Some people said that it was just a try-out recording.
That song is a disaster. Notes are too high for this boys, screaming everywhere, and shit lyrics. What can you expect from SM infamous crappy composer. I don't remember his name.

Shiny boys are having their comeback now. I think it is fair that SM is promoting Shiny in their twitter because this is Shiny's comeback period. Isn't it known that $M always half-assing on f `x and shiny?

I'm surprised you guys aren't talking about this Park Shi Hoo bullshit.

This is how it happened in my head: He and his buddy called up a girl. Buddy probably told her she could introduce her to a friend, big name A-list actor, who could set her up with an acting role. They roofied her drink and took her back to the bastard's house where they took turns raping her while she's unconscious.

When she goes to the police, he throws her a bone and tries to pay her off. She says fuck you, and now the bastard's agency is bombarding the entire Korean media community with made-up bullshit text messages. (If I were scheming to get this guy charged with rape, why would I text my friend with details of my plan when I could just fucking call her and tell her about it instead? If I were laundering money and had to choose whether or not to leave a paper trail, would I choose to leave a paper trail? It doesn't make any sense.)

This is all just to scare and pressure the chick to take the money and drop the charges, and everybody's eating it up. So this asshole crawls out of his hole after dodging two police summons only after lawyering up with the best legal team his money can buy. He knows his PR team is going to sweep this shit under the rug for him. Meanwhile, the girl's life is over. People already know who she is. She has no acting career. Next big Korean headline: "Actress A commits suicide, leaves note claiming she told truth all along."

I don't know what is wrong with these people. Do they need some delinquents to tear out a woman's intestine from her asshole to get their fucking act together? The most he can get anyway is 5 years. If I were the girl, I wouldn't even bother. It's not worth ruining my career for. And now everybody will know me as the money-hungry succubus that tried to blackmail one of Korea's Favorite Oppas.

I have a lot of feelings. Fuck this jackass third world country pretending to be civilized.

^ The victim blaming in this particular case is beyond disturbing. If I read one more comment about how "handsome oppa" must be innocent, since "A" has orchestrated the whole thing to extort money / further her career, I'll go apeshit.

PSH case has been really confusing. Not gonna waste my time guessing who's wrong and right.
From the girl side: PSH and his friend (x) drugged her (A). A only drank a bottle of soju. She was fine when they were leaving the club but she passed out in the car. PSH tried to compensate A to shut her mouth but A get offended and reported him.
From PSH side: PM between A and A's friend (B) sound like A is kk0t-baem.
You can find all the infos online. It's everywhere.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If PSH and X raped A, they are going to get jailed, PSH will be forever known as a rapist and his career will end here. If PSH is proven innocent, his career is going to take a hit too. Some people will still think of him as a rapist. He will be jobless until the news dies down.

ughhhhhhhhhhhh :rage2: I'm so sick and tired of this shit always being repeated.
How do these people always get away with this. Everytime a scandal of sorts breaks out, I always think this is the end for them considering the graveness of it but then I learn that they prepping for another drama or whatever.

i agree that there is sooooo much shady shit going on in the way this case is being handled by the media but i don't think it's fair to generalize this to korea, rape culture is a problem the world over. sure korea might be a little more patriarchal than other places but it's not "third world"

what's even more "funny" is that even when articles were coming out that were pretty damning to psh's side of the case (really top-notch journalism there by the way, releasing "evidence" piece by piece without any sense of balance or fact-checking) all the comments were still "wait until we have more info, oppa could be innocent!!!!!" and now that ONE text message conversation comes out it's all over for her, case closed. even though they still have the security cam footage, his admission that they had intercourse and the fact that he wouldn't fucking go to the police station for days, offered her a 100k settlement, etc. netizens don't even see their bias. just goes to show how much being a (male) celebrity will do for you, you can get away with so much shit

the saddest part is that regardless of the truth behind this case, it's still going to end up screwing women over, like always - this one woman is going to be used to generalize to ALL rape cases because netizens think they are fucking detectives who can make judgments based on sketchy sensationalist "news" articles that reek of media play. i hope korea's judicial system is at least up to snuff compared to its media coverage.

on a slightly different note... never paid much attention to 2y00n and i can't really get into their song, but i really liked reading this interview gay--n did. especially the stuff she said about idol life, continued hunger for success and how realistic she was about the "hallyu wave":

Quote:

"Be it TV, computers, mobile phones, starting with the media, everything is different from the past. Now, rather than what you hear, things have been thought and built around what you see. These days, it hasn’t been the case just for music, but from make-up, outfits, hair, to the choreography. The way I see it, there have been more things to consider and care about, making it even more difficult. Being good at singing is not enough anymore. Of course you’d have to love singing, but whether it’s the outfits or the concepts, everything becomes an issue. Being able to be good in various areas is, I believe an advantage. But if you’re too preoccupied by it, if it’s too perfect, then it becomes a handicap. A while ago, in order to study songwriting our member Jiyoon flew to the US and we talked about this when she came back. There, she met with renowned songwriters and producers who all said this in regard to K-Pop: ‘From the arrangement, the sound to the choreography, if everything is too perfect, too polished, music is then reduced to a standard, a stereotype and it’s not music to enjoy anymore. It becomes something too clean, too sharp, a show."

even above language barriers i think this is the main reason why i think idol music is never gonna make it in the u.s. mainstream, and why it might not even last that much longer in asia. its main appeal, the slickness of how well it's produced and marketed, is also its biggest weakness. of course there's overproduced pop music in the u.s. too, but in order to make an impression in that market your product still has to have the appearance of being at least a little bit "authentic" or "grassroots". not so relentlessly polished like idol groups with the trainee system and the perfect choreography.

^ IA i remember when sica and fany were talking on that us radio show about how they joined $M and the guy sounded so shocked and when fany said she moved to join he as all YOU MOVED TO KOREA ALONE???? like 5 times and i think just the whole trainee process comes across as weird to a lot of people.

i like gay00n she's really honest about everything liked her interview from not that long ago, some magazine i forgot which one, when she was like i hate going on tv cause korean humor is all about impressions and gags and our team isnt good at that our humor is different, hy*na has been doing the same impression since 09

Agreed. She's also won golden disk (I think) and Seoul music award for best new rookie. Is she still with SuPearls? I was under the impression they were meant to debut already, but yeah.... not following them closely.

Yg terminated contracts with everyone else in supearls since leehi has made it big solo. Disgusting move IMO. But still the quality of leehis songs are amazing and I love her artistry. No wonder she is a monster digitally. On another note, I wonder what sm composers think of the garbage they produce for sm groups and that literally no one listens to their songs except for the people who bought physical CDs.
