...what we had all thought was going to end up being a managable situation.....just went right straight off-the swe1 rails now; going off the Anfield HQ twitter feed....

Disastrous timing. Plus, no VVD, no Keita, no Coutinho. Doesn't leave me with confidence

So that back injury was all a front while he got his move.

Fuck him. No player is bigger than the club. I've witnessed Fowler Gerrard Torres Suarez and more leave and got over it. Klopp wants only certain players and with the transfer window still open we will make signings.

Hyman Roth in Godfather II said it best: This is the business we're in.

As Macca has said, we've seen this dance before and each time it cuts deep, but we soldier on, we soldier on. Whether we like to admit it or not, Liverpool is not the club it once was back in the 70s when European clubs feared coming to Anfield on a weekday night, feared to see us out on the pitch....now, could we someday return to those hallowed heights in Europe? We certainly could....but right now, we are - and it pains me to say this - we are but a bit player in Europe at the moment and the continental clubs know this.

Now, assuming Coutinho actually leaves - and for all intents-and-purposes, filing a transfer request effectively means he's as good as gone from Anfield - Liverpool has one goal it must accomplish: make sure to get every cent it can from the transfer and then use that money to find players who can fit into Klopp's system here because Coutinho's departure will most certainly open up a hole in our offensive arsenal at a time when we really don't need such a problem.... sad1 sad1

I don't think so though. VVD is still at Southampton despite his TR. We kept Suarez for one season after he wanted to move. We failed to land Keita even though he wanted the move. It all depends on Klopp and FSG
