Location Alvar Academy for Young Mages; Sefirah Date September 7th Time 13:00 hour
The day many juvenile mages across the realm had been waiting for finally arrived. The Alvar Academy had opened it's gates for all of it's students, both returning and new. Hugs and tears were exchanged as parents stood with their teens while they said their goodbyes before the students were escorted through the 70 ft crystal gates that surrounded the campus. It seemed that even some of the academy's own staff were moved by the precious moments exchanged between parents and their almost grown offspring. Students mingled amongst themselves making their introductions or those who have returned for their second and third years sharing the events of their summer.
"...It's so beautiful..." a young raven haired woman sniffled with her hands clasped together and her eyes shedding tears as her heart was moved. "It's like this every year...the beginning of the semester and graduation. I just....I just can't take it! Can you feel the love radiating around us, Veronica?" the woman asked whilst looking to her blonde companion. The blonde woman seemed less than amused by her friend's bleeding heart and merely closed her eyes and shook her head at the other's blubbering.
"I feel like this day needs to speed up. The orientation ceremony is always so draining...then next week is the festival....it's just going to be a long two weeks, Raina." the blonde woman opened her eyes once more as more students passed by her. Specifically a few males that seemed to earn a grunt of appreciation from her. "Though perhaps it won't be as bad as it's been playing out in my mind..."
"...They're students, Veronica." Raina's eyes narrowed. "Minors."
"I'm trying to figure out when the hell 16 and 17 year olds started getting built like that. Is there some new potion supplement that's been circling around on the drug scene?" Veronica pondered.
"I think it's called well balanced diet and exercise." Raina replied nonchalantly. "But I believe it is time for us to head to Galdr Hall. The Grand Master will be starting the ceremony soon."
"Very well. Let's get this day over with." Veronica nodded and walked the paved path from the gates towards the main entrance of the academy with Raina in tow. Meanwhile four shadowed figures stood upon the grand arches set before the school. Two human shaped, the other two no larger than puppies. A single ray of the sun's light partially revealed their appearance: two males; one sporting sparkling gold chest exposed armor, his left hand rested upon his hip. Next to him stood the other figure who was slightly taller, more red samurai-like attire, headband dancing in the wind while his arms were folded over his chest. At their feet were two small winged mammals. One rainbow colored with butterfly like wings and feathery moth-like antennae, the other possessed white shaggy fur with feathered wings and several horns protruding from it's head.
"Veronica Elwyn and Raina Oakley...two of Alvar's finest instructors...yet I cannot say I miss them." the gold clad warrior shook his head as his sight left the two teachers and looked down to his furred companions. "Falk...are they here?"
"They're close." the white furred creature responded and raised his muzzle to the air, taking in a strong whiff. "Very close. Though they're not the only ones here..." he growled lowly.
"I figured that." the young man responded with a small frown. "This day will prove to be a test for them then. But we still need to retrieve her. We will not stand a chance for what's ahead without her powers. Iris," he glanced down to the rainbow schemed creature to his left. "I will need you to make a trip to Earth."
"Not a problem. " Iris nodded. "I will not let you down, my lords." she spoke to both men before her fluttering wings picked her up from the arch and began to carry her into the distance, leaving a trail of sparkles in her wake.
"Way to be obvious, Iris." the gold clad male sighed scrubbing a hand over his face. "Until she gets back, we just play the waiting game. " his lips curled into a small smirk as his might went to thinking of a certain gloomy prince of darkness who would be making his appearance here under his instruction. "Soon, my friend your destiny will become clear."
"...You're thinking of another guy and smirking." Falk said rather bluntly as he looked up to the other male clad in red and white. "Are you okay with this?"
"...Shut up, Falk." the male in gold sweat dropped.
Location Portland, Maine Date September 7th Time 12 am
"SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!"
The crowd cheered through the pulsing music blaring through the speakers. The youth of Portland High School had gathered for their last party of the summer before the new school year. The drinks were poured and small glasses of tequila were passed out amongst the those in attendance. They were immediately knocked back and hands reached for more. The foam and bubbles poured from the machine onto the party hostess' pool deck leaving all in it's wake covered in suds. They didn't seem to care as they continued to dance, high on life....some high on other things.
"Like, Gretchen throws the most rad parties ever! This totally rocks!" said a black haired girl. Her name was Bianca Christensen, also known as the Party Rat as she was seen at every party thrown in by the student body and even some college kids despite not really knowing them. She was about 3 beers and 4 tequila shots into the night and showed no signs of stopping soon.
"Lucille! Like, get over the mopey attitude! Clean up your grump and have another drink! You've been nursing that Vodka and Cranberry for the last hour! Seriously!" she shouted to the blonde girl posted against the wall next to her with a red plastic cup in hand. Her hair was tied back into twin pigtails held in place by black and purple bands. Silver crescent moons dangled from the lobes of her ears and her attire for the evening consisted of a simple black halter top dress with a pink cardigan sweater and a pair of black heeled sandals.
"O-M-G. Okay, like so what if you came here with Austin and Gretchen totally kidnapped and took him to her room and they haven't been seen for the past 2 hours. Like, get over it. There are plenty of other guys here!" Bianca laughed.
"..." Lucille shot a side glance to Bianca. "Aside from the fact that Austin and I have been dating for the past 3 weeks? Forgive me if I'm a bit miffed!" the blonde shouted. "Stupid Gretchen and her big fancy house, candy red mercedes, fat checking account, perfect tanned skinned and sculpted body..."
