We need one of these. Talk about films, give reviews of any new films you see etc.
Ted 6/10 Pretty funny and I quite liked the two main human characters, but bland and forgettable story and inconsistent humour hold it back.
Shaun of the Dead 8/10 This is a great movie. The humor is spot on, it's clever, the story is simple but the characters are very likable and interesting enough to keep it exciting. Very much enjoyed it.
Hot Fuzz 8/10 See Shaun of the Dead. A top notch pair of films, can't wait for the third instalment.
The Dark Knight Rises 5.5/10 Like Avengers, this film just has no depth to it. Unfortunately though, I didn't think this one had the same redeeming features such as the comedy and generally being fun to watch. I just found TDKR to be stupid. The plot was really bad (probably the worst part, a lot of major points don't have any explanation and it's riddled with holes), the Batman character is really boring, I didn't care about the stakes at all, the Villan was bland and had stupid motives. I just don't think I like comic book/super-hero movies, even these which are the darkest and most adult (mind you, I liked The Dark Knight). There was a couple of big hand to hand fights between Batman and the main villain, and I thought they just looked ridiculous to me. And this is coming from someone who's favorite type of action scene is hand-to-hand combat scenes. Wow, just realised I liked Ted more than TDKR... didn't see that coming.

I watched Scary Movie 3 on TV last night. I've seen this movie quite a few times, and it's my favorite of the Scary Movie franchise.
Still, I wonder why the Diva network chose to air Scary Movies 1 and 3 near-constantly, but not 2 or 4?

I agree that 4 was the worst. But what's wrong with 2? I hated the characters in 2, but the humor was usually spot-on.
