As a forum with a majority of JRPG-loving nerds, surely most of us have a pokemon game tucked away somewhere.
In this topic, you can post the team you have on the most recent game you've played. Feel free to add what game it is, where you are, what challenge (if any) you're playing, and their names, moves, genders, abilities, descriptions, etc.
------
I'm playing a Pussylocke challenge of Pokemon BlazeBlack, an amazing hack of Pokemon Black.
For those that's not familiar with blaze black, it's a sort of 'hard mode' hack with very powerful opponents. It also has all 649 pokemon available for capture without trading, and most of the pokemon have awesome upgrades to their abilities, moves, stats or all 3. Its counterpart is Volt White.
As for the Pussylocke challenge, it's like Nuzlocke, only the rule is that you can only capture the 1st pokemon you encounter in a new route, you don't have to treat a faint as a death and release/box them.
My pokemon so far. I've defeated the Nacrene gym and just heading to the forest. Goddamn Lenora was hard >_<

I'm a bit of a Pokemon fanatic myself and I spent a lot of time playing competitively throughout each generation. (But I promise I won't flood this topic with my flights of fancy pertaining the subject.)
I'm pretty sure my current friend code for White is 0089 5585 9963. I may edit that if I find out otherwise.

That's awesome. I'm a bit of a fanatic too, although I haven't played competitively since generation III. I still read about what's going on though.
The thing that bothers me about the metagame is that it all seems to revolve around Stealth Rock and Weather. Stealth Rock blows holes in many of my favorite pokemon, giving them an auto disadvantage, and weather managing is so central that other strategies get obsolete, as far as I can tell. [/rant]
Ah well. I'm looking forward to Black/White 2 when they're released in English. I'm positively delighted that pokemon I like are available so early (Riolu, Magnemite, Koffing, Growlithe, etc).

250+ hours logged between Generations III through V, but about 99.56% is single player. I've had about two online matches and after that, my DS' stopped wanting to take the local WiFi anywhere.
The last Nuzlocke run I completed would probably be Soul Silver. I typically underlevel if it means getting ahead quicker, and I lost a handful of members along the way, including five out of six team members going up against Lance at the end.
I eventually rebuilt the team along the Kanto Circuit, demolishing Gym Leaders in Saffron City until I had attained what I expected to be an insurmountable level advantage, and also making sure that I could handle the opponents without much hassle from type.
With that out of the way, I felt confident in going for the final triumph - Red.
Red was an interesting battle, of what little I remember from over a year ago - He was not nearly so difficult the first time as he was the second. It was on my second and rather more arrogant clash that he killed my Arcanine.
At any rate, here's my team at the moment.
Typhlosion - The Dragon Slayer Hold Item - Expert Belt Rock Slide Flamethrower Blast Burn Shadow Claw
Vileplume - The Drainer Solarbeam Giga Drain Stun Spore Petal Dance
Pidgeot - The Transport Mirror Move FeatherDance Tailwind Fly
Snorlax - The Wall Crunch Giga Impact Rock Climb Surf

*update on Nuzloque*
I just arrived in Castelia City after beating Roxie. Nothing too difficult so far, although from here on things might get messy.
Rythin (M) Lv.20 Dewott
 - Tackle - Tail Whip - Water Gun - Razor Shell
Caught at: (Starter)
Now that he has Razor Shell he's my team bruiser.
Rusty (M) Lv.20 Herdier
 - Tackle - Leer - Take Down - Bite
Caught at: Flocessy Ranch
Excellent power so far. Pretty much my team tank.
Ceylon (M) Lv.20 Liepard
 - Cut - Pursuit - Assist - Thief
Caught at: Route 20.
Now that he's evolved, I'll have to see what he can do. I hope Thief will come of use sometime, plus I think Fake Out will be useful later.
Timmins (F) Lv. 20 Watchog
 - Tackle - Hypnosis - Crunch - Confuse Ray
Caught at: Route 19.
She's survived so far, now hopefully her status moves will get me out of some tight spots later.
Bentley (M) Lv.20 Growlithe
 - Leer - Ember - Roar - Flame Wheel
Caught at: Virbank Compound
Just when I needed a decent fire type, he comes along. However, I'll have to use him tactically. Evolving too soon and he misses out on powerful moves, and if I wait too long, he'll be very vulnerable in the later game. Especially when Triple Battle Veterans start appearing.

Okay, I'll hop on board. Though, not with Black/White 2, but with Platinum! It's also a Nuzlocke... A couple are under leveled due to the fact I just got done losing 3 of them in the past few battles... ;-;/ That means no Houndoom, Gardevoir, and Staraptor...
Anywhere, here we go~
Nelah (F) Lv.43 / Togepi (Bashful Nature) -Grass Knot -Psychic -Wish -Ancient Power
She's pretty weak right now, but he can still take some hits. She's got a way to go before she becomes awesome... With Serene Grace, Togekiss is going to be my haxer. >:l
Cascade (F) Lv.46 Vaporeon (Brave Nature) -Aqua Ring -Surf -Aurora Beam -Shadow Ball
When your Vaporeon can take not one, but TWO of Candince's Abomasnow's WOOD HAMMERS, and STILL survive from the hail after wards, and beat the poke that killed two of my pokemon before...(She was like the same level too...) Cascade is a freakin' bamf. :l
Lexy(M) Lv.45 Luxray(Brave Nature) -Crunch -Charge -Thunder Fang -Iron Tail
Lexy has been awesome. He was the first poke I caught in the game, and has survived the whole time, by being awesome. With only one weakness, he's been able to take over a lot, and deal good damage and generally kicking ass. He's one of my serious bruisers, but he can also take a fair few hits.
Plato (M) Lv.45 / Torterra (Sassy Nature) -Earthquake<333 -Razor Leaf -Crunch -Synthesis
Torterra has also been a totally reliable pokemon. Like Vaporeon, he can tank damn well. He can also dish out incredible awesome damage, too. I mean, he can tank self destructs, and stay in the green :l. Plus, Earthquake kills pretty much anything. He is a bit slow, though, but ah well~
Gott (M) Lv.46 / Golbat (Brave Nature) -Bite -Fly -Poison Fang -Air Cutter
Newly added to my team, and newly leveled. I should be close to Crobat, hopefully. ;-;. He'll be my speed demon, and he can already do damn well against a lot of pokemon.
...and finally... This Pokemon will make you all shit bricks!
 Egg.
It should be Riolu. 8D

