Lucky, it's starting to warm up into spring down here :c
I should study but I can't
Still hot as hell outside here, though They just keep the buildings ridiculously cold which is nice when you've been dying outside, but I try not to go outside very often lol
girls... anyone here using s4? i can't freakin' connect it to our wifi at home. anyone know how to fix this? i tried googling for some answers but damn they're so techy..
a taeyeon c-site admin captured one comment on tae's ig with something along the lines that saids she wants Jessica and other girls in tts or do a featuring and the admin is saying that 'Jessica' fan is polluting tae's ig (as if there isn't any worse comments coming from shippers and I have no idea how she got the MSG that that girl is a Jessica fan, she basically mentioned all girls) but somehow tae fans went all cray and is sending insulting comments and extremely disgusting words to Jessica's weibo account. Seriously, how bored are these ppl, always create drama out of nth
I just hope Jessica won't see those comments and end up closing weibo. Why does Jess always have to receive such bad sns experiences. And I can't believe this is coming from fans of another member...even cray oppa fan girls don't do such thing
imagine the storm if Jessica does end up closing weibo *popcorn*

They write in chinese, right? Jessi can't read chinese and probably will never bother google translate these shit. That's so low of them but I wouldn't care if I were you though. Major of chinese fans (no offence to you really) are cray cray, many of tayeon fans are also cray cray and when you have the combination of both, BOOM. Shit happens.

I don't care what fans argue amongst themselves because it'll never reach the idols, but calling Jess a cock-sucking whore and saying things like she sleeps with the higher-ups and sending them directly to Jess? That's just too over the board
But yeh, thank god they're dumb as shit and can't even type English. There's nth much can do about it, but im really disappointed with them and i just hope they never do it again and that Jess is never aware of this...

I'm just curious to know, why is it usually Chinese fans who do this really really insane stuff? :S Like are boy/girl bands/groups absolutely massive over there?
^i don't think the population of kpop fans is huge in china, its just known that they are all cray. I remember reading smg about some ex0 fangirl spending over 20000RMB for a ticket to ex0's variety show recording but ended up buying a fake ticket and she's just a student :/
Beijing anon if you're around I'm looking for some advice on getting a sim card/phone. I'm aware my options seem to be China Telecom or Unicom, but I don't know much more than that. If you know anything more that'd be great.
To anyone that owns/knows anything about either of these phones... I'm looking to buy a Samsung S4 but my friend (who has an S3) says the differences between the S3 and S4 are minor. Is it worth the £200 difference? (money isn't much of a problem)

Your friend is right, I have an 24 and it feels like going from an iphone 4 to a 4s. Although i'm not much of an apple fan anymore, I'd wait for early september to see if the 52 or iphone 6 comes out. If you're more of an android girl... I'm not too certain. I'd recommend the HTC One but Aluminium case + very very hot phone = ouch.
@Yuwree I figured it'd be like 4-4S. I need a phone ASAP so I doubt I'll wait for a new one and I'm certainly not buying an iPhone... Hmmm also hi
@babycakes I've not had much of an appetite actually, I had my first meal that wasn't from 7/11 (I love 7/11 I'm so happy it exists here) yesterday and I couldn't tell you what it was but it was good and oily and covered in some kind of sauce!

Oh I meant the other kind of local cuisine but that sounds good too.

Thank you!
Spoiler: click to toggle
1. Yes, I just love them too much it's unhealthy. How's the live? It's AnimagiC, right? I don't know if I can be coherent enough if I ever met them in person. Breaking down and ugly sobbing expected. I just hope the security won't kick me out.
2. Holy fuck that's super shady. Just the two of them (I never knew the details)? If anything I'm more surprised that alleged article just come out now. What tabloid was that? And was it recent?
3. The weirdness of this group is certainly something.
4. I really want her to voice more character because of that. But she seems to enjoy her singing career more now, so I guess that's that. Mte about the singers. They didn't exactly have the emotion needed for the song, so it just feel flat. Yup. And I love "Storm"! I like her voice, very pleasing to my ears.
5. That's why I really want to see their lives in Japan. If what I've read were true, they usually just dork out during the MC, completely destroying the image they built when singing super-angsty songs earlier. They can't be as free when overseas because language barrier. I remember the hilarious interview they did in that show...what's it called again, Denpa Kyushuu or something? Oh god, it's just full of hilarity even though I can't understand a thing. Poor Macho-senpai and Pika-chan. I'm tempted to learn Japanese because of the lack of reliable translator, but of course it can't be easy.
6. I love the entirety of DU live. Hikaru just looked so possessed singing it. Her lower register is awesomesauce, and part of why I love Consolation (album) so much is because she kicks so much ass there. In fairness, I think her voice is not really for everyone and really take some times to get used too (especially compared to Wakana and Keiko). She also tends to get shouty in early Kala lives, so I think that's why fans is quick to judge her for it. But really, she's constantly improving and can now be consistent at lives.
No problem! I didn't think I'd come across another Kalafina fan like this here, so I'm lol excited.

