Unique Equipment / Abilities
I added this in as its VERY important to the character.
Lightsaber: Scythe Lightsaber ;; Curved Lightsaber
Robe: Custom Battle Armor Robe developed originally by former Battle Master Anoon Tachi passed down to Vash.
Force Abilities: "Wind Blade" - A self-developed technique Gemma founded upon trying to perfect his use with a lightsaber, and ultimately find his "fluid perfection." The ability is in fact simply described as a continuation of his slashes that move forward towards the same direction. They are identical to that of a blade, and cut that which is in front of them (unless blocked by the force). The severity of the cut actually depends on how much Gemma focuses on that individual slash. They are slow though, so they are capable of being dodged. Also, as this is a move that is developed through the force, it asks for Gemma to focus and drains his stamina with its use. So a barrage of wind blades would in the end tire Gemma as well as much as he harms his enemy. The other techniques Gemma uses in the force are basic and canon.
Style: Truly Vash doesn't use a known canon style with his lightsabers, but instead a mixture of styles. He leans on two sides of a coin depending on what lightsaber he is using. The scythe saber dictates a more aggressive style, however focuses on keeping a distance and using more of his "wind blade" techinque instead of his actual blade. The curved saber however is more of a passive style, though he is focused on getting in close. He tries instead to force your mistake and uses its unique build to create his opening. With both he uses more speed and fluid movements than power. So despite claiming to not have a style, he does use a more "speed style."

Personality:
Vash may very well be best known in the order for his feats with a saber, however he is a very philosophical man. He, despite training and keeping a strict regimen of nutrition daily, has an extensive library full of the teachings of former Jedi in the order. He makes sure to take equal time to prepare his mind by studying them and forming his own opinions and ideals based from those studies. Moments of speaking with him showcases this immediately. No matter the topic, Vash will assert his philosophical views into the subject- even if that subject is fighting.. Perhaps, especially if that is the topic. Vash believes in no true style. He, instead, created his own style that is continuously growing as he adds more things he likes, and subtracts the flaws he sees.

He is a very calm man, having a demeanor that would fit to that personality. He doesn't break to pressure, though doesn't seek to find that adrenaline rush of having constant "make or break" moments. That being said, the spotlight actually doesn't have much effect on him (but this merely because he doesn't acknowledge it). He doesn't seek the attention of others in many things actually. Instead he finds answers through his own meditation, rarely seeking the council for help. This is a practice that has made the council weary of him, and give him the title of "rebellious." Further added, he doesn't hold the title as Weapon's Master as definitive proof of the council's dislike, and ultimately lack of trust in his "take it on alone" nature.

With that said, however (as the contradictive rumors go), Vash is actually a social man when he wants to be. He can joke, he trains with other Jedi, and usually communicates with the council regularly about topics unrelated to his own problems. Anything much more than what is said here can be known if you communicate with Vash himself. Everything said here is also by reputation, so take it as you will. [In other words the character can change from situations he faces, so don't look at this as a definitive guide for how he will act. ;)]

History:
Details Here:
Vash Gemma was born the second son to a wealthy family, a blessing causing Vash at birth to be forced to be in the spotlight labeled "famous" to many on his home world of Alderaan. However, the plans was hampered as he was taken within days to the Jedi for his Force sensitivity. He later in life had flashes of what his family looked like through visions; however memories other than that don't exist for him.

As a youngling in the Jedi Order, Gemma trained under Grand Master Thixol Medjol, Master Som Mamvog, and Master Laba Eero. Eventually Gemma was placed into a clan where he learned from older Battle Master Anoon Tachi. As a youngling Gemma became fascinated, and roughly obsessed, with perfecting everything he was asked to do, and if failed he would ultimately freak out. The action led for him (who was estimated to be the first picked to become a padawan due to his abilities) to wait a year to learn patience, and how failure, at times, strengthens your resolve.

After the year was up, and as he grew in knowledge, he was first to be selected the following year to be Padawan to Jedi Master Jaina Keto. She was impressed immediately by Vash's abilities, however she also wisely saw what the council did: his brash nature. He was young, and had the arrogant nature of youth. He (Vash) clearly felt like he could take on the world, and though he worked hard (as hard as he could), he in the end became cocky over his abilities.

