Liverpool Ladies will begin their Women's Super League title defence with a home game against newly promoted Sunderland Ladies on Wednesday, 25th March, KO 19:45 BST.

After facing the reigning FAWSL2 champions, the Reds will then face Birmingham City Ladies in Widnes on Wednesday 1st April before visiting last season’s runners up Chelsea Ladies on Sunday 19th April.

Matt Beard’s side will then play current Continental Cup holders Manchester City Women twice within the space of five days in April, on Saturday 25th April (home) and Wednesday 29th April (away) respectively, before travelling to Notts County Ladies on Sunday 10th May.

The re-start of the Women’s Super League, following the conclusion of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada, will see the Reds travel to London to play Arsenal Ladies on Sunday 12th July before Notts County Ladies visit the Select Security Stadium on Saturday 18th July.

For the third season in a row, Liverpool Ladies will close the season by facing Bristol Academy although the reigning champions will be making the journey South West this year on Sunday, 4th October.

Manager Matt Beard was pleased to be able to begin the upcoming campaign at home: “I am delighted that we will begin the season with a home game in Widnes and hopefully we can get a great crowd at the Select Security Stadium. Sunderland Ladies will provide us with a stern test as they are an exciting, young side so we will need to be fully prepared come the 25th March.”

....good luck, Ladies! thumb1 yay1
