Liverpool F.C. vs. Burnley F.C.
Premier League - 4 March 2015, 20:00 GMT (3pm US EST) at Anfield

Quote:

Liverpool welcome Burnley to Anfield for a Barclays Premier League clash under the floodlights on Wednesday evening. When the two sides met earlier this season, on Boxing Day, a Raheem Sterling goal secured a 1-0 victory for Brendan Rodgers' side at Turf Moor. The last time they crossed swords in L4, the Reds ran out 4-0 winners in September 2009.

This Is Anfield: Predicted Liverpool Lineup Vs. Burnley - Sturridge & Sakho To Return?
Excerpt...
Quote:

The Line Up
Little room for manoeuvre with options scarce is likely to see the Reds XI retain a familiar look from over the last few games, but Rodgers does have a small number of potential alterations available to freshen up his side.

The Liverpool manager could choose to make two small changes – in an attempt to keep key players fresh for fixtures ahead – and the first option could see Sakho reinstated to the position he made his own in the back three in place of the improving but still suspect Lovren, with Sturridge entering for Sterling up front, allowing the 20-year-old a rest. Those switches would see the Reds line up like this come 8pm kick-off time Wednesday night:

However, Rodgers could keep the same combination with Sakho and Sturridge coming in again, though he could opt to reintroduce them to the starting team in place of Emre Can – to afford the German a well-deserved rest – and Adam Lallana, who produced a huge effort on Sunday, allowing the Liverpool to unleash an explosive front three. With those alterations, Liverpool’s starting XI could look like this at Anfield:

Having worked tirelessly and produced a huge effort to drag themselves back into the race for Champions League qualification, it is essential the Reds stay focussed on the job in hand and produce a professional performance on Wednesday night in order to grab another vital three points.

Will Danny Ings be comparing tattoos with Martin Skrtel in the Liverpool dressing room next season?
The Burnley striker is out of contract in the summer and the latest rumours have him heading to Anfield.
Will continuing his current run of good form - five goals in his last eight - tonight make sure of a Merseyside move or sabotage his hopes of playing Champions League football?

"I do think Liverpool will finish in that top four. I like many of the purchases Brendan Rogers has made, particularly Emre Can. And Daniel Sturridge has been out, but now he's back and it's a big lift. Liverpool are in great form, they're playing a system the players seem to really like, and it's all going great for them."

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers brings striker Daniel Sturridge back into the team with Lazar Markovic dropping to the bench. That means Adam Lallana will move back into midfield.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche names an unchanged team for the fourth successive game, backing up his claim that he has one of the fittest teams in the league.
-Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, Henderson, Allen, Moreno, Lallana, Sterling, Coutinho, Sturridge
-Burnley XI: Heaton; Trippier, Keane, Shackell, Mee; Kightly, Jones, Arfield, Boyd; Barnes, Ings.

Bafetimbi Gomis is carried off the pitch, oxygen mask in place and conscious.
There is a relieved round of applause around White Hart Lane. We'll bring you more when we know more.

Let's hope its' nothing serious out at WHL but I will be keeping an eye as events warrant; meanwhile, we're about ready for kickoff from the L4...

Former QPR striker Bradley Allen: "Paramedics are on, as quick as they could. There's a deafening silence here within White Hart Lane. I'm sure a number of the fans here within the ground will have their memories jogged by the Fabrice Muamba incident a few years ago. But of course, you don't want to speculate. Back with Muamba, the medical staff were quite incredible with the job they did. Remember that cardiologist who happened to be in the crowd, a spectator that afternoon? And you know, Muamba was at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

"Gomis' eyes are open, and he's moving his head around. He's wearing an oxygen mask and he's receiving excellent support, with people all around him."

...going back to the situation at White Hart Lane, news reports that Swansea player Bafetembi Gomis was taken off on a stretcher; however, he is both awake and alert, which are good signs there...there's no other news atm from WHL and they've resumed play there btwn. Spurs and Swansea.... thumb1