"Don't forget flawless hair like silk..." Bianca added.
"Not helping!" Lucille threw her cup to the ground, spilling it's contents.
"O-M-G! What is wrong with you!? That was a good vodka and cranberry! You criminal!" Bianca screamed.
"Whatever." Lucille sighed stepping over the mess. "It's 12 am....I'm heading home. I have to....keep looking for the college I want to attend. You know, sophomore year, it's time to get cracking on that stuff."
"...You're just going to go home, lock your doors, turn down all the lights and watch Magic Mike." Bianca responded with a smirk. "Then you'll get depressed over Austin, cry and then eat whatever you have left of the tub of Oreo ice cream you have in your freezer."
"....You don't know me!" Lucille pointed to the other girl as her expression expressed hurt. Yes, it seemed Bianca knew her far too well and she did not appreciate being read like she had been. "Enjoy the party." were her final words before storming off from the pool deck...but not before grabbing a doughnut for the road from the table of party food that had been set up.
Lucille stormed through the pint sized mansion that was Gretchen Johnson's home and exited through the front door. Only half the doughnut remained as she shuffled through the front lawn. Before the final bite could be taken, the blonde found herself eating green as she tripped over a sprinkler and fell face forward into the grass.
"...damn it, even her grass is perfect!" she thought while finding it irresistible to not nuzzle her face against the softness of the lawn. After a few moments she finally rolled over onto her back and released a soft sigh as she started up into the night sky. Viewing the moon and the stars. They were so gorgeous that night and it would have been romantic to view them with Austin....if he hadn't been taken by Gretchen.
"...huh?" Lucille's eyes squinted as she could see an intense shine of bright light in the distance. Perhaps it was an airplane? Though it seemed too eerie for that to be the case. Her eyes closed for another moment before opening them again.
"..." Her body stiffened as her eyes were now locked with rainbow furred creature. The very same from before. It's butterfly wings fluttering to keep it hovered above the girl. While the creature wore an expression of gentleness, Lucille's face was frozen with wide-eyed terror. "Oh god....they spiked the punch. I knew someone would. I shouldn't have had any!" she whined. "I'm tripping balls....seeing mutated Care Bears..."
"Actually...I'm not a Care Bear. I'm a Ku-Sith and my name is Iris!" the creature's smiled widened as it chuckled. "I've come for you, Lucille."
"...And...you talk? Oh man, my brain is going to be swiss cheese by the time whatever was in that punch wears off...." the blonde whined.
(( OOC: Loooong post but needed to set up. Yes, Avalon's time is basically military time and it's 12 hours ahead of the EST Timezone, woo.
Alright, so it's orientation weekend at the Academy, so everyone should be arriving on campus which is huge. It's easily about 5 miles in diameter. In front of the main entrance through the gates is the main courtyard complete with a large sparkling white water fountain.
Feel free to have your characters meet each other or make up some NPC students to mingle with since this is a school setting and classmates are kind of important to have. Your characters could have probably even noticed and grew suspicious of Iris' sparkling trail left in the sky as she ventured through a portal to Earth.
Kuno, feel free to have Wanda do her thing and creep on the kiddies and festivities. ))

"...Are you an Avalonian hippie? You growing something else in that garden of yours?"
"I'm one of the teachers on campus. But... I may have read up on who my pupils will be. Sorry if knowing your names in advance is a little odd." she sighed and clutched her gathering of blooms, surprisingly not crushed by her nervous grip and the abundance of raindrops gathering to weigh down delicate petals. "I was coming to plant these in honor of the dead. If by hippie you mean mortuary specialist, no. Though I do grow other things in my garden." She gave a perplexed smile that soon faded entirely, her face becoming less cheerful, and more a mimicry of their environment.
"...Or are you an enemy? Iris, is she....Iris?"
Barana dropped one of the corsage's, then quickly squatted down to bring it back into the bouquet with the others, her brows draw together in an emotion she would try to mask as clearly as the clouds were blocking the sun. She stepped back, almost bumping into another girl, making her startle, lids captured over the plain and undefined black of her eyes.
"....Wish I could appear and disappear on a whim."
She had no retort, still tied up in the train of thought the earlier comment brought. Enemy?
"Excuse me. I'm sorry for interrupting but....is the memorial over? Have I come too late?""
"N-no, it's still going on inside. In fact, I should go and help out. I'll see you all later in class!" Barana forced herself to stand bravely again, to not think too hard on the word mulling in her mind. If that was the first impression she gave she needed to rethink her approach. Certainly she'd done more damage than good. Just like the advice you write, you need to be more confident! They need to see you're competent and not... well. I think you know what went wrong there. They're students, not your friends.
But I want them to trust me. Because I want to make sure they're safe...
"I was about to leave. Busy busy... need to get these where... well, where they go and such!" She smiled broadly, then remembered how solemn everyone else was and it once again drained from her features. Carefully, making sure to not trip in the newly acquired heeled boots she made her way toward the front door of the chapel, her lips a twisted mess of a smile as she nipped down on them.
In the obscurity of the rain she disappeared into the building, along with the other throngs of mourners.

"Isn't the memorial service inside?"
"Yes, so you should hurry up and go in..." Azhrarn said with his usual gelid tune toward the newcomer, the one once explained him that Cobalt was a metal and not a stone. Then another figure came out in search of them, a teacher he would guess giving her words and the fact she knew their names. Or an associate of the Ku Siths, though giving she spoke of life and not giving up the dark prince was willing to credit the woman being the former. He wondered if it would have been appropriate to answer her, asking how he could be precious to someone that had never meet before, but Lucille's words came first.
