SM needs to promote them more. They need more appearances, events,... in Japan
but the main problem is the language. They NEED to improve their Japanese. Japanese people feel hurt if Korean Idols do not put effort in things like that.
TVeksQ did it right.
da they haven't been on a music show in over a year, right? i saw vids of shin33 and k@r@ performing on a show - dunno if music dr@g0n is popular there, but at least it was something.
Music station music japan music dragon they are all popular. But Music station is THE music program NHK music japan is pretty good as well

I know it's only the first day, but i was hoping for a little more. like the event they went to for it...it's not like the public would have any idea it was happening, yeah? just sones.

TVeksQ did it right. sm know this but they don't care
they said before they want soshi to be global not just in Japan
considering how well they did in Japan when they first debuted, they wasted a good opportunity imo.

snsd is a different era. There were already korean idols like j4ng geun suk and tbixq who are BIG in japan. SM trusts sones and jsones and tbh it's still working. Even without promotion and all that other stuff. They're doing pretty well

ia only soo can speak the language so she can't talk for them all the time, they should have improved their japanese back when they debuted there not now they are already busy and they look tired i don't think they have time for more promotion and language classes. DA Yeah they're too stretched out now and the girls all have individual activities. SM seems to be trying for Muricka! now. IMO back in 2011 when Soshi was on fire in Japan I don't understand why SM didn't strike while the iron was hot.
If SM did to Soshi what they did with TBigAssQue, which is to stay in Japan, learn the language , attend variety shows to show off their amazing personalities, talk shows, events and promote good music or catchy music. They would be HUGE right now. I mean they sold 1 000 000 albums just with a tour back then. IMO SM missed out on a massive opportunity to rake in A LOT of cash and Soshi would've near the top.
Too late now with Hallyu dieing and the girls not being able to speak.

I don't get why they (except for sy) put so little effort in learning japanese. They could at least prepare a speech or a nice sentence instead of just using Korean. After 3 yrs they could've learned a few things

sm are probably fine with the extra money they make there but like another anon said, they could have been huge if sm did what they did with b0a and tveexq

I don't think anyone who truly likes them would want them to promote in america. It's embarassing and useless. America doesn't like a group who's full of asians, whether its boys or girls. There's no diversity

and tbh I'm sick of sentences like "I want to sing." "we will work even harder to get better" blah blah blah. I see no efforts frorm them. They're too comfortable with their current situation

Whats so different about the other girls. They knew they'd be promoting in japan so why not learn the language? I don't expect them to speak fluently but they don't even try...

the thing is. before tbixq there was no kpop idol who was popular there. SM knew that japan was their chance to break though. They learned japanese and went on shows without sb translating for them. They had to in order to make it there snsd is a different era. There were already korean idols like j4ng geun suk and tbixq who are BIG in japan. SM trusts sones and jsones and tbh it's still working. Even without promotion and all that other stuff. They're doing pretty well
their sales are fading though and there was a lot more buzz during their debut sm are probably fine with the extra money they make there but like another anon said, they could have been huge if sm did what they did with b0a and tveexq
ever since paparazzi and flower power... I started to accept the fact that snsd is slowly coming to an end. I don't see the passion or the fire in their eyes. They're snsd and they're doing their job but there's no love... and tbh I'm sick of sentences like "I want to sing." "we will work even harder to get better" blah blah blah. I see no efforts frorm them. They're too comfortable with their current situation da i agree, but i don't think they have the chance to make any efforts they are tired from travelling all the time sm is draining them.

that is why Taeyeon keeps on writing sweet things to sones. I guess she's aware of snsd's stagnation since 2012

You can say what you want about him but this boy has passion and love for music which is why he's getting more and more popular
