(Sky Sports) LEWIS JONES AT ANFIELD --Pleasure to be here, it must be said. This is my first ever visit to this legendary cathedral of football – it’s my own fault for supporting a rubbish team. I’ve tasted both blue and red this morning having parked at Goodison then walked across Stanley Park, which was soaked in sunshine and jumpers for goalpost matches, to Anfield. |

(Sky Sports) MIGNOLET DROPPED --Simon Mignolet wants talks with Jurgen Klopp after he was dropped for today's game. Sky Sports News understands Loris Karius will start against the Gunners with Danny Ward on the bench, leaving Mignolet out of the squad just a fortnight after Klopp confirmed him as the club's No 1. Karius last started a Premier League game in December, and sources say Mignolet is neither ill, injured nor the subject of any disciplinary proceedings. |

(Sky Sports) LEWIS JONES AT ANFIELD --It’s impossible to come to Anfield and not stop off at The Hillsborough memorial. Even though it was a good three hours before kick-off the memorial was three people deep with Liverpool and Arsenal fans paying respects. |

(Sky Sports) EARLY TEAM NEWS --We've heard that Simon Mignolet is set to be 'rested' for Liverpool, but what else do we know so far? Emre Can and Trent Alexander-Arnold are set to be available after sustaining minor issues against Hoffenheim while Georginio Wijnaldum returned home to the Netherlands for the birth of his third child in midweek but is in line to play. The big news for Arsenal is that Alexis Sanchez is set to return and make his first appearance of the season. Defender Laurent Koscielny returns from a three-match ban. |

(Sky Sports) LACAZETTE'S VOW --"I'm going to score goals at key times in the games where the team may have struggled in previous years. This season I'm going to help this team win them and that's what Arsenal have to do: win games and trophies." New Gunners striker Alexandre Lacazette did not shy away from outlining his ambitions when he spoke to Sky Sports' Thierry Henry this week. -Read more: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/31969/11006195/alexandre-lacazette-vows-to-fire-arsenal-to-silverware-in-exclusive-interview-with-thierry-henry |

(Sky Sports) LEWIS JONES AT ANFIELD --Liverpool are the masters of big games under Jurgen Klopp. Against teams in the top-six last season they were unbeaten (W5, D5). Those dropped points against those lower-ranked teams did restrict what could've been a season to remember. Meanwhile, the mood and expectation in and around the away end is low. It's clear to see they have little faith in their team on the road in these big games. They've not won or kept a clean sheet in their last 12 away games against one of the top-six teams. After last weekend's defeat at Stoke, there could be frustration spilling out if than barren run is extended today. Wenger out, anyone...?" |

(Sky Sports) LEWIS JONES AT ANFIELD "Having wandered pitch-side to get a good look at the pitch (10/10 by the way), I'm now in the tunnel area awaiting the arrivals of the managers for their pre-match interviews with Geoff Shreeves. To my left Martin Tyler is working away on his notes for the game." |

(Sky Sports) SANCHEZ TO SIGN? --Will he start today? Will he be on the bench? We will find out shortly, but Arsene Wenger says he hopes Alexis Sanchez will sign a new Arsenal deal at some point this season. The Chilean is out of contract next summer, and Wenger told Sky Sports: "We are in a very simple state, he has one year to go and I want him to stay. And if possible, during the season, extend the contract. "I've dealt with this kind of situation many times, because when we built the stadium we had such restrictions on the financial front, and we weren't too much in a position where we had a choice to make a decision to sell. We are hopefully going to a future where we will be much stronger on that front." |