1. lmfao same here. I'm at the point where just listening to their songs cheers me up. IN TOO DEEP. Yeah, it was AnimagiC! On the one hand, it was great seeing them living and getting my shit autographed, but on the other hand, it's like... I was on the 3rd row from the front, Wakana's side, on the first night, and you could just see her straining to sing. Even my mom noticed that she looked like she was in pain. The afterwards was great, though! If you do go to a signing, you should at least tell them they performed well, or at least tell Wakana. I swear she almost cried when I said it. Whereabouts do you live? The girls are incredibly professional so they'll probably be okay with you being overwhelmed.
2. It was just something she said in her blog post, but it came off as so perverse. What kind of "alone time" are you talking about here... And tbh I'm not sure, I've not asked my friend about it since, and she's not been on that site much because her internet is weird. Next time she signs on, I'll ask her for you, 'cause there's no way I'm going there again. I'm hoping for some kind of scan or something, or at least the name of the tabloid. It's kind of annoying, though, since Kalafina aren't that well known, so there aren't that many people who can serve as reliable sources.
3. Definitely. It's nice, though, even if they're all professional, to see that they can still dork out in interviews and blogs and things. It makes them entertaining as well as interesting.
4. More characters like Nao, for sure. I think she'd be wasting her talent if she stuck to shyer personalities, but I guess she's not got much chance of returning to voice acting at this point... I'm glad she's enjoying her singing, but I feel like the VA world is missing out. :p Storm was the only one I liked, though. The other two, like you said, were just... meh. They didn't properly convey the passion or feeling that I felt was inherent in the song, like they were just singing it out of obligation rather than actually trying to understand what emotion it was going for. I think Koshimizu managed to get it as best as possible when she sang Storm. idk if that's because Koshimizu naturally had that kind of voice or if she was good enough to do it, but. Yeah.
5. Yeah, I've heard that! In other countries, they always try and mind the audience language, which means they have preprepared stuff most of the time. It's not as fun to watch if you know they're being cautious so you can understand them. And lol is that the one where the MC called her Pika-chan and she was like WTF IS THIS PEASANT NICKNAME? ilu Hikaru, really I do. Do you remember the interview (not sure which) when Wakana said something like "KEIKO'S ABS ARE LIKE DRAGONBALL-Z"? I'd kill to get a look at those, lmfao. If you do learn Japanese, just keep at it. You don't need to learn it all at once, so just take small steps translating whatever it is you want to until you get the hang of it.
6. I love the Red Moon live, too, mostly because of how much power they all have. Wakana gets the beauty of the song, whereas you can feel Keiko and Hikaru resonate with their strength in the background, which gives the song so much oopmh. The lyrics are like that, too - about the beauty of love, but with the power of suffering behind them, or something. And yeah, I guess so. But, that's one of the reasons I like Hikaru so much, because she sits and she thinks, "I messed up on this, so I'll improve it", and so she's constantly improving and giving an amazing performance. I mean, you've got to admire that at least.
Oh I meant the other kind of local cuisine but that sounds good too.
Oh you I have no time for that I'm too busy enjoying cheap alcohol and soaking up all of Beijing's smog culture
wimp, the smog is average today.
I'm not sure about the telephone companies since I am just too lazy and didn't bother getting a chinese number. I'll ask at work tomorrow the non-chinese peeps what they have and report back.
No problem! I didn't think I'd come across another Kalafina fan like this here, so I'm lol excited.

