Fleetwood will be without striker Richard Brodie for the FA Cup third-round tie against local rivals Blackpool at Highbury Stadium.

Brodie, who is on loan from Crawley, scored two goals and was then sent off in the first half of the 6-0 Blue Square Bet Premier victory at Southport at the weekend so is suspended.

Midfielder Jamie McGuire was banned for that game following his red card in the previous match - a 2-2 draw with same opposition on Boxing Day - but is now available again.

Manager Micky Mellon has no fresh injury concerns in his squad, although he cannot call upon midfielders Danny Rose or Ryan Crowther as they re cup-tied.

Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks will remain on the sidelines for Ian Holloway's men.

A groin problem ruled Gilks out of the Seasiders' festive fixtures, with Mark Howard deputising in the previous three matches, and the 25-year-old former Aberdeen keeper is set to continue.

Captain Barry Ferguson will serve the second game of a three-match ban for a straight red card in the New Year's Eve defeat at Birmingham.

Boss Holloway has no new injury worries following Monday's impressive 3-0 triumph over Middlesbrough, but is expected to make changes, with experienced forward duo Kevin Phillips and Gary Taylor-Fletcher in line for recalls.

On-loan Liverpool defender Danny Wilson will make his Blackpool debut if selected.

Keith Southern remains out, the midfielder having undergone surgery to remove a testicular tumour.
