...from earlier....
Liverpool 1-1 Man City

A heart-in the-mouth moment for Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet, who has been impressive in recent weeks after drawing plenty of criticism earlier in the season. The Belgian races off his line to claim a high ball pumped in from deep, but he almost overshoots the penalty area before holding his position to gather.

This has been a pretty fast-paced first 45, Teebag, neither side letting up....my guess is that its' going to come down to someone on either side taking a opportune chance and making it pay off...

BBC Radio Manchester summariser Fred Eyre at Anfield
Liverpool 1-1 Man City
Quote:

"The game is being played at a vicious pace. Manchester City didn't deserve their goal after being hounded and pounded by Liverpool early on but they're looking tons better now. It's a different game now David Silva has come in from where he started on the left."

Liverpool 1-1 Man City

Both sides playing a high-line despite no pressure on the player in possession. Nonsensical, especially given the modern offside laws.

...and there's the halftime whistle!
A fast-paced first 45 minutes saw Liverpool jump to the lead on the foot of Jordan Henderson, only to have it equalized from an Edin Dzeko strike...your halftime score from Anfield: Liverpool 1, Manchester City 1.

Yeah, its' been a fast-paced game; we've had our chances, they've had theirs...like I said earlier, its' gonna' come down to someone on either side - hopefully ours, Macca - taking an opportune chance and making it pay off... b23 b23

....from the BBC's Twitter feed....
-lfcway: Chelsea come to Anfield, they park the bus. Manchester City come to Anfield, attack attack. That's why I'd rather see City win the league.
-RougeMen:EF: Joe Allen has been playing like the Welsh Xavi out there today, better late than never.
-Blake keeble: Liverpool are going to be worn out come 60-70 minutes if they keep pressing like this after Thursday's game.

...some nice passing from Liverpool in the City; unfortunately, they couldn't quite find an opening to exploit...
