==BOONS==

CHAOS

Eye of the Storm (Chaos *)

Dice Pool: None
Cost: 1 legend per scene

When the Scion finds herself caught up in a chaotic situation unrelated to her—whether she’s dodging a tornado’s debris or emerging from a bar to find a berserk mob rushing toward her to clash with a line of riot cops down the street—she can activate this Boon and become an island of calm in the tumult. She is miraculously untouched in the confusion, and she remains so for as long as she doesn’t actively involve herself. She still suffers normal environmental movement penalties, but environmental dangers such as falling rocks, stampeding beasts or thrashing rioters all fail to touch her.

DEATH

Death Senses (Death *)

Dice Pool: None
Cost: None

The Scion can see ghosts even when those ghosts don’t choose to manifest. To her, ghosts are livid, physical presences, sensible to feeling as to sight (as well as smell and hearing). She still can’t harm the fragile ectoplasmic shell of a ghost who hasn’t manifested, however. The sense of touch this Boon grants is illusory. If the Scion tries to exert enough pressure to cause damage or restrain the ghost, her hand passes through it. The Scion can also look at a dead body and know what killed it, if that cause isn’t already obvious. The answer she gets is somewhat generic (the reading would tell her a person had been poisoned, for instance, but not by what poison), but it’s conclusive despite the presence of falsified or misleading evidence. Generic causes of death include suffocation, drowning, poison, burns, internal trauma, bleeding, hunger, thirst, exposure, illness, heart attack and old age.

==KNACKS==

Strength

Making It Look Easy
When a character performs a feat of strength, doing so takes every bit of effort. With this knack, the scion can perform the feat with little to no effort. He can lift the heaviest of weights with one hand and cover a yawn with the other.

Dexterity

Trick Shooter
This knack double the bonus received from an aim action. The scion ignores the difficulty penalties for making a ranged disarm attack or marking the opponent without causing damage. The scion must take an aim action to be able to ignore these penalties.

And The Crowd Goes Wild
Any dice the character has in athletics are considered to be automatic successes when the player rolls a dice pool that includes athletics. Bonus dice granted by Arete are also counted as successes automatically if the player spends 1 legend. Values that are used by athletics (dodge DV and feats of strength) are not affected by this knack nor are any boon activation rolls that might call for athletics.

Stamina

Self-Healing
For the cost of 1 legend per level, the scion can heal bashing and lethal damage without leaving a scar. Aggravated damage is beyond the power of this knack.

Charisma

Manipulation

Appearance

Perception

Broad-Spectrum Reception
For the cost of 1 legend, the scion can perceive radio and television waves, but can’t translate them into discrete picture and sound. They can see in different waves of the visual spectrum (ultraviolet and infrared).They can see magnetic fields and hear electricity humming through insulated wires. In order to use this power, the scion must actively be searching for these sensations.

Rarefied Electromagnetic Perception – Prerequisite: Broad-Spectrum Reception
With this knack, the scion can now feel radio waves and see in other spectrums without trying. With the cost of one legend, the scion can refine these perceptions. They can now watch and hear television signals as if they were watching a tv or more if they have parallel attention.

Intelligence

Language Mastery
Once they have listened to a few sentences, the scion can now speak that language as if they grew up among native speakers. Writing a language can be a bit trickier, as they can only transliterate their words in the alphabet of their native language until someone can teach them the alphabet and punctuation of the new language. Reading a new language can be difficult if that language uses characters that don’t appear in a familiar alphabet.

Wits

Monkey In The Middle
The scion no longer suffers coordinated attack or onslaught penalties when in combat with multiple opponents.
