BET Awards?! That...will not bode well. This stupid agency keeps on making ridiculous decisions :wall:

That Soshi at a club thing seemed like a private party so I guess it was better that way. I hope that SM tries to get them onto more talk shows and interviews or even radio shows, to ease them up and gain more public interest.
oh was it? i have no idea what kind of party it was, but there's an awkward video of soshi going through the crowd in the club and people are visibly puzzled and legitimately confused as to who they are, which i imagine is similar to what happened here (... but less painful to watch).

CCM is fucking up left and right. first, to team them up with Br0wn at a stage where they are trying to rebuild their image, and add R@y J and T.I. in to the mix, would not have seemed as a great idea to anyone not addicted to crack. second, all the interviews i've seen and all the interactions they have had with fans are not being handled by a CCM team, but rather Dan1 who is a 14 year old girl (Br0wn was apparently her affiliation as well). if CCM is serious about cleaning up their image and doing so by assuring some global success, their strategy is questionable at best.
Hmm...you're talking about that one in New York, right? Because I remember seeing 2 or 3 clips from that. Can't remember if it was around the SMT+Fansign+Fanmeet period or Letterman-Kelly perfs. I wasn't expecting people to be aware of they are at that party tbh since it seemed like there weren't supposed to be any fans there as well, and that the girls were going simply to enjoy themselves and try to make friends among the other celebs there like the DJ. I bet we weren't supposed to even know such an event took place, heck we wouldn't if it weren't for the fancams lol. But it's all good, I'm sure SM isn't as dumb as CCM and will sign them with the appropriate shows.

I think T-@ra should leave CCM tbh. Problem is that company has a lot of power, they can't exactly escape. Same thing like JwhyJ will happen...maybe worse since that CEO is like some kind of gangster.
I was under the impression it was a scheduled appearance, since the DJ was pimping them out, but it may have been the way you explained it. In any case, I hope your theory about SM is correct. We'll see clearly in a few months. ^_^

Oh, I am certain they should. The entire bullying incident was dealt with horribly by CCM and lots of things they've done since (Japanese promotion being an exception) is just a continuation of their mishandling. I know very little about their CEO, but contracts idols sign are notoriously hard to break or dispute. I'm optimistic since T-@ara has forever been one of my favs. They make incredibly catchy songs and my bias rests on that. But their music will continue to matter very little as long as CCM itself keeps giving ammunition for the girls to be hated on and ridiculed. :-/

Even our lovely insiders didn't know about it, so...yeah lol. It wasn't a theory by the way, just me hoping for the best...really, really hoping. If they manage to ace their marketing strategies, I'll send them flowers lol. If mgmt screws up, I'll throw my business management textbook in the project leader's face.

CCM has more power than even SM, because they're part of CJ E&M, which is one of those huge parent companies. They can put T-@ra out of business in no time. The only way would be for the girls to move to an equally powerful company, which isn't so feasible since I doubt that any large company would be willing to accept the group in its current state. Too many risks. They'd have to start from scratch and even then, those K-netz are hell-bent on not letting go of the past. I pity the girls, really, they're just tied up in this mess now.

Though I do agree that CCM should take most of the blame, I also think that the members of T-ara are at fault. I mean s0yeon talking shit on YEH on a public forum, knowing that t-ara already has the reputation of being bullies? And their performance in Las Vegas was so lacking; they weren't even trying. Seriously, if they are going to try to perform at a venue like this they could have at least put more effort into their singing/dancing.

DA

not at all saying members are not at fault, but the whole thing should have been addressed and dealt with sooner by CCM.

as for the Vegas appearance, they actually got cut off whilst performing by the DJ. i give them props, no amount of professionalism would have dragged me on that stage TWICE. minus the awkward part where they all stood around for 15 secs, i thought it was ok. random as fuck, but they are a Kpop group performing at a pool party in Vegas, so i braced myself for it. again, wtf CCM?

soy3eon is a part of the second subunit. japan oriented. or is this just a rumor?

Original Anon... yeah if I understood Korean better I might appreciate it but the MV (visually) is not too bad. Song needs a better hook for the chorus to be interesting. Overall... too much hype for the finished product.

cl's mv is basically the female version of gd's one of a kind. but i couldn't take the dubstep so i just quit. it's not that cl isn't a bad musician, it's just flaunting her "bad girl" title is so boring and annoying. she's been saying that for four years now, i think everyone understands her point.

