Eh, I know nothing about business, I was vividly imagining such a place with all my favorite things to eat, lol. But my sister's business major. So we are anticipating when she will finally has her own business. Since middle 90's (?), we have several shops but they aren't food shops. =| |

I think it would be a good idea, since a lot of parents here in Mexico spend most of their time working long hours and not really paying the necessary attention to their kids, go in turn get bored at home where they usually resort to being in front of the computer/tv or playing video games all day. Even when they have their parents home, young kids nowadays have at least a smartphone that they take everywhere. Did you know that kids from 8 to 18 spend an average of 7 hours a day doing the things listed above? Children have a lot of creativity, and most of them actually like expressing themselves through art (especially the young ones), they should spend their childhood running around outside, playing and making friends and having good role models; not coped up in a room all day after coming back from school. :pain: --- Sandwiches and yogurt? O.0 I think coffee/tea and sandwiches would work better. Edited by Ihla, Mar 13 2013, 06:10 AM.

I just watched a documentary about a married couple spending some days with a group of memebers of the KKK to observe and talk to them. It was hard watching the whole thing without getting angry and sad, but at the end I felt more pity than anything; just pity for those people for choosing to live a life that is all about filling themselves with hatred; and at the same time it was very touching to see how outraged and indignant the married couple was feeling while sitting through the speeches and ceremonies of these people. Of course they couldn't really say anything since the group (and one crazy dude in particular) could turn hostile at any moment, but they managed to talk one of the youngest members into "broadening his horizons." Small steps. --- Posted on the wrong account. Sorry. |

I have been there, but let me tell you something anon, you'll overcome this, just stay strong and if you want to cry just do it once and then let it go, maybe it will be a short process or maybe it will be long, but don't let this stop you.

Go ahead and do it! #yolo I hope the experiment turns out well - I've never really had a chance to experience first-hand (which I'm doing vicariously, lol) how the bartering system works. |

My account was deleted. Some girl on the bus just threw her can on the floor after finishing the pepsi in it. Not only is it dirty and unnecessary, littering is also illegal, y'know. You can get fined. I picked it up anyway, but really... There're bins everywhere, there's just no need to throw your trash without consideration.

damn, reading some of the things people said in the other thread made me wonder... i can't be the only person here who is really not 100% cool with plastic surgery? that is to say, i think it's a lot more complicated issue than just "oh it's fine, it's just like putting on makeup". like, it's not completely bad, but it's not completely good either. i respect the right of anyone to do what they want with their body for their own reasons and recognize that there can be a variety of reasons to get cosmetic surgery besides just vanity... but i still feel a little sick when i hear about parents "rewarding" their kids with ps in korea, and plus when you see someone who has really effed up their face it's just sad... i also think it complicates matters when you're a public figure, of course you still have the right to your privacy and your own decisions but your choices do affect public perceptions of beauty and shit like that... sorry to bring it up out of the blue, but it was on my mind and it might start discussion that's not exactly snsd-related so i thought it'd be better to state it here |

I'm half-half. On the one hand, it doesn't influence what I think of people who've had it, and I view it as just another lifestyle choice that I might not be necessarily approving of, like smoking; so in that way, as long as everyone is consenting and happy, I'm perfectly okay with it. Alternatively, the concept as a whole bothers me, and I think it's sad that people should be so dissatisfied with how they look that they seek to get clinical alterations to "fix" what they perceive as flaws about themselves. I don't think it sends out a good message about your personal appearance. |

i think if someone has a problem with the way they look and get something done and it makes them happier, then all the more power to them if kids are getting it cause they want to be famous or compaines tell them they don't look nice enough then i think that sucks tbh i don't think it makes someone any less of a person in general though. |

That's fucked up. I'm ok with PS only when you're over 50 and want to look younger. People getting it in their teens is very sad. The bad thing is that PS rarely looks natural and people in Korea who get it conform to some boring "beauty" standards - bigger eyes, double eyelids (I always found Asians with single eyelids sexier...), straight nose, V jawline, etc. People say the fashion industry has a negative impact on society because young girls want to look like that, but aside from being too skinny, top-models are actually natural and if you look closely many of them don't have perfect faces - that's the point, you don't need perfect facial features to be beautiful/sexy, and for actors/singers charisma is more important anyway... |

its asia in general it has nothing to do with fame. kids in high school get it there is always such pressure to look a certain way. things like botox and injections aren't considered a big deal there. its cray |

This seems like a great way of phrasing this issue I hate it when people claim to ship same sex idols and then make one of them the 'hubby'. Makes me wanna flip a table. I think gender roles need a revisiting (in the US at least) and gay marriage rights could actually lead to it because they should make everyone realize that there is no man's role or woman's role, just different people with different personalities. |

Don't think anyone will be interested, but just in case. I'm selling my Tiffany Gee and Sooyoung Mr. Taxi photo cards. Jsyk, they're the Japanese licenced ones, so they're a bit pricey. [marq=right] [/marq]

@lhla How much for Gee Tiffany? Which Mr. Taxi? If Mr. Taxi/RDR Sooyoung, I have this already. ADD EDIT: Ah, you said they are Japanese licensed, you must mean RDR. Never mind this. Edited by Radster, Mar 14 2013, 04:19 AM.
