so much fun for me, it's like I watched the movie with a room full of my mates. There were random commentaries, screams and gasps, and we were just laughing it off haha, cus I think everyone knew how scary this movie is, so people wont mind such weird/funny reactions. I remember in the middle of the movie, few teenage girls scurried down the theathre and left, and everyone was like..."byeeeeee" 8 out of 10 for me

There is no "other dollar" to begin with, adding the amount you get once you give a dollar back with the dollar you kept is a fallacy, you aren't spending the full amount. |

Yuri and Jessica play the following game. They start by putting the integers 1, 2, 3, ..., 2012 in a hat. In each round of the game, Yuri and Jessica each draw a number from the hat. If the two numbers are a and b, they throw away these numbers and put the number |a − b| (where |n| is the absolute value of some number n) back into the hat. After 2011 rounds, there is only one number in the hat. If it is even, Yuri wins and Jessica has to eat a cucumber. If it is odd, Jessica wins and Yuri has to do a striptease. a) Prove that there is a sequence of drawings that allows Yuri to win. b) Prove that Jessica always has to eat a cucumber. Good luck!

well it is a math problem...This particular question is not unlike the previous ones i've posted so you could try to reason your way through it. You can look at the solutions but it won't help you in understanding if you don't try to work through the problem first. The solutions will be posted sometime Monday evening (or Tuesday morning) in the event that the question is not answered correctly. |

Of course the solutions will help me in understanding, that's why they're solutions. |

I don't understand why we have to prove there's a sequence that allows Yuri to win? If Jessica always has to eat the cucumber doesn't that imply that every sequence results in Yuri winning? |

They're solutions because they answer the questions. I could tell you the solution to finding the roots of x^2 - 4 = 0 is x = +/- 2 but that doesn't help you in understanding what I did. By understanding, I mean in a broader context than this particular problem. As in, actual understanding of the methodology and not a superficial understanding/rote memorization of how to solve this one problem - which is what happens when you only rely on looking at the solutions w/o attempting the problem. can't make you try and solve the problem, but it's there if you wanna give it a shot. |

They're separate parts of the problem to be worked independently. And yes it does but the question asks for the proofs for verification; we already know the outcome.

Completely different problem, so your logic here is invalid. You said "prove", which means the solution has to show understanding of the problem and the steps they used to solve it. |

Proofs are only valid for the particular problem at hand, Arti. But the way you try and solve a problem has to do with how your brain processes information - which can be applicable to a myriad of similar problems. |
