Location Alvar Academy for Young Mages; Sefirah
Date September 7th
Time 13:00 hour

The day many juvenile mages across the realm had been waiting for finally arrived. The Alvar Academy had opened it's gates for all of it's students, both returning and new. Hugs and tears were exchanged as parents stood with their teens while they said their goodbyes before the students were escorted through the 70 ft crystal gates that surrounded the campus. It seemed that even some of the academy's own staff were moved by the precious moments exchanged between parents and their almost grown offspring. Students mingled amongst themselves making their introductions or those who have returned for their second and third years sharing the events of their summer.

"...It's so beautiful..." a young raven haired woman sniffled with her hands clasped together and her eyes shedding tears as her heart was moved. "It's like this every year...the beginning of the semester and graduation. I just....I just can't take it! Can you feel the love radiating around us, Veronica?" the woman asked whilst looking to her blonde companion. The blonde woman seemed less than amused by her friend's bleeding heart and merely closed her eyes and shook her head at the other's blubbering.

"I feel like this day needs to speed up. The orientation ceremony is always so draining...then next week is the festival....it's just going to be a long two weeks, Raina." the blonde woman opened her eyes once more as more students passed by her. Specifically a few males that seemed to earn a grunt of appreciation from her. "Though perhaps it won't be as bad as it's been playing out in my mind..."

"...They're students, Veronica." Raina's eyes narrowed. "Minors."

"I'm trying to figure out when the hell 16 and 17 year olds started getting built like that. Is there some new potion supplement that's been circling around on the drug scene?" Veronica pondered.

"I think it's called well balanced diet and exercise." Raina replied nonchalantly. "But I believe it is time for us to head to Galdr Hall. The Grand Master will be starting the ceremony soon."

"Very well. Let's get this day over with." Veronica nodded and walked the paved path from the gates towards the main entrance of the academy with Raina in tow. Meanwhile four shadowed figures stood upon the grand arches set before the school. Two human shaped, the other two no larger than puppies. A single ray of the sun's light partially revealed their appearance: two males; one sporting sparkling gold chest exposed armor, his left hand rested upon his hip. Next to him stood the other figure who was slightly taller, more red samurai-like attire, headband dancing in the wind while his arms were folded over his chest. At their feet were two small winged mammals. One rainbow colored with butterfly like wings and feathery moth-like antennae, the other possessed white shaggy fur with feathered wings and several horns protruding from it's head.

"Veronica Elwyn and Raina Oakley...two of Alvar's finest instructors...yet I cannot say I miss them." the gold clad warrior shook his head as his sight left the two teachers and looked down to his furred companions. "Falk...are they here?"

"They're close." the white furred creature responded and raised his muzzle to the air, taking in a strong whiff. "Very close. Though they're not the only ones here..." he growled lowly.

"I figured that." the young man responded with a small frown. "This day will prove to be a test for them then. But we still need to retrieve her. We will not stand a chance for what's ahead without her powers. Iris," he glanced down to the rainbow schemed creature to his left. "I will need you to make a trip to Earth."

"Not a problem. " Iris nodded. "I will not let you down, my lords." she spoke to both men before her fluttering wings picked her up from the arch and began to carry her into the distance, leaving a trail of sparkles in her wake.

"Way to be obvious, Iris." the gold clad male sighed scrubbing a hand over his face. "Until she gets back, we just play the waiting game. " his lips curled into a small smirk as his might went to thinking of a certain gloomy prince of darkness who would be making his appearance here under his instruction. "Soon, my friend your destiny will become clear."

"...You're thinking of another guy and smirking." Falk said rather bluntly as he looked up to the other male clad in red and white. "Are you okay with this?"

"...Shut up, Falk." the male in gold sweat dropped.

Location Portland, Maine
Date September 7th
Time 12 am

"SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!"

The crowd cheered through the pulsing music blaring through the speakers. The youth of Portland High School had gathered for their last party of the summer before the new school year. The drinks were poured and small glasses of tequila were passed out amongst the those in attendance. They were immediately knocked back and hands reached for more. The foam and bubbles poured from the machine onto the party hostess' pool deck leaving all in it's wake covered in suds. They didn't seem to care as they continued to dance, high on life....some high on other things.

"Like, Gretchen throws the most rad parties ever! This totally rocks!" said a black haired girl. Her name was Bianca Christensen, also known as the Party Rat as she was seen at every party thrown in by the student body and even some college kids despite not really knowing them. She was about 3 beers and 4 tequila shots into the night and showed no signs of stopping soon.