Well, I've decided to put my Black 2 nuzlocke on hold (I've just defeated Burgh and no losses so far) while I focus on Mystery Dungeon.
Anyway, I was also attempting a "Fixed Party" challenge for Blaze Black 2 (a very difficult hack with all 649 pokemon available, with improvements), and completed it on the weekend.
The Fixed Party challenge is that you only use 6 pokemon through the whole game, no changing party members (except if you don't want to use your starter, switch them out for something you can catch before the first gym or whatever). I remember that's how I did it in Blaze Black 1, by going around catching a team full of pokemon strong against a gym leader, so it was a challenge to do it this way.
Let me tell you, Iris was horrifyingly difficult. I was almost swept by her Dragonite, Haxorus and Feraligatr, all of which had moves like Outrage, Dragon Dance and the like. But I just managed to defeat her.
This was my team in the end:
Deimos (M) Houndoom Lv.75
 - Inferno - Flamethrower - Dark Pulse - Nasty Plot
I used him as my "starter", as he was available on the second route, and switched out Oshawott immediately after. He was a great fire type throughout the game, but a bit vulnerable since moves like Earthquake and Stone Edge were quite common. His best moment came when he swept Shauntal and Caitlin.
Tiama (F) Salamence Lv.76
 - Dragon Dance - Dragon Claw - Strength - Fly
Note that Strength was changed to a 75 power 100% accuracy Rock type move. Once she evolved, she became an excellent addition to the team. However, the game was rigged against her favour, with lots of Ice, Rock and Dragon type move users running around. Still though, she managed to do well against Drayden's dragons, and she had Moxie too, which was great. Not so much against Iris though.
Kedron (M) Manectric Lv.74
 - Thunderbolt - Thunder Wave - Charge Beam - Flamethrower
The speedy glass cannon. Due to the large amount of Flying and Water types in the game, I always need an Electric type and he did the job well. Best moments was him owning the Water and Flying gyms.
Paluma (F) Gastrodon Lv.75
 - Ice Beam - Earth Power - Surf - Hidden Power (Grass)
She was pretty much my Special tank. Great for killing Dragons, Rocks, other Water/Grounds (thanks to a lucky high powered HP Grass) and Fire/Electric/Poison types. Sadly Iris was well prepared for her, equipping her strongest dragons with Yache berries. Nonetheless, she was excellent throughout the game.
Zyklon (F) Weezing Lv.71
 - Pain Split - Will'o'wisp - Sludge Bomb - Clear Smog
Sadly I never really found much use for her. Burning was handy, as was Clear Smog, but she just couldn't fill her role as a Physical wall that well, what with all the high power threats running around, that and Poison isn't a great attacking type. Pain Split was handy a few times though.
Rakshas (M) Scrafty Lv.75
 - Dragon Dance - Strength - Hi Jump Kick - Crunch
Ah, now this guy was a magnificent bastard. One Dragon Dance and there are no brakes on this rape train. I gave him a Wide Lens so Hi Jump Kick wouldn't miss, so that was handy. He thrashed Ghetsis, Colress and Grimsley, plus he one-shotted Kyurem. And he was my last man standing against Iris, but managed to hit her Feraligatr first.

*revives topic*
X and Y are now out, and I'm sure that all of us want to show off our parties.
Here's mine after beating the 2nd Jim. And let me say that the Exp. Share in this game is amazing.
Refia (F) Lv.31 Braixen - Light Screen - Flame Charge - Ember - Psybeam
Unfortunately she's stuck with a crap nature, but she works really well even without it. She's fast and gets a lot of hits in.
Masamune (M) Lv.20 Honedge - Shadow Claw - Swords Dance - Fury Cutter - Shadow Sneak
While he is quite slow and fragile on the special side, I've been happy with his attack and defense. I look forward to seeing what uses he'll have later.
Amper (F) Lv.28 Pikachu - Nuzzle (20 damage Electric physical attack that always paralyzes) - Thunder Shock - Quick Attack - Double Team
She came with a Light Ball so that means she hurts. I always need an Electric type on my team and Pikachu works nicely.
Porom (F) Lv.27 Linoone - Rock Smash - Cut - Sand Attack - Strength
She works great even if only as a HM slave. Hooray for Pickup.
Lamia (F) Lv.29 Floette - Wish - Magical Leaf - Fairy Wind (Like a Fairy Type Thundershock) - Nature Power
I'm delighted with her. Fairy type is quite good defensively, and her Sp.Def is off the charts. A bit slow, but that's okay.
Damascus (M) Lv. 30 Lucario - Bulldoze - Quick Attack - Copycat - Force Palm
Lucario always ends up on my team as the Fighting type, just because he wrecks so much. Hasn't let me down yet.
Also, I've tried out the features of the Amie on him. The Amie "adoration" level doesn't appear to affect friendship evolutions, but so far he's healed himself from paralysis and dodged some moves in battle. Also messages show up like "Feels uneasy" if the foe pokemon has some supereffective moves.