I love the unashamed fangirling we both do, lol.

1. I'll be honest and say their songs literally saved my life at one point, so yeah. Ouch! I feel bad for her a lot of times because when Hikaru and Keiko looked like they're having the time of their life on stage, she was clearly struggling. Poor Wakana. If I ever met her I'll definitely say that, she clearly always tries to do her best after all. I live in Indonesia, and please do not remind me about AFAID because I can't attend it (forever bitter). Family matters and all. They're probably used to fans like that lol.
2. Is it just me or Keiko is always super shady when talking about other female artists? Thank you for that, I never really thought they'll be in a gossip tabloid or something so this is really curious. Not having fanforum/fansite dedicated especially to them is one of the thing that's make it hard too. Ceep3em is too broad because it's ultimately Kajiura fansites, not only Kalafina.
3. It helps that they appear quite genuine too. We of course will never know what they really think, but at least it's clear they love what they do.
4. Sucks, tho. I really like her as VA . I generally always meh about character songs (baring few exceptions). The pressure to be in character probably affect their singing, which in turn makes it fall flat.
5. Yes that's the one! That whole interview is just super fun and Hikaru's various expressions gave me so much life. When the host continue called her that she was like "NO, CALL ME HIKARU YOU PEONS!" and when she described Kalafina music with such profound and deep language, the host was praising her while the other two Y U NO PRAISE US TOO? I think I know that, although not sure about the source. It's around Magia period, right? I remember Hikaru also said the same thing. In short, Keiko needs to show that fab abs so we can judge. Do you have any online rec for beginner in Japanese? It just seems so daunting.
6. Red Moon is a song that basically describes Kalafina imo. Of course Oblivious is the mother of all Kalafina songs, but if someone asks me about the representative song of Kala, I always point them to Red Moon. The power, the music, the lyrics, the atmosphere...it's Kalafina in a nutshell. Honestly when I heard it for the first time, I always imagine a scene of an apocalyptic movie. The lyrics sounds like a Buddhist scripture (knowing Kajiura, it might be...). The fans definitely see her improvement too, because lately almost all of fan reports that I read said Hikaru practically own her parts. More power for her!

Well, when there's something as awesome as Kalafina to fangirl about, we can hardly be blamed.

1. Really? I'm glad to hear that your life was saved, then, and that the songs helped you through a tough spot. I think her stage fright might contribute to that, partly. It must've gotten worse with how her voice is going, like she's petrified of being on stage because it's more likely that she'll have a huge cockup. I feel bad for her, since I don't think she's confident enough in herself to handle it on her own. It's a shame. That's a shame. I hope you get the opportunity to at some point! I'd love for someone to talk about it with.
2. Yeah. She says she found out through the chat room but she's trying to Google the source, since the others don't want to tell her. Probably trying to "protect Keiko's reputation", or something, like Keiko would care about that. Blech.
3. I think they are genuine, tbh. I mean, obviously there's a bit of PR, but they don't have the same pressure to be manufactured images like idols have, since they're vocalists first and foremost. It's what I appreciate, although I do wish they'd all get proper training. Hikaru seems the only one properly dedicated enough to go for extra lessons, and I think her dedication shines through a lot of the time.
4. Her performance as Nao cemented her as a very good VA in my mind. Her previous roles were good, but she seemed very type-cast and only stuck to one kind of character, which she broke out of in Mai-HiME. I see what you mean about character songs. Some of the tunes are really catchy, but if the VA is a bad/bland singer... It's just a disappointment. :/
5. LOL, yes. I adored the part where Wakana was talking about how much she appreciated being in Kalafina. STOP MAKING ME LOVE YOU, WAKANA, YOU SWEET ADORKABLE WOMAN But yeah, Hikaru always seems to be so articulate and well-thought out. I wonder what her thoughts are like, since she's silent so much. I wonder if they're as articulate as what she says out loud. Sigh. Forever doomed to never know what Keiko's abs look like... Ours is a tough life, eh? Also, you should look up learning the alphabets, first. Memrise is a good site for it (free), so just learn hiragana/katakana from there first, and then move onto some other lessons. Best to start small.
6. Same here. I always link the Red Moon live in 2010 because I feel like it's one of their more powerful performances, and the song itself just suits them. It manages to get all the beauty of a ballad and all the kickass of their more dramatic songs, and it showcases their vocals. Good! I like to think that she's getting more appreciated. It seemed before that people were only tolerating her. :/
@orange Teaser-Anon here, it seems my IP was banned. Could you tell me why?
I'm not sure because I didn't do any banning. You could ask on the FD page; sometimes there's a glitch when coming to the forum and it seems to be the same one that was at tlc. I think it's a zetaboard thing. I think Ihla knows some solutions on how to fix it, can't remember any atm cause I just woke up