"Lucille! Like, get over the mopey attitude! Clean up your grump and have another drink! You've been nursing that Vodka and Cranberry for the last hour! Seriously!" she shouted to the blonde girl posted against the wall next to her with a red plastic cup in hand. Her hair was tied back into twin pigtails held in place by black and purple bands. Silver crescent moons dangled from the lobes of her ears and her attire for the evening consisted of a simple black halter top dress with a pink cardigan sweater and a pair of black heeled sandals.

"O-M-G. Okay, like so what if you came here with Austin and Gretchen totally kidnapped and took him to her room and they haven't been seen for the past 2 hours. Like, get over it. There are plenty of other guys here!" Bianca laughed.

"..." Lucille shot a side glance to Bianca. "Aside from the fact that Austin and I have been dating for the past 3 weeks? Forgive me if I'm a bit miffed!" the blonde shouted. "Stupid Gretchen and her big fancy house, candy red mercedes, fat checking account, perfect tanned skinned and sculpted body..."

"Don't forget flawless hair like silk..." Bianca added.

"Not helping!" Lucille threw her cup to the ground, spilling it's contents.

"O-M-G! What is wrong with you!? That was a good vodka and cranberry! You criminal!" Bianca screamed.

"Whatever." Lucille sighed stepping over the mess. "It's 12 am....I'm heading home. I have to....keep looking for the college I want to attend. You know, sophomore year, it's time to get cracking on that stuff."

"...You're just going to go home, lock your doors, turn down all the lights and watch Magic Mike." Bianca responded with a smirk. "Then you'll get depressed over Austin, cry and then eat whatever you have left of the tub of Oreo ice cream you have in your freezer."

"....You don't know me!" Lucille pointed to the other girl as her expression expressed hurt. Yes, it seemed Bianca knew her far too well and she did not appreciate being read like she had been. "Enjoy the party." were her final words before storming off from the pool deck...but not before grabbing a doughnut for the road from the table of party food that had been set up.

Lucille stormed through the pint sized mansion that was Gretchen Johnson's home and exited through the front door. Only half the doughnut remained as she shuffled through the front lawn. Before the final bite could be taken, the blonde found herself eating green as she tripped over a sprinkler and fell face forward into the grass.

"...damn it, even her grass is perfect!" she thought while finding it irresistible to not nuzzle her face against the softness of the lawn. After a few moments she finally rolled over onto her back and released a soft sigh as she started up into the night sky. Viewing the moon and the stars. They were so gorgeous that night and it would have been romantic to view them with Austin....if he hadn't been taken by Gretchen.

"...huh?" Lucille's eyes squinted as she could see an intense shine of bright light in the distance. Perhaps it was an airplane? Though it seemed too eerie for that to be the case. Her eyes closed for another moment before opening them again.

"..." Her body stiffened as her eyes were now locked with rainbow furred creature. The very same from before. It's butterfly wings fluttering to keep it hovered above the girl. While the creature wore an expression of gentleness, Lucille's face was frozen with wide-eyed terror. "Oh god....they spiked the punch. I knew someone would. I shouldn't have had any!" she whined. "I'm tripping balls....seeing mutated Care Bears..."

"Actually...I'm not a Care Bear. I'm a Ku-Sith and my name is Iris!" the creature's smiled widened as it chuckled. "I've come for you, Lucille."

"...And...you talk? Oh man, my brain is going to be swiss cheese by the time whatever was in that punch wears off...." the blonde whined.

(( OOC: Loooong post but needed to set up. Yes, Avalon's time is basically military time and it's 12 hours ahead of the EST Timezone, woo.

Alright, so it's orientation weekend at the Academy, so everyone should be arriving on campus which is huge. It's easily about 5 miles in diameter. In front of the main entrance through the gates is the main courtyard complete with a large sparkling white water fountain.

Feel free to have your characters meet each other or make up some NPC students to mingle with since this is a school setting and classmates are kind of important to have. Your characters could have probably even noticed and grew suspicious of Iris' sparkling trail left in the sky as she ventured through a portal to Earth.

Kuno, feel free to have Wanda do her thing and creep on the kiddies and festivities. ))

"...Oh my. ....She looks done in...I guess there was no need for me to have to step in after all."

Azhrarn turned to look at Celina at his side with a surprised expression on his visage. To be completely honest, Annwyn youth was trained in the art of battle way earlier than their equivalents from other worlds, it didn't seemed too strange to him that the girl wanted to join the battle. What was a little more disappointing, was that she had decided to pay no heed to his advices, especially on calling out for help. He took a deep sigh as he looked at the silver haired girl, totally ignoring the demoness' rants and ready to give her a lecture about obeying to one's prince just to notice, too late, the beams directed at him.

