Quoting limited to 4 levels deepyou know the place gurl!
da
what's wrong with this discussion? we can't talk about anything here every discussion is considered either shitstirring or dramatic, i feel like this place is slowly turning to the gifs thread.
da IA its dramatic tho so if a gaggle of dramaqueens are being dramatic it should not be a surprise other people are like  to them being all :dramaqueen: and no one can deny we do get shit stirrer trolls a lot these days but no one has said that now. /shrug
relax, it was just me observing the mood ;p I wasn't trying to shitstirr, so please do not feel offended (if you're offended, I apologize, it was not my intention)

they will all flop is the states. I don't think anyone who truly likes them would want them to promote in america. It's embarassing and useless. America doesn't like a group who's full of asians, whether its boys or girls. There's no diversity
that's not the problem. they would actually diversify the market if they succeeded, but americans don't take asians seriously at all. there's no major asian artist or actor in the industry. america media is as white as ever rn.

It's possible for the girls to become really successful in the US if they release a new single that'll go viral. A great song with great choreography and a great MV.
.
No mv with 9 unknown asian girls dancing will ever go viral in the US.

Psy was an exeption because a) it was funny b) it was a solo act[/quote]If anything I think that p$y 'killed' the hallyu waves long term opportunities. You mention 'Kpop' to a lot of people and more often than not they ask if that's about the 'Asian pony man'. Gangnam style was a joke song with a dumb dance that became a global flash mob dance with some unintelligible (for most people) language.

If any other kpop acts debut in the us and make it 'semi-big' they have to contend with not only p$y's popularity but the stigma too. IMO SM should be throwing doubloons at the girls rn, get them passionate about their work, offer up chances for them to explore different genres through singles or an lp. Hire some more diverse song writers and producers, get the group dynamic back into it. Cause rn it really just feels like they're sailing out their fame until axo takes over the world

that is why Taeyeon keeps on writing sweet things to sones. I guess she's aware of snsd's stagnation since 2012
hmm.. do you mean she afraid not famous anymore or sone will leave them away
not of not being famous amymore... but yes. I mean Sones are just human as well. You can't expect them all to just sit around wait forever for them to come back. Sones and (k)sones want to see them regulary. Distance makes the heart grow fonder... but there are other groups who're younger, fresher and more active.

Everyone moves on
hmm i see :)

yes, everyone moves on. but, if they still make a good music sone will be happy. but, lately they never ever make a music. they just sing what 4M wants.

it's so sad. they have telent. but, not used -_-

The entire album too I suppose. Plus the girls need to work on their English a little more.

I don't think American artists are fond of him either. Was it Gr33n D@y that made that Herp3s comment?
this is what i want. make a good music and song.

come on $M just drizzle funds for A list producer
well they had t3ddy ril3y who has made serious hits and created a new genre. what they really need is someone fresh and not just a safe choice. it's nice to work with a legend or any popular producer atm, but most of time they're pretty stale and recycle the same sound. also the lyrics desperately need to change.

one song won't be hard, but if they really want to make it they'll need consistent hits

Come on, you should know that "throwing money at something" doesn't make them succeed. You all complain about 3xo being flops despite $M funding them more than any other artist on that label.

What SNSD needs is smart management and innovation, not more money.

Again, mostly solo acts...
Nine girls doing coreographed dances will be associated automaticaly to cheerleading (not hot omg music).

That said, I do believe they should release songs in English, not for the US market but for their international market.

only ones with name recognition are bruno mars and norah jones (even then she's obscure now and most people don't even know ravi shankar is her dad). FEM had one popular song and i don't even know who those other people are.
