I bought it too
and my copy came today
and I think it will be
most fascinating reading

O that Alice B
(replacing all the "mays" with cans
perhaps because of GS's earlier lover, May B.,
about whom she didn't tell Alice. . . )!

Was dipping into the Vintage "Selected Writings" book, which finally arrived yesterday... the book is headed by two super-enthused introductions which have convinced me to read Alice B Toklas immediately (of which this volume contains in its entirety).

today, a mind.numbingly stupid review of this book and another intriguing reissue. Who on earth thought this person should review the breathtaking wonderfulness that are stanzas in meditation? fucker.

Here is the other book under review, which I can barely stop myself from ordering

A little gloss on Stanzas in Meditation and the bizarre history of Alice editing it, but it's been restored now: http://bigother.com/2012/02/16/gertrude-stein-strikes-again/