"...Are you an Avalonian hippie? You growing something else in that garden of yours? ...Or are you an enemy? Iris, is she....Iris?"
"And the duckling trying to become a swan shows her true nature once more..." Azhrarn sighed out with a distanced expression. "...she's a teacher, Avalon has many Worlds and each of them celebrate or hold importance over different things. We in Annwyn celebrate the beauty of the eternal night, the comfort of darkness and the graceful quiet of silence." He felt to explain her for once, just to make his following points clear. "Our enemy world, Gwynwyd, is more lively and joyful one would say, their music is faster with beating rythms, would find unexpected to find one where flowers and life itself are object of admiration..." He shrugged.
"Had been her an enemy, she would have attacked you given your absolute lack of any form of guard, thus removing a dumb royal from Avalon..." He stopped, still clothed in his cape, looking at Lucille with his most serious expression. "...so no, she isn't one and you made a fool of yourself." The boy shrugged, before returning his gaze on the Ku-Sith. "And no, I dont loathe your existance either..." He replied in a more serious tune, looking at Iris rather than Lucille, while his words were still for the blonde. "...to be fair I feel some sympathy for you since you've seen your whole world fall apart. It could have be a lie, but you had a home and a family, a peaceful life in your peaceful world." He stopped, sighed. "You could've be happy, the Crown isn't giving that to you, just responsibilities instead." Another pause.
"This doesn't change either that you look anything but a princess to my eyes, but it's nothing you should feel bad for." He explained. "Royalty is taught during the years, no one is born with. You may have a noble soul, but that's entirely different and sometime counter-productive at court..."
"And blessed be the Elyons, but I've been raised for battle even before knowing about the shard." Azhrarn said with a cold tune. "My own rite of passage involved killing many soldiers from Gwynwyd that tried to do the same..." He looked to the sky, letting the raindrops fall on his face for a moment. "...but at least I had been given years to prepare for that..." The dark prince once more turned to look at the Ku Sith. "...and you say that one week is enough? If you guys knew, you should have come sooner to us..." He wanted to add something more, but they got interrupted by the arrival of a new figure and the teacher excusing herself. The look he gave Lucille about her stunt was small but significative enough, even if of small duration as he turned his eyes on the newcomer.
"I'm sorry for interrupting but....is the memorial over? Have I come too late?"
"The memorial is still going on milady..." Azhrarn said with polite and melodic voice. The girl's involvement with all of this mess was nothing more than the one of a victim of the recent events. And he had a thing for silvery hair, one of the features he found most attractive in Dunizhel. "...I knew no one amongst the fallen, so I had choosen to leave more intimacy inside for the ones that would feel their loss more..." A cute way to say he didn't gave a damn, but nonetheless make it sound cool and noble. "...though I suggest you to haste if interested into assisting to the last bits, as I fear it's going to end soon..." He politely bowed his head slightly before raising it again and lock his dark-bluish eyes in her red ones. "...otherwise, if there's anything I can do to assist, just allow me to know..." Yes he was being way more gentle and charming than he had been with anyone of the group of guardians, but the girl stood a different number of levels above the Rune Witches in the cuteness and elegance department...

Faroosa barely paid attention to the headmaster's speech; it was 86.34% likely to contain no new information, after all. Instead, she was studying the book in her hands quite intently. The cover this time read "The Runes: Theory, History, Myth".
It wasn't a book that she usually read, being a bit too full of speculations for her liking; however, after the events of the past week, any and all information on Rune Mages was exceedingly welcome.
Besides, the Ku Sith had so far been exceedingly reticent on its own information.
"Well, they aren't taking it very well... I wonder if we're just monsters in our own way."
It was a moment before Faroosa realized that Tokio was speaking to her, and when she looked up, it appeared that all her companions were heading out. Well, it wouldn't do to be separated, especially given the previous week. The purple-haired girl stood up, slipping the book into her bag as she did so, and followed after.
Indeed, it seemed that all of them were here, even the one who hadn't been around for most of the week. There was a teacher with them as well, who was speaking as Faroosa arrived.
"It's wet out everyone. I know it's hard to go inside, but perhaps you could just stand under the awning? I know my nursing skills are rather rusty right now. I think that you can do your best to remember them... by holding on Lucille."
Flowers? Oh, of course. Flowers in many cultures were symbols of remembrance.
"Adamah... Faroosa, Tokio. Azhrarn, Adrienna... You're all so precious to us. All of you. But the flow of life keeps running, and it's a beautiful thing."
Faroosa took the proffered corsage with a raised eyebrow, but the teacher was continuing to speak.
"I grew these from home, I keep a garden to remind me of just how much beauty there still is in the universe. But these are special. They symbolize that connection we'll always have. The way fate brings us all together more times than we can count. I can understand you not wanting to go back inside Lucille. Or any of you. Maybe you could find somewhere and plant these instead. I think those we lost wouldn't want you staying in the past when there's so much joy to life."
Symbols. Even if they were ultimately meaningless, the placebo effects were powerful indeed, and couldn't be denied.
"Iris, is she....Iris? ...Wish I could appear and disappear on a whim."
Also, apparently she had missed the Ku Sith again. A pity.
"Excuse me. I'm sorry for interrupting but....is the memorial over? Have I come too late?"