Then everything went blank...

"Azhrarn!"

Darkness...

The Rune Knight felt like floating in them, not a bad feeling after all, cold but he knew Darkness to be like that, cold and distant. The warmth belonged to the Light he once knew, lied to and loved. It was pleasant, but a voice was calling out for him, not hers there was no way that the Dark Prince could mistake the voice his late lover used to wake him up, or her actions in doing so. No, it wasn't Dunizhel that called his name. That he knew even before opening his eyes...

"Azhrarn, wake up..."

Yet the insistence and the silver hair he noticed at first when opening his eyes were pretty similar, something that made the usually distant expression of the prince sweeten for a slight moment at the memory of how his princess used to be insistant over waking him up. Celina's fair skin woke him from the dream though, far different than Dunizhel amber tan it was maybe the most prominent feature that made impossible to mistake the two for each other. He sighed deeply as he tried to bring himself to sit in the snow, noticing he was still wearing his Rune Knight attire, included the somewhat troubling tight leather pants.

"Good morning?" He said with a gentle and still somewhat distant smile, trying to ease her worries. "Snow..." The dark prince added, looking around before returning his eyes on Celina. "...and I a good bunch of reasons to think I'm not dead and you're an angel sent to bring me to Heaven..." It was intended to be a jesting compliment, but yeah. He didn't deserved heaven after all, not that he had even been interested in such a place. "...serves us well, me for letting myself getting distracted during a battle and you..." The dark prince took a deep sigh, looking at Celina and reverting his transformation, so that his Rune Clothes could switch with his normal ones.

"I know that lately I'm not the most popular Prince on Annwyn, but you know..." The young man said removing his cape and placing it on the girl's shoulders. "...listen to one's ruler is a good thing at times." He sighed deeply. "Why you stayed, had these beam be attack spells we'd be dead by now..." And for the Elysions' sake, I have already too much stubborn silver haired girls' blood on my hands. He didn't voiced it, but his expression darkened for a bit at the memory. "Nonetheless, I appreciated the courage..." He said bringing himself on his feet and offering the right hand to Celine so that she could do the same. "...I give you the credits for being brave, but now, in which sort of frozen hell have been ended up?"

To be fair he was at least glad for the company.

"...Ah, I knew I sniffed the Tiares' power inside you.... Seven Rune Warriors all in one spot location, this will be like shooting fish in a barrel!"

Adamah grunted, lowering his hand only slightly as it felt like she had already managed to recover from his trying to hold her down with the power of gravity. Being able to simply shrug off Faroosa's attack and easily regenerate from it didn't help any. "Urgh... You're something else..." Adamah spat bitterly, taking a cautious step back as he tried to prepare for whatever the demoness would have planned next. She was already at full capacity once more, while everyone else was wearing themselves out just trying to hold her off. Just how powerful could she really be?

"As fun as it would be to murder you all at the moment, I have a better idea. See if you can survive!"

"Tch!" he bit his lip, getting ready to attempt to dodge, but the first targets were Azhrarn and the new girl, followed by two more against Adri and Faroosa. "Instant disintegration...!? ... No, that was-" he started to say, before she turned her sights on him next. Already he could feel a bit of concern welling in the back of his mind over her next trick.

" ...And that leaves you handsome....or and the load. I almost expect to see the other four escape but you two? Not to much. Tata."

"Kh, if you're going to kill me... I rather you at least find me disgusting than handsome, you fell bi-" he attempted to scowl, before he was blasted with the strange light and removed from his current location along with Lucille. Sure enough, he was right in his thought... It wasn't a beam of disintegration but displacement. Wherever they were going, no one knew...

===

Eyes slowly opening, Adamah slowly started staring up into the dark sky, before he bolted upright and began to look around for any sign of the enemy...

Surrounding him wasn't any sort of foe or... Seemingly anything dangerous, but a rather calm and serene meadow? Stars lit up the night sky as blue-colored fireflies flitted about, giving the area a rather beautiful glow. What was the point of being thrown into an area like this? "I thought her intent was to kill us, not set a mood..." he trailed off, reaching up to palm his face softly, before he realized something. "Crap... Lucille!?" he shouted, whirling about quickly to seek out the girl who, despite being short with him and the others, still required defending due to being unconscious.

