(Sky Sports) SANCHEZ, KOSCIELNY START
Right then....

As expected, there's no Mignolet for Liverpool, so Karius starts in goal. Gomez starts in defence ahead of Alexander-Arnold, and otherwise it's the same team that beat Hoffenheim in midweek.

For Arsenal, some interesting changes. Sanchez goes straight into the starting XI on his return from injury while Koscielny is back from a suspension. Summer signings Lacazette and Kolasinac both drop to the bench along with Mustafi, who could be set to leave the club soon.

Juliette Ferrington, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield: It was too hot for Liverpool supporter Matthew when he arrived at the ground, and he took the chance to show me his tattoo. He's going for 3-1 Liverpool.

"There's always goals in this fixture. We've had a good start - a draw and two wins and Champions League qualification so there's a lot of confidence," he said. "I'm nervous about Alexis Sanchez, though. He's a class act but hopefully we will keep Philippe Coutinho and if that happens will probably be near enough to win the Premier League. Nothing but positive."

(BBC Sport) Liverpool's home and away tally against Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United was better last season than any other side. Forward Roberto Firmino has scored three goals in four Premier League games against the Gunners.

Juliette Ferrington, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield: Now if you're a regular at Anfield you'll know in the Kop there's a huge flag in honour and tribute to Owen McVeigh who lost his battle with leukaemia in December 2015.

The Liverpool squad will wear this special t-shirt in tribute of the 11-year-old during the warm-up and help raise awareness of the The Owen McVeigh Foundation.

Jordan Henderson in his programme notes says: "The flags on the Kop are an incredible sight and there is always one that catches my eye. It features a dad holding his son's hand and carries the words: 'It's off to the match we go'. I can say without hesitation that all of the players know what the banner stands for and who it represents."

Phil McNulty, BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield: Spidercam is gliding eerily near The Kop end as Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is being put through a tough pre-match work-out.

It won't just be Spidercam keeping a close watch on the young German today after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's decision to rest Simon Mignolet, a decision greeted with widespread surprise. There was little hint Klopp was considering such a shock move until this morning - but he as shown great faith in Karius, who must now reward his manager against Arsenal.

Juliette Ferrington, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield: Been chatting to fans outside the ground. Most of them are wondering why Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet appears to have been rested for this game. Rhys says it's a really strange decision.

"I'm fully confident Loris Karius came come in and do a job, Jurgen Klopp obviously trusts him and we trust Klopp as fans," he said. "I was on the bus on the way up here when I read about it and I don't know what to make of it to be honest. Hopefully we will still go on and win the game today."

Robbie Savage, Ex-Leicester City & Wales midfielder at Anfield for 5 live Sport: If I was an Arsenal fan coming to Merseyside today I would have looked forward to my instinctive, goal scoring record signing Alexander Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez playing together for the first time. I tell you, that's a big decision by Arsene Wenger!

Having Laurent Koscielny back for the visitors is massive. The pace of Mane, Salah and Firmino will really stress that Arsenal back line. If I was a Liverpool attacker I'd fancy my chances today.

It's going to be really interesting today - I'm very excited about it. So it's bound to be a 0-0...