Faroosa glanced over. It was on the tip of her tongue to reply, but the others had done so, and much as she loved to explain things, this particular explanation wasn't work expending her resources on, not when she had other things on her mind.
What Lucille had said about the teacher hadn't escaped her ears. She was by now 99.9999% certain that the attack had to had happened due to inside help. After all, she had spent much of the past week establishing this fact to her own satisfaction, via the process of elimination of other possibilities. However, she did not know enough about either the staff or the other students to move on to the next stage; and besides, it was exceedingly likely that the school was conducting its own investigations along the same lines. She would need to check that later. Meanwhile, though it paid to be suspicious, there was no rational basis that she could see that would implicate the teacher that had talked to them - or for that matter, the new girl currently talking to them.
She slipped the corsage into her bag. Hmm. Come to think of it, she was less inclined to expound on her explanations than usual. That was likely, with a 10% confidence interval, that she was less than 30% certain about the mysteries of the past week. It wasn't just the attack, after all. Why were they in particular 'chosen' to be Rune Mages? And why in particular Lucille? Was the less-than-sterling intelligence due to royal inbreeding? But then, why wasn't she raised with the rest of the royalty? Safety reasons? Crises of successions? Was it simply a matter of coincidental correlation?
One thing at a time.
---
Elsewhere, the white-haired woman smirked down on a bowed figure.
"Do you understand what I require of you?"
"Yes." The voice was soft and dull.
"Then you know better than to disappoint me. Go, and do me proud."
"Yes." The bowed figure stood up, and with a sweep of her cape, walked into the darkness. Behind her, the white-haired woman smirked.

"Hm, it's gotten rather crowded here..." Adamah noted, as he found the others slowly joining them little by little. In his mind, this would have turned out better were it just him and Lucille, but the others seemed to have taken notice of their leaving and followed. A good gesture in his mind, and there was no loss of gratitude for it in kind. However, for her mood, and on such a day, it would perhaps be just a little bit more suffocating than anyone would like. The cake, however, arrived when one of their teachers aimed to speak to them. "Ah, you are...?" he began to speak, though once she began to recite their names, he could assume her status was that as one of their teachers. In time, she held out corsages to them, upon which he and others took them.
"Oh, why thank you, miss!" Adamah spoke, looking down at the flowers. Perhaps they didn't really look as different from the flora grown on his own world, but his definitely didn't have as much symbolism as hers. More importantly, the fact they were homegrown meant she had spent quite a long time to ensure they were just right. Maybe this was a sign for him? He began to look at Lucille... Who instead managed to surprise him with the next series of words.
"...Are you an Avalonian hippie? You growing something else in that garden of yours? ...Or are you an enemy? Iris, is she....Iris? ....Wish I could appear and disappear on a whim."
"L-Lucille...?" he found himself just a little shocked now. Her words seemed to serve to shake up the woman just as much, who now found herself at a loss for words, before Adamah sighed. "Lucille, she was... Just a teacher trying to help. Why would you assume she's..." he continued, before he hung his head and shook it. Much the same, Lucille had alot on her own mind as well. Having caught her at a bad time, with everyone else crowding around her, perhaps it was natural for her to try and make some space for herself. "Nevermind, just... If you need a little bit more time to process everything, let me know? I" he asked, drawing up his legs a bit to rest his arms upon his knees beside her. Even if the others left, he had no interest in leaving until she was ready to go.
Right now, he didn't seem to pay much attention to the going-ons of others, though he acknowledged they were still occuring. Only the teacher had left the premises for now.
===
"Isn't the memorial service inside?"
"I've seen plenty of death on Eden without needing to spend time dwelling on it here." Tokio muttered offhand, folding his arms as he cast a glance at Adrienna. "It's painful for some people, especially when it's their first time. But when you get desensitized to it, you find it hard to care about it yourself unless it's a personal tragedy. If you want to go back inside, feel free. I'll probably head back in a moment." he added, finding the scene outside just a little bit too dramatic for his preferences.
Before long, the group was joined by someone else, who despite carrying herself with a bit of uncertainty, seemed to know all of their names. A teacher of some sort? They really hadn't had a chance to see them in the past week due to everything that occured. She seemed to try to give them words of motivation and encouragement, and had given them all corsages of flowers. Snapping Blackthorn open, a vine slithered out to accept the corsage, before bringing it to him. He felt an odd sense of warmth from them... Despite his mother's icy personality, they reminded him of the warmth she had hidden within her, and in turn, it seemed to make him smile for only a moment.
Of course, the smile wouldn't remain for long, and his features returned to their neutral appearance. Moreso once Lucille revealed her ignorance and bit back verbally against a person who was only trying to motivate them, leaving him to roll his eyes and annoyance. "Good going, blondie, chase off someone just trying to help... Ugh, I feel like if I stay around here any longer, i'm gonna get dragged into a soap opera." he groaned, tapping his fan against his head as he turned and glanced up at Faroosa, wondering how long she'd been there. "... Silence doesn't fit you. I'm too used to you talking my head off." he added with offhand snark, before moving past her and the silver-haired girl he had no interest in talking with.
"Why'd I think coming out here was a good idea again? Should've realized it was just going to be an emotional baggagefest." he bitterly thought, though he still held the corsage of flowers closely. Perhaps the only good thing that had come out of that exchange.

Yes." The bowed figure stood up, and with a sweep of her cape, walked into the darkness. Behind her, the white-haired woman smirked.
