Farisa's experiences as a hunter have enriched her knowledge of weapons systems and fugitive behavior and little else, specifically human relationships. Buried behind a single-minded focus, discipline, and her prized "professionalism," however, she is good-natured, even -dare we say it- kind. She possesses a sense of humor, but she is not as open or free with her observations as some, i.e. humans. She is cautious, some would say calculating. However, Farisa is simply interested in guarding her self -though not quite as zealous as her peers in guarding her privacy thanks to her own natural curiosity; one must give to receive from time to time- and completing her mission. Her upbringing has encouraged a practicality and enough thoughtfulness that she is not fatally impulsive, but she is nevertheless a young and passionate individual. She makes mistakes. She still fears the unknown a little.

Farisa has a natural aptitude for technology, and she enjoys working with it. That, and observation and analysis seems to be her forte. As a Chiss, she has a high metabolism that annoys her to no end on long voyages and necessitates a hefty stockpile of snacks in her cabin on her ship, the Matador.

History:
Farisa was raised on Csilla to a modest branch of the sprawling Aristocra clan, her parents distant per Chiss customs, but she was nonetheless expected to live up to her family name by serving her people in some capacity. She internalized those expectations and doggedly studied at Chiss Academy. She excelled at diplomacy, but she was middling next to her classmates.

Frustrated, she might have given up- when one day she found herself in a combat course and listening raptly to the professor describe the failings and advantages of different ships and their defenses, pursuing targets and so on.

Her career path had changed. According to Farisa, she was too independent to serve in the military, but more likely, she balked at working with other Chiss. Even she, one of them, could only tolerate the stiff, etiquette-choked atmosphere so long. Her studies had exposed her to foreign philosophies, and she had seen even seen a few aliens in her diplomatic observations courses. She was young, eager to learn, and impatient. She chartered passage on an outbound cruise ship.

She was ogling the aliens at a Humbarine restaurant when her credits were stolen. A few hours later, she was hungry, panic rising, when she met Rolf "the Eye" Mattson, so named because he wore a patch over his left eye. He wasn't a pirate, but he did board ships for a living. He was a bounty hunter, and he needed a new pilot.

Though suspicious, she was desperate. She agreed to pilot the Constant, an aging tin heap miraculous for living up to her name, for six months. The work was dangerous, as the Constant had compromised more than a few of her systems over the years. Despite that, the old tin can confounded every expectation for her imminent failure, though battling the cantankerous contraption, Farisa almost hoped...

She had learned after a month that Rolf's bargains were not to be trusted and that "bounty hunter" was not nearly as respectable a calling as she had imagined, but she must have adapted well to piloting wrecks and conveying fugitives because as soon as she had saved the change, she bought her own ship, bade Rolf adieu, and set about making a name for herself as a bounty hunter, efficient with her crew.

Eventually, however, the Rebellion's spat with the Empire interfered with her plans. She found herself pursuing more and more bounties for rebels and fewer and fewer criminals, though the criminal population had not abated as far as she could tell. She found herself taking sides involuntarily, she torn and resentful as a result. When a Rebellion captain tried to recruit her, she was reluctant until he told her that aliens were welcome. She had grown tired of the bondsmen sneering at her blue skin by that point. After some thought, she agreed. She realized soon enough that she wasn't just running bounties for the other side, she was the enemy.
