Agreed...let's hope, though, that we don't worry about Real Madrid so much that we forget about Basel.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and centre-back Mamadou Sakho have not made the squad for their Champions League Group B game in Basel.
Sturridge, 25, has been absent since suffering a thigh strain while on England duty at the start of September.
The Reds have won one of the five games he has missed, needing penalties to beat Middlesbrough in the League Cup.
Sakho apologised after leaving Anfield early during Saturday's Merseyside derby against Everton.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said Sakho had not made the trip to Switzerland as he was sidelined for two to three weeks after getting injured in a training session.
However, Rodgers said he had reminded the France international of his responsibilities.
"It is not something we expect from any of our players but we have spoken," he said. "He knows fully the situation, he apologised and we move on from it.
"His injury has come in a training session so it is unfortunate really.
"He just felt a pain in his thigh, he has had the scan on it and it shows he has a slight tear in there which will be two to three weeks."

I was hoping he would be fit enough to play 60 minutes or even come on second half. This game just got that little bit tougher sad1

MatchDay Preview
Quote:

Liverpool travel to FC Basel for their second fixture of Champions League Group B on Wednesday, seeking to build on a victory in the previous matchday of the tournament.

Brendan Rodgers' team kicked off their campaign by beating Ludogorets Razgrad 2-1 at Anfield midway through September, while the Swiss outfit were defeated by Real Madrid.

The two sides have met twice previously, with both ending in draws, most recently a pulsating 3-3 encounter at St. Jakob-Park in November 2002.

Team News

Basel v Liverpool (19:45 BST)

Liverpool make two changes from the side that started Saturday's 1-1 draw with neighbours Everton.
Adam Lallana drops to the bench to be replaced by Philippe Coutinho while Jose Enrique, who made his first start in 10 months when the Reds beat Middlesbrough in the League Cup, is in at left-back in place of Alberto Moreno.

Liverpool starting XI: Mignolet; Manquillo, Lovren, Skrtel, Enrique; Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling; Markovic, Balotelli.

As we get set for today's match between Basel & Liverpool, there's already been one score of note in today's Champions League fixtures as Zenit & Monaco played to a 0-0 draw in Group C action; both teams currently sit atop the group standings on 4 pts each w/AVB's side holding down the top spot on goal differential (+2 to Zenit vs. +1 to Monaco)

Bit worried about Enrique and his lack of matches after his long lay off.

Arsenal & Chelsea among them, Pablo; Basel has a bit of a reputation as giant-killers in European football so I'm hoping they keep a sharp focus on Basel tonight and not look too-far afield