"Tsk, tsk, Wandaaaa~" disembodied laughter of a female's low voice filled the room. "You've already got one strike against you. Perhaps you should let someone who's actually competent handle this? I'll handle them my own way and defeat them when you could not...." the voice was very condescending towards the white haired witch. "I will destroy them all and then I shall receive all his praise... "
"..." the silver haired girl merely held her tongue as she observed the group and the conversations exchanged between them. She did nod to Azhrarn and gave a slight bow before ascending the steps, pausing before him. "Your kindness is most appreciated, your highness." she ave a close eyed smile back to him. He certainly was charming and even more handsome up close than she'd ever noticed from afar back on their home world. "Oh....forgive me. Where are my manners. My name is Celina. I've just enrolled here at the Academy. It is an honor to meet all of you. It's just sad that we have gathered under such sa-"
"WELL, excuse me, Adam!" Lucille's own voice raised, cutting off the more demure tone of Celina's. The silver haired girl merely blinked in surprise but chose not to comment on the other girl's rudeness. Meanwhile, the blonde sat up from the steps and stared at the blue haired male. "Forgive me for being a little cautious. I mean, was it not seven days ago we were fighting a giant snake lady and we had to watch innocent kids get friend like fishsticks and then you have Rainbow Eevee (referring to Iris), wherever the hell she went, talking about how we'll have more bad guys on our backs. And right after she says that, some lady walks us and gives us flowers....what if these flowers are poison? Or filled with some kind of sex pollen?"
"...What in the world..." Celina stared at Lucille completely shocked by her blunt manner of speech. "...She was just a professor here at the school. I do not believe she intends to harm anyone."
"Who are you again?" Lucille asked shooting a glare at Celina and then glaring at Azhrarn. Oh, no. That duckling swan thing did not go unnoticed and neither did the change in his attitude towards the new girl. "And I'm sick of you always berating me. AND YOU TOO, TOKOMON!" she yelled pointing a finger to Tokio's back as he began to take his leave. "You, know I get I'm not all proper like you all but you don't have to be so god damn mean all the time. Back in my world, I would have had the football team give you all swirlies by now.....except, Adam, Faroosa and Adri. They've been okay." she said, though most of Faroosa's sly comments had gone relatively unnoticed by Lucille due to the their having been spoken with a more intellectual tongue.
"Screw it, this so called duckling really is a swan and she doesn't need to sit around the nest hearing YOU assholes badger her! Screw you guys, I'm going home!" Lucille pulled the blazer from her shoulders and tossed it back to Adamah before turning on her heels to make a hasty exit., only to face a dark aura shimmering into their sighs. The aura began to take a curvaceous humanoid shape until a new figure finally appeared before the group.
"...I'm sorry....am I interrupting anything? Should I give you all a few more minutes to squabble before I kill you?" the woman grinned revealing her fanged teeth. She then looked down at Lucille before raising a hand. A bolt of dark energy was fired striking the blonde haired teen backwards, she screamed as her body rolled to the ground coming to a stop at Adri's feet. "Pathetic." the woman cackled watching the blonde girl's body twitch with the dark energy before going still. "As for the rest of you..." she smirked crossing her arms, preparing another attack. "Care to show me what you can do?"
(( OOC: Yay~ Evil lady is evil. And just blasted poor Lucille unconscious...prolly karma for her behavior. Anyway, Henshin up and try to attack her. Feel free to NPC and control the woman but be warned that you won't be able to land a hit on her just yet. ))

Adri gave a small nod in response to Lucille.
"It's painful for some people, especially when it's their first time. But when you get desensitized to it, you find it hard to care about it yourself unless it's a personal tragedy." Adri glanced at Tokio, hearing his heavy words. Adri had opted to remain outside after she heard those words.
She didn't know that the cranky kid could have such a deep view about something. It was rather interesting.
More and more people kept adding to their few numbers. It seemed everyone had a knack for gathering around this group--including a woman who knew their names. Adri had remained normally cautious of her, and perhaps even a little so after she revealed herself a teacher. Then, another had come up to them. And soon, Adri lost track of the lot of them.
She didn't seem to focus on what was said, only that they were arguing. She found herself wondering exactly why she had come back in the first place... These people were irritating--and it was giving her a bit of a headache.
The girl sighed, trying to shake the thoughts from her head. She didn't want to be the negative one here. Then again, no one seemed sane either. Lucille had snapped, before throwing the coat she wore at Adamah, and began to storm off.
She didn't get very far.
Adrienne immediately felt defensive as she had seen the aura appear before Lucille, cutting her off. It happened so quickly, and before anyone had a chance to react, Lucille had been tossed to the ground. Adri reacted as quickly as she could.
She wasn't sure how she knew exactly how she was doing it--but she was surrounded in a silvery glow, and her transformation begun. Her arms crossed as the light seemed to absorb her body, before a sheet of metal surrounded her. Her armor began to surround her, much as it did before, with black, fitted clothing beneath it to cover her form. "Metal is mine to control, and with it, I will crush you. I am Rune-Cobalt!"
Adri emerged from the light, swiftly, standing upright. She hoped the others were right in tow. She wasted no time, and she shot forward. The Elynis Construct formed in her hand. "Construct Shift: Sword!" she called, before the orb took the shape of a sleek, silvery blade. Adri immediately swung the blade downward.
The mysterious woman rose her hand with a coy smirk. There was a flash--and the woman's arm piece had easily blocked Adri's swing. "W-What?" Adri snapped, surprised and horrified at the incredibly fast response the woman had. Adri tried to break through the woman's defense, but it did nothing.
