Reds midfielder Fara Williams has today been named as Liverpool Ladies' Digital Ambassador for the 2015 season. Each FA WSL 1 club has chosen a player that focuses on their club’s engagement with supporters across social media. England internationals Siobhan Chamberlain (Arsenal), Jo Potter (Birmingham City), Claire Rafferty (Chelsea), Steph Houghton (Manchester City) and Carly Telford (Notts County) along with Bristol Academy’s Sophie Ingle and Sunderland's Rachael Laws make up the eight.

The Digital Ambassador programme aims to engage more supporters with the FA WSL and its players, driving attendances and encouraging more fans, to play football.

The Ambassadors will use their social media platforms to give some behind-the-scenes insights about life as a footballer, at their clubs and at international level. They will be taking part in campaigns throughout the season to help promote and raise awareness of different aspects of women’s football.