It was perhaps fortunate, that she wasn't too far from him, lying down on the ground, looking almost peaceful were it not for the fact she had been slammed into unconscious by the demon. Crouching down beside the girl, he frown for a moment as he looked her over. Thankfully, there didn't seem to be any major injuries on her, just a scrape or a bruise in one or two places.

"Lucille... Sorry I couldn't help you when I had a chance." he sighed, remaining in his crouched position, moving his arms under her to try and scoop her up once more, casting another cautious glance around. "But right now, I need you to be awake, if possible... This place, it might look beautiful, but I don't think we're alone." he muttered, taking a few cautious steps in the grass, bypassing a few of the oddly-glowing flowers. It was likely due to the fireflies buzzing about, but he couldn't help but feel put off.

"That demon was confident we wouldn't escape... Why?" he asked himself, troubled with the possibility of what could attack while he was trying to defend a still-unconscious Lucille.

Faroosa smiled as the wooden spikes impaled the woman; but it was only a moment before her eyes narrowed. How strange... the target wasn't appearing to succumb to the injuries.

"Clearly this opponent is of an extrahumanoid construction, or even with 43.5% probability a space-matter self-altering lifeform or similar approximation. I shall require tissue samples isolated as per Hossanian procedures in order to fully determine the attributes of the subject-"

"...Ah, I knew I sniffed the Tiares' power inside you.... Seven Rune Warriors all in one spot location, this will be like shooting fish in a barrel!"

Suspicions that the new girl was a Rune Mage was now confirmed, but there was no time for the purple-haired teenager to pursue that line of questioning. It seemed that the subject was gearing up for an attack.

"As fun as it would be to murder you all at the moment, I have a better idea. See if you can survive!"

Twin beams sprang forth from the woman, hitting both Celina and Azhram and causing them to vanish. Faroosa's eyes widened, but even as she raised her giant brush, she was 99.34% certain that it would be in vain. And so it proved.

---

It took a while for Faroosa to swim back to consciousness. The glare of the setting sun-

Setting sun?

The Rune Mage blinked her eyes open, and pushed herself to an upright position. Apparently she was on a sandy beach of some sort, with the sun either setting or rising in the horizon, though judging from the angle and colours it was 65.34% likely to be a setting sun. A glance to side revealed an abundance of what could only be termed tropical flora... certainly not native to any world she had been too. Faroosa frowned as she racked her memory of where she had read about plants with such descriptions.

Ah. The enemy must had transported her in some fashion to this place. Either than or she was having a very vivid dream, or hallucination. If it was the latter, however, then none of her senses or her abilities could truly be trusted... Then again, perhaps this was an extra-planar realm where thought reigned supreme and whoever had the greater mental powers would dominate and shape the world to his/her liking.

Too many unknowns. For now, the hypothesis that this was an actual, physical reality would just have to do, and any inconsistencies would have to be examined in due course.

With that thought in mind, Faroosa stood up and looked about her. In the distance, she could see another figure lying prone on the beach; it seemed to be one of the other Rune Mages. The purple-haired girl set out towards the figure. In a sea of unknowns, it would certainly not hurt to have a familiar companion, however fresh the acquaintance.

The sounds of flowing water could be heard. Adri's eyes clenched tightly as the images of the previous moments ran through her head. They were fighting that woman... It had happened so fast, but they were easily overcome. They stood no chance.

Adri's side hurt as she thought about the attack she had taken. And what of the others? She had just returned in order to join with them again after the deaths of the students, and her nearly leaving the school behind.

Now, here she was...

The only question for Adri was... Where was here?

Her gray eyes opened, and she surveyed the area. Her black hair blew gently in the breeze. The air was humid but comfortable. She was laying in sand. There was an ocean not far from view, and some very exotic-looking trees.

Adri stood up, brushing the sand from her self. She looked around the immediate area, seeing nothing of interest--other than a few birds nesting in the trees above. "Where is this place?" she asked. The setting sun before her seemed to give the entire tropical area an orange glow.

Adri had decided to find higher ground--that was her best chance of finding anyone else. She moved quickly, climbing her way through the sand and trees. Upon the top of a small apex, she had decided to stop to look over the area.

And there she could see familiarity. "Thank goodness," Adri mumbled quietly to herself, before descending the small rising, headed immediately towards the figure that had approached. She waved an arm in the air. "Faroosa!" she called, the moment she recognized the familiar person--a fellow comrade.

She reached the side of her fellow Rune Witch. "Are you hurt?" she asked. "And do you have any idea where we are?"