In the blink of an eye, the woman drew her hand back. "Too slow~" she taunted, before her hand burst with dark lightning energy. She shot her nails forward. A stream of dark energy followed, and struck against Adri.
With a yell, the black-haired girl went flying back into the rain-covered ground, skidding several yards. Adri coughed, trying to regain herself--there was a harsh pain in her stomach. This woman was powerful... Whoever she was.

"Your kindness is most appreciated, your highness."
To these words Azhrarn arched an eyebrow, for her to use the honorific meant that the girl knew who he was, and yet had choose to approach him. It was slightly unexpected given how badly the news of his involvement with a Gwynwyd princess had been received on Annwyn, Gwynwyd and every other world of Avalon in general due to some, not really too far from reality, rumors. Yet he managed to mantain his composture, nodding in a gentle and regal way to the girl, the way that he used at court balls and mundane events, the way that made evident his royal upbring. The girl started to speak again as the young prince wondered if she was from Annwyn like him, something more than plausible due to how she addressed to him, but still...
"Oh....forgive me. Where are my manners. My name is Celina. I've just enrolled here at the Academy. It is an honor to meet all of you. It's just sad that we have gathered under such sa-"
"WELL, excuse me, Adam!"
"Forgive me for being a little cautious. I mean, was it not seven days ago we were fighting a giant snake lady and we had to watch innocent kids get friend like fishsticks and then you have Rainbow Eevee, wherever the hell she went, talking about how we'll have more bad guys on our backs. And right after she says that, some lady walks us and gives us flowers....what if these flowers are poison? Or filled with some kind of sex pollen?"
"Squawk..." Azhrarn simply muttered in response to her rant, before the sudden realization of how the things were. It was with a deeply serious expression that he looked straight into Adamah's eyes, shook his head gravely and sighed deeply. "You, my friend, have the most ardous of the tasks..." Ultimately persuaded that the sex pollen was some sort of slip from the girl's mind about the desire of having her maidenhood claimed, he couldn't help to feel some sympathy for the poor guy he felt she had picked for the task. Granted, Nature had been generous with Lucille's forms but the girl seemed a little to leaning toward the hysterical riverbank of life. He could sorta understand how she was still a little shocked but still...
"...What in the world... ...She was just a professor here at the school. I do not believe she intends to harm anyone."
"Forgive her, Milady Celine..." Azhrarn said with proper etiquette and gentle tune, somewhat used already to such bursts. "...she comes from a world that hadn't been blessed by the gifts of Magic, I suppose that would explain why she is on the verge of a crisis of nerves, if not bursting into a full one right now..." He said moving next to the silver haired girl and giving her a good look, partly because it was a safe bet to assume she could be an assassin sent to eliminate him, partly because if not, she was a cute and pleasant sight.
"Who are you again? And I'm sick of you always berating me. AND YOU TOO, TOKOMON! You, know I get I'm not all proper like you all but you don't have to be so god damn mean all the time. Back in my world, I would have had the football team give you all swirlies by now.....except, Adam, Faroosa and Adri. They've been okay."
Completely the opposite of the show Lucille was putting up. "It's that Football Team some sort of elite force of your world?" He questioned between the amazed and the depressed. To send special forces after classmates being mean was something a little too much for a Princess to be. "You know, that's abusing of your powers and sending them to a painful death to satisfy your childish pride..." Yes, especially now that he had Runic powers there was little he feared from regular soldiers. "Really a mature thing to do..." The dark prince turned his fully attention back to Celine. "I think we should take our leave as the duckling has picked the members of her flock..."
Then it happened...
"...I'm sorry....am I interrupting anything? Should I give you all a few more minutes to squabble before I kill you?"
"By any means, would you be so kind to return once the memorial is done and talk with the Campus' staff first?" Azhrarn's tune was cold as the winter as he addressed to the newcomer, being scared wasn't something he was familiar with since he had almost lost his life and forever lost his loved one.
"Pathetic."
"Tell us anything new?" His voice again was sarcastic and icy. "Compliments for the outfit though, never seen a wench displaying soo much elegance..." Prolly it was the high hells, but eh, couldn't help to find the one that wanted to kill them look like someone that would sell her body for a cheap price.
"Care to show me what you can do?"
"Not really as I'm not here to amuse you..." Azhrarn said with a cold tune despite nonetheless turning to Celine and giving her his gentlest looking smile. She was one of his subjects after all and it was his responsibility as royalty to avoid any harm to come on her. And if she wasn't an assassin it would have be a real pity to waste such a nice body. "...I'm sorry Milady Celine, would you kindly haste to a safe location?" The Dark Prince said once more with his charming voice, if the woman was going to be showy, he was going to be as well then. "Maybe inside, where the memorial is being held? You could warn them as well of the danger..." He stopped and looked at her hair, placing the golden flower he got from the teacher between them, above her right ear. "And here, I figure it would be a waste for it to be ruined in the fight, so would you mind taking care of it for me?" He added with charming smile. "I think gold suits you better than me anyway..."
That said he turned and took a step away from Celine, living Darkness gathering around him as he was suddenly enclosed in a sphere of pure shadows. Painfully contorted faces appeared on the sphere surface before it unfolded like a blooming black rose, turning into the cape of living darkness that adorned Azhrarn's Rune Knight appearance, the Dark Sword into his hands, hungry for his enemies' blood. "I still believe these pants looks a little too tight..." He commented casually...

