Nearly salmon time

Hi there,

getting to that time of the year again where the fishing just gets better :P

love this time of the year, when the salmon are around.
seems to also bring around kingies and tuna.

heres a pic from last year at the sand patch.

plenty of salmon and bnito around at the moment steve even seen a few blue fin tuna busting up bait fish in the last week or two! got this corker salmon a few weeks ago on a bonito fillet set for a shark!

Saturday at Cheynes was just afew randoms but saw a big school just too far to cast.
Acouple of guys managed to get their lure close with the help of the westerly winds.

But.... On Sunday morning .... Oh my gawwwddd... Everyone was hauling them up!
Heapssss of salmon.

Just got here and i love it !!

fished the back beach at cheynes yesterday afternoon for one salmon. drove the full length of cheynes itself saw nothing but weed.

Did u checked out the rocks area?
That's where most of the fish was caught last sunday morning :)

I was at McGearys rock Sun and everyone had their fill in an hr or two. Plenty of Herring as well

the outside mate. Theres some low flat rocks there if u get in early. or else you might need a gaff or a strong line to get them salmon up.