I gave those solutions a shot. No dice. I managed to submit a Contact Staff form though, hopefully Ihla sees it and can confirm whether it's a local problem or an actual ban
girls... anyone here using s4? i can't freakin' connect it to our wifi at home. anyone know how to fix this? i tried googling for some answers but damn they're so techy..
i don't know if this would help
did you try turning the wifi off and turning it back on? if you have a secured wifi, make sure that you type in the correct password. another thing you could do is go on settings>more (top left corner)>location services>under location sources make sure that the "use wireless networks" box is checked.
i haven't had any issues with my wifi connection so that's the only thing i could think of atm.

1. Thank you. For a group that has reputation of singing songs that are gloomy, dark, & full of despair (lol, I think anime/casual fans usually got that impression), a lot of their lyrics are just full of hope and optimism. It really helped me through. <3 I'm thankful she is in a group and not going solo. I don't think she can handle the pressure yet. At least in Kalafina and FJ she got the other to help and cover her weakness. However, enduring so many lives with such severe stage fright in itself is an achievement, so for that I respect her. I don't think I will shut up if I can attend their live.
2. Protect her reputation, huh? Sounds familiar. I guess fandom is the same everywhere. Actually I want to ask, do you know about their reputation in Japan? Not about their fame, but general impression from people that aware of them.
3. Yeah, not being idols certainly take a lot of pressures away. Training as in vocal or PR?
4. Yuuka doesn't have many roles yet, right? I think after Mai-HiMe she actually can get more varied ones, that is if she decided to go down on this path. Now she kind of lost her momentum imo The horror of some T5ubas@ Chr0n1cl3 character songs scarred me permanently *shudders*
5. THIS WOMAN ugh, such a precious person ilu. I just want to give her hug and tell her how great she is. From her blog post, Hikaru's thoughts are so random ide. I mean, this is a woman that wrote she thought about polar bear and white snake when receiving a white colored gifts. So unfair, really. We should make petition. Thank you for the rec. You're right though, baby steps are the way to go. Learning new language is not an easy thing for me.
6. It also help that the video is not taken down yet. I think this is one of the song that will rarely leave their concert list. Wonder if for some people this song can be a bit melodramatic/too overwhelming? Speaking of music, it seems they'll release a bunch of music in this second half of the year. I'm looking forward to the x-mas acoustic because of the new arrangements. When she's constantly improving, I don't think people got any reason to bash her anymore (well, they usually attack her appearance, anyway :-/).
I just checked, there has been only one ban recently, for a troll. Also, there are no new messages from the Contact Staff form. Afaik, those are the only solutions for this glitch, I'm sorry anon.
It was just an example bb, I find your enthusiastic Kalafina love amusing. But it would be good for you and others to have a thread to discuss away without being scared of bothering the latest reg/anon flirting session.
I know what you mean. I'm glad you find it amusing. Amusing enough to become a fan yourself? (and yes I know this is OT so last comment)
Maybe, IDK, I've never heard of them before so I don't know what to expect. If there's a place to get their songs or some videos I might give them a try when I have the time.
girls... anyone here using s4? i can't freakin' connect it to our wifi at home. anyone know how to fix this? i tried googling for some answers but damn they're so techy..
Spoiler: click to toggle
I had this problem all the time with my s3 n just had it with my s4. Have you tried to "forget" your wifi network and remove it then turn the wifi option off then turn it back on, search for your network n then input your password and connect? That usually works for me. If that doesn't work the only other thing that works for me is to connect to another network (like at school) and by the time I get home it connects to my home network with no problems.

Thanks for looking into it. I re-submitted another form with specific details to get a solid confirmation before I try other solutions