That personality changed soon, as after a year of bonding and learning: Master Keto was killed tragically on a solo mission to CIS space. The event of course hurt Gemma, but surprisingly led him to believe he could've saved her if he was stronger- better equipped so he could have went with her. This led to as expected an even more obsessive nature over getting better, faster, stronger, all the while- smarter, and wiser. He yearned for what he deemed "fluid perfection" with a saber, and slowly became comprehensive to the fact he didn't believe a single style truly obtains it.

The council, not believing the young Gemma was ready for knightship gave him a new Master- one he was aquanted with and one Gemma knew already. They knew of his search for perfection particularly with a blade (despite of his secretive "take it alone" nature that has already begun to develop), and decided at the request of the Grand Master to place former Battle Master: Anoon Tachi to teach the boy.

Immediately the two became close as Tachi vowed to help Vash find what he is searching for in combat, and also promised to teach him correctly in the ways of the force. It seemed to be a hand in glove fit for Vash's learning. The two went forth on their missions and over time Vash developed what wasn't precisely a style- but a mixture of styles. In combination with that, Vash also developed a unique lightsaber- one that curved upon reflection.

In their first years together, Vash and Tachi were put on many missions with other Masters with their Padawan learners. Many of whom Vash immediately rubbed the wrong way. He for whatever reason was seen as too impatient, and despite never failing the mission- too headstrong. They created a reputation for Vash which carries on even now, where he was rebellous by nature. This carred on as the duo were sent to work with other Jedis until one seemed to finally accept Vash. The group that finally did were the newly appointed Jedi Knight: Vant Muln and his Padawan Rei Gallia. Both admired Vash's abilities, and of course respected Master Tachi; while Vash despite not showing it, looked at them for learning.

Over time the relationship between the two Padawans became a positive for both, and led for both to eventually hold a mutual respect and fondness for one another. They went on many missions together, and the relationship helped Vash become more patient and understanding (learning from Rei's personality). Eventually as the two got older and more wise learning from one another, they took less and less missions as a quad set, but begun having more missions with their individual masters alone.

Five years passed as Vash grew both in mind and in skills. He was truly wiser, and lost most of the young arrogance (though still showcased it at times) and now seemed ready for the trials. He became a Jedi Knight after seven total years as a Padawan, the usual for a Jedi. He also seemed closer to his goal of mastery as he began experimenting past the known styles and begun weakly showcasing what becomes the "wind blade" he uses today.

A few more years passed as the Republic as he knew it (battling with the CIS) had its quick resolve. Its chaotic new hold created many problems, as Vash was immediately forced unknowingly into a battle with a few former Republic soldiers throwing the title of "killer" on him. This was the scene as he was reunited with his former Padawan (recently knighted) friend: Rei Gallia. The two disposed of that threat only to learn of the Empire's rise from the soldier as he was dying. Then used a flare to get the attention of the rest of his squad. Another wave of soldiers for the already fatigued Jedi. This battle marked the first time Vash used the "Wind Blade" which ultimately saves him and Rei from death.

They were lucky enough to be able to go with the Order in their escape to CIS space, however this was the last time he saw Rei Gallia. The battle led to her decision of leaving the Order entirely, and like many Jedi were scared of the result of what this Empire means for her. Admitting to Vash, she always admired him for his dedication to what he did- and admitted a love for him, as well as ending by saying she simply can no longer handle the situation.

Vash ultimately was impacted by her words and decision, and at times almost turned to the Dark Side with how much he hated this new existence this Empire has created for him. However like most often the case in Vash's life (the death of his first Master, his rejection his first year), he didn't tell anyone his problems. Instead he meditated, and was told immediately he would be chosen for one of the Jedi on the mission to save Vice Chair Rol Wyn. His role in the assignment was minor and he was expected to be more of a backup in case problems arose. The mission was a success, and Vash has since been rumored to being considered for the new role of Battle Master.

Now Vash has been sent on minor missions in attempts to reconcile with former Jedi in an attempt to strengthen the order, as well as other missions related to investigation, etc. Secretly of course he hopes this leads to finding Rei, and learning what happened to his former Master. He further has been asked to help with some training as well as beginning small teaching sessions over combat related studies- and slowly allowed to teach force related studies.
