Next month the new primetime season will begin. Are there any new shows you plan to check out? What shows from last season are you looking forward to seeing return?

cant really say as I am guessing nz programming will be different from usa programming. however, I am really sad that true blood has finished for good.
I am hoping that they come up with a new series of American horror story. - loved all three of those series although the original was definitely the best.

tell me, is the usa programming as satuated with reality tv and cooking competitions like nz?

YES!! And I loathe reality TV. I really really hate it. I'd rather them do one channel that plays all the crap and let all the other play normal shows. We do have a couple of cooking networks so most of the cooking shows are on there.

I never could get in to True Blood. My old boss loved it and loaned me her DVDs for seasons 1 and 2. It didn't resonate with me for some reason. My son watches American Horror Story. Do you guys gets that in NZ?

yeah True Blood was definitely for an acquired taste. I actually preferred the books (the sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris) they weren't so full on but really got you involved in the story. the tv show really deviated from the books after the first season.

yeah we got the American horror stories over here, I don't think they really picked up here so I was quite surprised that we got all three sessions.

my hubby is addicted to shows like Idol, X Factor and the Voice. I am really over them...

I've never been a fan of reality TV. I think it's because I respect actors so much and those shows put good actors out of work. I really do wish there was one channel for all of them...Survivor, Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, etc. I will admit that the first season of Australia's Voice competition, I watched a few episodes (illegally downloaded them is closer to the truth. LOL). Hey, Keith Urban was one of the judges and I ADORE him!! (Plus Karise Eden, the girl who won, had a phenomenal voice!!) But even he can't make me watch American Idol. I wanna smack Ryan Seacrest everytime I see his face!! killingme

I've always been drawn to either True Crime or Crime Drama. I watch almost no comedies. For the past 2 years I've been obsessed with the show Arrow. It's based on the Green Arrow superhero from DC Comics. Season 3 is coming up in October so I'm most looking forward to that. They're also making a show called The Flash, which the character was introduced on Arrow last season, and he's also based in the DC Comic world. I watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Marvel comics for a change!!), Criminal Minds, Covert Affairs, Blacklist, Justified, Elementary and most of the time I catch parts of NCIS because my hubby is a huge fan. I used to be a huge fan of Castle and Bones but both are so ridiculous now I barely watch. (I can't completely stop on Castle since I've watched everything Nathan Fillion has ever done since his first job on the American soap opera One Life to Live). I end most nights have one show, sometimes two that I watch.

Season 4 of Revenge starts Sunday 9/28

You know I said above that I love the show Arrow? Well, the star of the show has this amazing Facebook page that he runs himself. He posted this today

Hey WWE: How do I host Monday Night Raw? I'll wrestle and everything.

‪#‎AmellGetsRaw‬

Oh my freakin GOD! If they have him on to host I would absolutely die from excitement. He's said before that he's a huge WWE fan and even attended Wrestlemania 6. Anyway, thought I'd throw that out there.

And this is why I watch the show in case anyone was wondering...
