sa Yeah, it is. But look at the level of performance for the NY madison square garden, the letterman performance etc Maybe, hey guys, we're performing at tokyo dome motivates them more than hey guys, marina bay (i think) signapore. For the anon saying we don't have any control, that's true, but at the end of the day, they are paid entertainers and their job is to entertain you and you pay them for it. |

i think it's a lack of good management. good management and direction leads to good service because good management builds morale and self sufficiency. currently, sm is not really doing anything to try and better snsd in anyway and it reflects in the way snsd perform. im not saying the girls aren't part of the problem, because they should know that fans are putting a lot of money into seeing them perform. if it's a concert and the US or europe i think there's an incentive to perform better because it's not asia and even though their fans are diehard, there's still the novelty of not being in asia and still having that many fans to come see them. |

Da i am planning to go see one of their concerts just to see them not for the music or the choreo because from fancams it doesn't look like they care and it's not just them the outfits setlist stage i blame sm for that. I wish they change their attitude because some fans really work hard to get tickets they are expensive. |

And it's not like they're being overworked because they have had more vacation days this year than any before and they're only going to get more from now on, so being physically tired is no excuse for any of these half assed displays. |

they are the ones performing, not the managers it just seems they are not enjoying anymore, they should just stop then but of course they have contracts honestly now, I doubt they will stick together when their contracts end |

DA It's not necessarily a bad thing though. To some fans it might be devastating. But I think they'll probably be happier if they each goes their own way. btw I'm not dissing SNSD the group and sosi bond in any way. But realistically travelling light might be the best for them at this stage of life. |

i want to see an interview where they get asked serious questions about how they see their jobs and entertaining, not so much about their personal lives but how it affects their personal lives. |

the closest we got was that one by the american guy who went to one of their concert and later talked to StepHo, where the 'american career' talk started. Not that you can trust it either tbh |

most of the questions they receive seem to relate to their sexual availability and it's getting really old. i really like some of the magazine interviews that jessica's received and the way she's answered them. they're really insightful. there was also an interview that i think sooyoung/yuri/seohyun did or one that all the girls did that was also really good, but i can't remember what magazine and it was a really long time ago. |

Jess gives me the appearance that she has no plans to continue working in this industry when snsd is not active anymore. She's hardly doing anything non-snsd-related these days, her last individual work appearance was in august if she really had thoughts of keep working in this industry, i'd expect her to appear a little bit more to at least keep herself relevant and fans interested. I'm really surprised that girl still managed to get new fansites despite her constant mia lol

I would actually rather they do less choreography for concerts and have more chances to work the crowd. Don't waste time learning token dances for 10 new album songs. Focus on on or two new things with the rest just being free form playing around. But they also need solo and sub group stages. That's what makes concerts fun and I don't know why they didn't do them for the latest concert. It seemed like they were bummed about it too from some UFO replies when fans were asking what songs they were doing for their solos.

concert rant OP IA with having more free time over choreos but the thing is even when they were "interacting" with the crowd they didn't seem all that into it. It's was like a job for them to just wave to us and smile at us. They barely tried and the idol-fan connection wasn't all there. |

i think all of them do good interviews in magazines. probably down to them being media trained. i'd say america or maybe one of those was it kbs? ones jeti did would be our only hope right now. maybe once they aren't idols or in snsd they'd all start to spill some tea

i don't think it's necessarily about them being media trained, i think some of their magazine interviews tend to have more depth eg. jessica defining her work as being an entertainer rather than just being a singer or how she achieves her goals (i'm using jessica as an example bc i'm her stan and hold a stronger memory for her interviews not because i don't think the other girls give insightful interviews as well) |

Really? Seemed like everyone else I heard that went the concerts thought the fan interaction was really good. My friend that went to the Seoul concerts said they have really gotten good at it since the first tours. ![]()
:/ that was dumb. Yuri I think it was did a frown face when someone asked her what solo song she was doing for the tour and Yoona did like a "ahhh I had a chance for a solo last time didn't I..." |

i was saying they are media trained so they know how to handle interviews, not that everything they say is something they've been fed to say. magazines have a little more variety than tv shows but they are still pretty standard questions they just have the space to answer things a little more seriously and give their own view rather than when its on a show and there are 9 of them imo. i find a few of their interviews really nice to see but i wouldn't view anything as super insightful but that's just me. it would be nice to have them sit down with someone they are conformable with and ask them new things cause i think it would be interesting to hear

Only concert goers can argue they pay for the entertainment, everyone else watching passively has cero right and concert goers should know the state of the performances beforehand. If I was to pay for a concert ticket I already know the performance overall might be lackluster, if I decide to pay I am accepting it can be lackluster and have 0 right to bitch because I made the decision to pay knowing I could be disappointed (this goes for all entertainment really). If I was somehow ignorant to the state of their performances then my fault, ignorance is no excuse in this day and age. Either way ranting won't do a single thing to change my past experience or any future ones. There's nothing to be changed and who knows what goes on behind the scenes to judge? It is what it is. Like a TV show, you can turn it off or keep watching, the show goes on without you regardless and everyone has different opinion on how the show is going. /shrug |
