Mark Schwarzer, Ex-Middlesbrough keeper on Radio 5 live: Liverpool have to take the game to Watford, they are in a good position, not many would've had them this high in the table at this stage of the season. They have to really try to make the most of it. They have to be on the front foot.

(BBC Sport) The man speaks sense...
Watford v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
--Troy Deeney doesn’t like the way modern football is going.

I like the way Troy Deeney is going though.

The Watford captain told Darren Fletcher and Jermaine Jenas on the Friday Night Social that statistics show 74% of players who sign a professional contract at 18 are out of football within five years.

He worries young footballers just care about the nice cars and Instagram posts and have no concept of the real world.

Alistair Bruce-Ball, Radio 5 live commentator at Vicarage Road: If you made a Premier League table just based on the games between the top six teams this season then Liverpool would already have the title in the bag, so good has their form been against their main rivals.

Yet their run-in sees them face four games which are precisely the type of fixtures that have tripped them up, starting at Vicarage Road.

If Liverpool want a return to the Champions League they must find a way to assert themselves against the sides they're expected to beat, just as Chelsea have done all season.

As for Watford, expect a reaction after last week's defeat at Hull and that stinging criticism of their performance by the captain Troy Deeney.

(BBC Sport) 'A moral responsibility'
Watford v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
--Watford captain Troy Deeney was not a happy chap last time out. After accusing his team-mates of 'playing like Fifa' up at Hull, he apologised to the supporters who made the trip and said that the Hornets 'have a moral responsibility' to do better than that.

Watford v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
--A new manager every year? Your instinct tells you that it can't be right, Watford's run of results in recent years suggests the opposite.

Watford v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
----Flags flying, crowd building. Just minutes to go until kick-off at Vicarage Road. Will Liverpool be playing in the Champions League next season? Can Watford go into the top half tonight?

Full time. An amazing acrobat goal from Emre Can for the win. So important to capitalise on recent results from other teams. Well done reds.

*dusts off all the rain and hail* Just got the power back on about 15 minutes ago, so apologies for not being on; I'll have an "as-it-happened" live-blog later tonight.