3x0 wears those nametags because sm sends those practice videos to broadcast stations and tells them wear to focus on. their choreography is actually pretty good, and members from both groups perform in the same verse which is nice surprise. the song is a solid 6, but their album makes up for it. (i'm not an 3x0 stan, i swear!!!)

CL trying to be the female GD isn't a bad thing at all. YG is trying to create a female solo persona that isn't attached solely to the Kpop norm of Hyori or Boa and I quite applaud the attempt. I wish they'd used more energy on a better song for her to make the point, though.

E(ekks)O is just the same as any Kpop boy band ever. Impress me.

CL's mv...

I miss when YG actually made good-ish mv's: Beautiful Hangover, Tonight, haru haru etc.

But both music and music video wise, they seem to be just... chanelling american thug hip hop videos... White background, rediculous stand out props for the actors to play with, dubstep 'riffs', a 'catchy' chorus with a gimmicky dance...

Yeah I guess it worked in one of a kind and crayon, Michi-no, and I don't really like this either. I will admit that i'm not a fan of CL either, she isn't the baddest female, i'm sorry, she needs to drop her tough girl act. Smashing glass cases with a baseball bat and saying you're a badass bitch don't make you one.

YG need to do something new, especially since they 'pride' themselves on being fresh and 'creative'. Yet the material they've released in the past 8 months has been anything but.

I agree that was bad I don't get the whole dubstep craze I really don't every once in awhile you'll find one that's not so bad but this wasn't one of those times CL has overplayed this bad girl hardcore angle for so long it's not even fitting anymore

As far as T-ara N4 and their performance pool side that was so uncomfortable to watch I could barely make out much of the audio clearly...this whole hip hop collaboration business is going badly for them why their company would put a group plagued with that bullying mess anywhere near Chris beat em down brown that is a beyond horrible PR move especially with him on the brink of releasing a tell all book ragging on his victim Rihanna that's not going to go well at all! Whom ever thought that this whole thing would be a good idea should have a public relations refresher course ASAP I'm all for them coming to America it's the only way ill ever get to see eunjung but this could've been handled better with better material somehow this whole rapper collaboration thing is making them look like extras in a very bad rap video

lol i don't know for some reason i really like it, especially that beat. it's like so bad it's good, but it's not even that bad. that choreo is pretty simple, but the transitions are surprisingly really nice and they make it look good. the high pitched saranghaeyo part is the only part i don't like. the howling is hilarious  it's def the least appealing song on the album highlight though along with that 365 1D sounding song.

Sick of this Tryhad hoodrat shit from GeeD and Tryang that are spewing over onto SeeL. I swear GD is gonna be the company's newer groups downfall with them giving him so much say and with YG stroking his ego completely, now they're trying to make a female GeeD and SeeL's just following along like a puppet. I doubt I'll catch D*esung or T*P doing the shit which is great considering they're the only 2 BB members I like now. Also 2N*1 better not be this MichiOneofaBaddestCrayon shit.

...................*clears throat*

Man the big three (SM,JYP,YG) releases in general have been pretty lackluster. Even though I prefer the older groups the nugus tend to have better music. Not that it matters cause they have no fans and only 1/10 of them will reach some success in the coming years (rooting for Spica, Glam, HV and Ladies Code)

I worry for the future of the 'Hallyu' wave.

Praying the titties have another good album, and that Soshi get another good Japanese album, although I really want a good Korean album.

I never really appreciated the japanese albums... but recently ive been listening to them alot and they're off high higher quality than their Korean counter parts.

ton of guys though but I like that they split them up at the beginning so I don't feel all "wtf is going on?"
the lil ear dance tho. lol

lol i don't know for some reason i really like it, especially that beat. it's like so bad it's good, but it's not even that bad. that choreo is pretty simple, but the transitions are surprisingly really nice and they make it look good. the high pitched saranghaeyo part is the only part i don't like. the howling is hilarious  it's def the least appealing song on the album highlight though along with that 365 1D sounding song.
Took me a bit to realise the dough and bacon haha.
