Can we please not wank in the fanfiction thread of all places. Speaking of donkatsu, she's starting a new OT9+TaeNy ongoing collab, Broken Strings with humyourheart (the author of one of my favorite TaeNy fluffs of all time, Sixteen Hours To None) |

are we still in the business of calling out plagiarized fics? Because i found a thread in which some if not all (I've only randomly selected 3 as samples) of the fic are plagiarized. It's a smut thread, though. And I know some people don't like it when we call out plagiarized fics because they don't care even they are. |

Was plagiarizing a big subject on tlc? We haven't really talked about it here. I think you should notify the original authors so they can decide what they want to do about it. If you don't know the original authors but think it's plagiarized then I guess you can post it here to help ID it, but otherwise I don't see any reason to post it here (link the original if you want to share the fic). |

I remember that time back in tlc when we invaded 'Pretense', that really good/hyped fic that turned out to be a plagiarized lesbian fiction, it was naughty of us but I still believe it was an epic CLSI moment that will forever go down in sogayshidae history. Not that I'm recommending we do that of course, but it's best to report the thread to the sites admins. They'll do their job. |

Donkatsu's new shot on bysone, Promise is a good fluff oneshot. It starts off as bad angst based on taengstagram/wedding/Tiffany in LA events before it turns into good fluff though. |

Okay, I'll just drop it here. It's up to you guys what you're gonna do with it. But I noticed the author already disabled commenting, perhaps there were already complaints? SNSD version vs Original SNSD version vs original These are only two of them, but I'm fairly certain that you can cross check every single one of them and find that it's plagiarized. |

We've called out plagiarizers in the past, remember Pretense? Iirc, we called out two of them during TLC days. With Pretense one of the anons asked her about it when the "author" made a mistake describing Fany's eys as green, I don't remember if the "author" ignored anon's reply, but we started trolling the fic thread for a while after that. |

Hey fellow anons and regs! I wanna ask you something. If you're reading an AU fic and the author starts getting off the charts technical on stuff like firearms, sports events, cars, IT, any other typically male topic that happens to be the author's hobby or job: what's your reaction? And it's pages of details, complicated explanations etc, does it put you off? I was never big on ongoing fics so I honestly don't know. Is that sort of thing standard and would mostly be accepted? Or is it just a few authors who cater to the niche male readership? Sorry for all the gender generalizations, I just wanted to get my point across easily. I'm asking because I've had this idea for a fic for ages now, but it's related to my heavily male dominated working field.

Depends on how it's integrated. If it's crazy infodumps, I quit it because I at obnoxious infodumps. If it flows naturally, then whatever. I like accuracy in my fics, and having a job in the field just helps accuracy, especially if the AU is catered around something you need to be accurate about for the fic to work properly.

I think I know who you are lol... Depends on the genre tbqh. If it's action, the expectation is there's a lot detail. I've read some action fics and there's heaps of deets on firearms. It's quite interesting, actually. |

da and the classic tlc line returns! we love intrigueregarding question, I say if the writing and plot is good anything can be part of the story. and you'll probably get a few readers sideeyeing you no matter what you write about anyway, people just have different likes and dislikes. for example any mention of drugs or cigarettes in a soshi story and I go automatically and don't care about writing quality at all anymore.