"WELL, excuse me, Adam! Forgive me for being a little cautious.
Now, perhaps more than when Lucille had accidentally flung her verbal daggers at the teacher, did he find himself actually surprised by her outburst. "It's good to be cautious, and I know you've been under alot of pressure, but not everyone else has had any easier a time of coping with this. While her timing in presenting that revelation was a bit iffy, it's still something we need to face sooner or later." Adamah muttered, looking down a bit. He really couldn't bring himself to say anything in more stern a voice to her, not when she was already a hurricane of emotion n-
Wait... Sex pollen? What in the heavens? "Why would she assume such a thing exists? More importantly, why does she believe a teacher would just... Wait..." he then spared a glance at Lucille, before flushing red and sighing. "N-now you're overthinking things, Eridanus! Cut that out, it isn't you! So what if she is a perfectly good female with an exceptional chest? ... Why are you still thinking about that!? Your friend is having an emotional moment and you're praising her chest? What kind of man are you!? Wait, stop... This all began because of one thought. Just believe no such thing exists, and we can get your thoughts back to normal. One... Two... Three..."
With a light sigh, he shook his head and rested his chin on a raised knee. "I just think you're overreacting a little bit there, Lucille. No one really has any right or reason to want to poison us... Though I think if this continues for much longer, we'll probably be the center of negative attention from the rest of the academy." he added. Unfortunately for him, the comments of the others only proved to provoke worse comments from her, leading to no sign of recovery, but more destruction.
"You, know I get I'm not all proper like you all but you don't have to be so god damn mean all the time. Back in my world, I would have had the football team give you all swirlies by now.....except Adam, Faroosa and Adri. They've been okay."
"I've... No idea what a 'football team' or a 'swirlie' is, but... Thank you, I think?" he spoke, unsure of how to properly respond to such a statement. A more proper response would have to wait for once he researched these terms.
"Screw it, this so called duckling really is a swan and she doesn't need to sit around the nest hearing YOU assholes badger her! Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
"Wait, Lucille, simply ignore them, it isn't worth getting angry over their... Lucille, wait!" Adamah pleaded, pushing himself to get up from the floor and turn, only for his blazer to land atop his head, causing him to stop for a moment. He drew the cloth off his head and proceeded to put it back on, sighing. "Damn it... Can nothing go right today?" he grumbled, folding his arms. He'd never had to deal with such female problems back on his homeworld... His problem wasn't so much her behavior, it was his lack of knowledge that truly troubled him. With no idea how to placate her mood, she could perhaps only escalate from where she was, and given how she was returning to the school with a foul temper, it was only a matter of time before someone else set her off.
... or so he thought, until the black void opened up behind the girl, causing his eyes to widen. "Lucille!" he shouted moving forward to try and pull her away, but the foul being had already rendered her unconscious with a blast of her magic. If there was one emotion Adamah could definitely understand, it was anger. Narrowing his eyes, he held out his arms, purple energy surrounding them while orange energy encircled his feet. In moments, the Gaea Pressure had appeared for him, before he punched his fists together, concocting a field of controlled gravity within to hide himself as his clothes began to disintegrate, swirling around him for a bit before reattaching to his form to create his outfit. The field begins to shrink, before it suddenly burst outward, pointing at the opposing woman that appeared before them.
"By the power of the Earth, and the forces that embraces us, I will end you. Know my name, Rune-Quasar!" he bellowed, before clenching his fist and preparing to attack. To his side, Adri was the first to engage, while the other man... Did nothing. It was true of him as well, waiting to observe and see what their foe was capable of. So far, her initial attack had done almost nothing to the enemy, but had given them an idea of how quick and reactive she was, before Adri was thrown back. He held his hand up, trying to control the gravitational forces to lessen her impact against the floor, before facing forward.
"You're next... But you have a different priority. A foe who's openly claimed to want to kill us all, and Lucille is unconsciousr. If she wanted to, she could kill her easily, but her attention is on us... I can't take the chance that she'll stay focused on us." he calculated mentally, before he moved to the side to kneel down and pick up Lucille's form. "Where is that familiar? Argh... I need to get her to the infirmary." he muttered, before rising up. His moments wouldn't go for long without attracting attention, so he needed to buy time. Holding a hand out to the buxom demoness or whatever she was, he concentrated. "Step Restrict!"
Not a direct attack, but he wasn't sure if she would have a measure to avoid it nonetheless. In moments, she could feel weight, a pressure upon her, as if trying to hold her down and keep her from moving. However, there was no way he could force her to the ground without putting more energy into it, and he could still feel... As he struggled to hold her down, her power was greater than he anticipated, and she could resist. "I'm trying to slow her down, but... She's alot stronger than she lets on. Make the most of it, I need to find a way to get Lucille some help."

"Tsk, tsk, Wandaaaa~ You've already got one strike against you. Perhaps you should let someone who's actually competent handle this? I'll handle them my own way and defeat them when you could not.... I will destroy them all and then I shall receive all his praise... "
The white-haired woman scowled at the taunt, then she snorted. "Pawns are easily sacrificed to great advantage. I wouldn't expect the likes of you to understand." She watched as the other woman left, then snorted once more.
"Fool. My plans are greater than your mewling groveling. And those who fail to fit are naught but junk."
With a sweep of her robes, the woman left the chambers.
---
"...Silence doesn't fit you. I'm too used to you talking my head off."
Faroosa's train of thoughts was interrupted, and she glanced at Tokio. Then she shrugged and smiled.
