hey. great idea.

What's the great idea? Having a theatre thread, hating biscuit, having a cup of tea, or ogling Ciaran Hinds?

I'm seeing the musical Jekyll and Hyde tonight, performed my very own university theatre students.

A month or two ago I saw them do The Arabian Nights by Mary Zimmerman and I LOVED it, so I hope Jekyll and Hyde is good, too (it's certainly hyped enough, selling out left and right, etc.)

"THEE-AH-TAH"

pronounce it that way, and adjust your monocle while doing so.
ladies, adjusting your pearls and rubies will suffice.

depends whether he's wearing pearls or rubies maybe? *grin*

i just thought..since we talk about opera and cinema that could hardly be described as "box office" and sculpture etc etc, let's have some theatre..no rubies monocles or silly accents but people - standing - bewitched, has more in common with my theatre going. It isn't at least need not be elitist

no a theatre thread is awesome. I'm too poor for theatre these days, though. Bah.

But when I'm rich, living in lalalaland, I'll go to the theatre each week! :P
