@Plank yup! Indonesia was such a powerful country back then (tho the name Indonesia wasnt even exist at that time). We built those ancient structures/temples and established a steady political and economical relations with surrounding kingdoms in SEA. Too bad things just keep going downhill afterwards, esp after the colonisation Yeah IA modern history is pretty dreading to learn, tho I find French revolution quite interesting @Orange pressed?? bish ploise, im liberated

@bbcakes: A lot of people are upset that Miss NY won because she's of indian descent. A lot of xenophobia and racism is rampant atm via social media sites. Some examples...

oh tell me bout it, my uni life was all about essays/reports/journals and presentation and the biggest kicker is...im not a native speaker! hahahaah. Was so stressed out when I just started uni, had to interview people, reading ridiculously long journals with words Ive never even heard before ahhaah. Luckily I managed to get use to it and eventually mastered the art of bullshitting in essays . No, no anthro unit unfortunately, it's all about media studies and journalism, as well as film units. @Orange lol those ignorant/racist comments, cus apparently you have to be white to be a real american hey

I don't think anywhere would be particularly different in terms of studying English, but I do think lifestyle in different cities will vary. I'm from London and it pretty much has everything you need, but it is horribly expensive. Are you interested in big cities or would you rather somewhere a little smaller/more scenic? Just realised you wrote UK, England in particular? |

I was thinking about (kind of) big cities (London, Cambridge, Manchester, Oxford, Bristol, etc.), including Dublin. The thing is, I don't really know enough about them to be able to choose one So hoping you girls could tell me a bit, at least from your point of view.