"This particular time-space interval is a suboptimal situation, and there are currently a multitude of thoughts that are occupying my capacity for intellectual investigation. For example-"
"AND YOU TOO, TOKOMON! You, know I get I'm not all proper like you all but you don't have to be so god damn mean all the time. Back in my world, I would have had the football team give you all swirlies by now.....except, Adam, Faroosa and Adri. They've been okay."
The purple-haired girl tilted her head slightly as she glanced towards Lucille. "I must commence in-dept study of Terran vulgar slang, least I fail a 100% comprehension of future conversation. May I assume-"
"Screw it, this so called duckling really is a swan and she doesn't need to sit around the nest hearing YOU assholes badger her! Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
"-that your mental state is in a high state of distress," Faroosa continued without skipping a beat. That was when she saw the dark aura shimmering into her sights, and her eyes narrowed.
"...I'm sorry....am I interrupting anything? Should I give you all a few more minutes to squabble before I kill you?"
In the next moment, the hostile lady had blasted Lucille to unconsciousness, and turned to confront the rest of them.
Faroosa smiled.
And whipped out a piece of paper, initiating her transformation sequence. In a shower of shredded paper, her giant Brush and Rune Witch attire manifested on her person, and she then swept the Brush to a side.
"Knowledge is Power, and Power is Knowledge. The Brilliant Rune-Papyrus has arrived!"
Her compatriots had already launched a few attacks, though they were proving ineffectual. Evidently the woman before them had a measure of power; just as evidently, any single attack wasn't about to defeat her. Hmm. The blue-haired boy was using his powers. Gravity?
"I'm trying to slow her down, but... She's a lot stronger than she lets on. Make the most of it, I need to find a way to get Lucille some help."
"Your assistance in this experiment is 100% appreciated." The teenager's smile widened as she spun her weapon, before planting it onto the ground. "Palisade!" she cried, and wooden spikes sprang out all around the woman, aiming to impale her while she was still being slowed down.

"Hm...these pests are a lot more resilient than I anticipated..." the woman monologued to herself as she felt the power of the Earth mage's spell increase her weight slightly. It was then the last mage to transform to hit her with a spell that would leave the woman in her tracks. A series of wooden spikes had begun blooming from the ground with intent on skewering her in place. Barely able to dodge them, the woman did not go without finding herself impaled through the shoulder and through her lower abdomen, trapping her on the spikes. Her eyes had widened as her blood, colored black, had begun to seep from her mouth.
"...Oh my." Celina said having watched the whole ordeal instead of heeding her prince's instructions to relocate to a safe place. Instead she walked up Azhrarn, standing side by side to him as she continued to watch the demoness that had attacked. "....She looks done in...I guess there was no need for me to have to step in after all."
"...Ah, I knew I sniffed the Tiares' power inside you...." the woman replied, staring at Celina with a slasher-smile, seemingly having not succumbed to what would have been mortal injury from the wooden spikes. "Seven Rune Warriors all in one spot location, this will be like shooting fish in a barrel!" Her hands reached down to grab the spikes impaling her and with her strength, she snapped the wood in half and pulled them from her body, with her wounds sealing instantaneously.
"As fun as it would be to murder you all at the moment, I have a better idea" she smirked throwing the wood spikes to the rain soaked ground. Her hand reached to dark indigo jewels attached to the hips of her armor and held one in the palm of her hand. "See if you can survive!" she smirked thrusting her hand forward. Twin beams shot forward, striking both Celina and Azhrarn, causing the two to vanish . Two more beams struck Adri & Faroosa, their figures vanishing with the light.
" ...And that leaves you handsome....or and the load." the woman smirked as she prepared to fire the gem. "I almost expect to see the other four escape but you two? Not to much. Tata." she grinned shooting both Adamah and Lucille with the beams. Once she had transported the last two, the woman quickly took her leave, swirling away in a midst of dark energy...
"Mhmrn...." Celina's muffled grumble as she began to stir. She was at a loss of what had happened but she was at least somewhat relieved to be alive. Her fingers curled into the snow.....wait.
Snow?
Feeling the slush in her hands, Celina immediately jumped into an upright knelt position to discover that she was definitely not at the Academy anymore. Instead, a snowscape was laid out before her. The wind's sent a chill down her spine as her current style of dress was not suited for the harsh winter, mountainous climate that laid out before her. Though if she were to access her powers...
Speaking of powers, where the heck were the others?
She looked around, with no sign of the rune mages, well, until she spotted a body lightly dusted by the snow laying only a few yards away from her. She squinted to better view of the body and realized who it was.
Although she'd only just seen them minutes ago, the images of those tight pants would sadly never fade from her memory. "Azhrarn!" She called, trudging through the snow over to the prince and falling back to her knees at his side. Her delicate hands moved to his chest and a breathy sigh of relief escaped her lips when she felt his heart still beating. "Azhrarn, wake up..." she spoke nudging his body gently.
[[OOC: Okay so just to explain what happened, we've been paired off into dimensional rifts. Azhrarn & Celina in the Mountainous Snow Zone. Adri & Farooosa in a tropical beach setting, and Lucille & Adamah in a meadow, plains area. Basically, these images for a general image of your surroundings: Snow Sunset Beach Nocturnal Meadow The only instructions I will leave for now is to wake up and find your partner in your areas. Feel free to let your imaginations run wild about what kind of creatures and scenery you may see along the way. I'll give more guidance my next update, ]]
