Liverpool FC: Gerrard & Carra Pick Charity Squads

--The All-Star charity match at Anfield later this month has taken further exciting shape after captains Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher met to select the elite players they each want on their side for the game. Organised by the Liverpool FC Foundation, the Reds' official charity, the Sunday March 29 event will raise funds for the local community and benefit thousands of young people and adults around the city.

On the field, a stellar cast of professionals have been recruited for a special match that gives fans an opportunity to watch Gerrard run out alongside some of their favourite players before he bids farewell to the club at the end of the season. In addition to current first-teamers not on international duty and young talents from the Academy, confirmed guest participants include Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso and Thierry Henry.

But how are they going to line up? It was down to Gerrard and Carragher to settle the matter at Melwood, with an old-fashioned picking session that can be watched in all its glory in the free video below...
