[It took a little bit more bravery than he'd like to admit to, to open up the letter his mom handed him. He's been resolutely ignoring the slow, painful process of being left behind at home by... well, everyone. It's not been easy, though. And really, he's probably not succeeded at ignoring it at all.] [Accepting the letter, though, means that he has to confront the fact that he's alone now, and probably hear all about how great things are going for his little brother (who he misses so acutely that it feels like a knife sometimes).] [... But that's not what it is. His hands are shaking, not even halfway through, and he sort of feels like throwing something, because it's so -- why would he do that? Well, alright. He can't blame him. Seriously, though! His feelings were "inappropriate" so he just left? ... Does that mean he doesn't have those feelings anymore?] [Osomatsu doesn't really want to take a chance at that. He scrambles up to his feet, not even reading the whole letter, and runs downstairs to the living room where his parents are. Surely they're a little alarmed by how frazzled he looks, and how he sort of croaks out, "where's Choromatsu's office?" but his dad gives him an answer nonetheless, and he's out the door pretty much immediately after.] [He'll just wait outside until Choromatsu leaves. ... Hopefully he won't work overtime tonight. ... Maybe he can read the rest of the letter while he waits, and try not to freak out or anything. Try.] |

[Choromatsu isn't sure what he expected to happen, writing a letter. He only knew he wasn't sure how to say it all face to face. He's pretty sure, though, that he didn't expect Osomatsu to just. show up. To wait for him outside of work. After all, he had no expectations about him feeling the same way...] [Sure enough, though, he finds himself startled, really, to see his brother standing there. He can only assume it's because his letter got there.] Osomatsu...what are you doing here? [He's not sure what else he can say, he's not sure he wants to jump to conclusions even if there's only one likely. He's still afraid of what the actual reaction to the letter is anyway, he can feel his heartbeat increased as he waits for an answer. It feels like a longer wait than it probably is.] |

[Seeing him is still sort of like a punch to the gut, looking all formal and nicely dressed in his suit, so responsible and so... far away. So he reaches out pretty immediately to fix that, grabbing Choromatsu by the wrist and tugging him along with him, fully intent on just finding an alley and -- well, he'll figure it out.] I'm taking you home. You never should have left. [He starts to march off and do just that, pulling his brother with him, and seriously, the first sign of some out of sight sort of nook, ... not close to Choromatsu's office, he's going to address the contents of that note very, very thoroughly.] |

[He doesn't want to pull away from his brother, though part of him thinks he should. In the end, Choromatsu doesn't find it in himself to do that, so he's being pulled along by Osomatsu to he doesn't know where.] Home... Osomatsu, my place isn't this way. [It's a weak attempt, it lacks conviction and that's more apparent than Choromatsu was aiming for it to be. He did want this job, he knows he has to be self-sufficient one day whether he wants to or not, but. Was it worth this? Did it have to be away from everyone, from Osomatsu?] |

That's not really your place. You already have a house. You should come back to it. [Maybe he's being selfish. Choromatsu's doing well for himself, and maybe he's happier like this. Maybe that letter was a chance to part from his feelings, to try and get over them, and be "normal" or something. He shouldn't take that away from him, but he's... well, he's kind of a rotten jerk, after all, so...] ... Did you mean what you said in the letter? Do you still feel that way? [Of course, he's still walking, and still pulling Choromatsu along with him, and that means, quite conveniently, he doesn't have to see Choromatsu's expression, and Choromatsu can't see his nervousness.] |

That's... [He's not wrong, that house will always feel like home. He's just trying to face the reality that he's an adult and should be doing something of his own, realistically. At least, that's what society expects. That and...not him wanting to kiss his brother and keep sleeping next to him every night.] [It's not that he parted with those feelings. It's that he was trying to, and failing. And Osomatsu showing up certainly didn't do anything but fan the flames. He can't lie now.] Yes. And yes... [He's thankful too that he doesn't have to try to look Osomatsu in the eye, even for a simple three word answer.] |

Then come home. [Surely, saying that after Choromatsu's been honest like that should give him at least a pretty huge clue as to how Osomatsu feels, too, but just in case it doesn't... they're a few blocks away, now, that should be enough, right? They'll have to be -- he doesn't want to get either of them in trouble, but he also doesn't want to wait.] [So he gives Choromatsu an especially hard tug, pulling him rather abruptly into a side alley and (gently) shoving him up against the wall, crowding into his personal space and looking him in the eyes.] Or let me come with you. [He leans in a little, though it should be more than clear what he's planning on doing, and lowers his voice -- it's not that he has to seduce his brother or anything here, but if he can leave Choromatsu a bit weak in the knees while convincing him, that's good too, right?] That might be better, actually, since -- well. I wouldn't have to worry about doing this. [And he kisses him, maybe a little hard, but that's with years worth of wanting behind it and too many days worth of loneliness, so it's understandable, surely.] |

[Osomatsu must know how badly this is tugging at his heart strings, how hard it is to formulate any kind of answer. He wants to tell him that work has been going well, his place is comfortable, all kinds of things... but honestly, for all the mayhem he still doesn't miss, there are things he aches for. But the prominent one on his mind right now is sleeping next to his brother.] [Even that is suddenly hard to think about; Osomatsu is so close and then kissing him, and it's not gentle but Choromatsu doesn't care. He's wanted to for a long time and there's enough emotion in it that he can tell Osomatsu has too. He could kiss his brother right here for hours. Even that wouldn't begin to make up for the time they've waited.] [But he makes himself stop after a minute or two, a little breathless.] Come live with me, then. I miss you... |

Yeah, I miss you too. The whole time. Even before you left. It -- it really sucked. [That's an understatement, of course, but he'll understand. It was awful, seeing Choromatsu just, essentially, slip out of his grasp entirely without being able to say anything... He'd sort of figured that he'd lost all his chances, then, would have to be stuck living a life that was distant from his brother's, and then the rest of them had left, too, as if Choromatsu wasn't bad enough. Kind of a nightmare, really, for Osomatsu.] ... Are you sure? I mean, I'd get wanting independence. I guess. It won't hurt my feelings. [It would, but, still. He should say it at least and try to look like a more selfless person than he actually is, probably.] |

You don't have to tell me. Leaving like that was the hardest decision I-- well, you read the letter, I guess. [What words could really capture how much he hurt then, and even now just thinking about it. Even with Osomatsu right in front of him just after shoving him against a wall and kissing him - finally - it aches. But surely Osomatsu knows the feeling all too well.] [He laughs - maybe it's more of a scoff - just a little bitterly.] Yes it would. You came all the way here, there's no way it wouldn't... But I'm sure. Really. [Of all the times for Osomatsu to try to be more selfless, really...] |
