so just finished watching Easy A. love that movie, however there were a few references to classic John hughes movies like the breakfast club, 16 candles and so-on. got me really keen to go and rent out the breakfast club hahaha. made me thing of all the great movies I remember from when I was growing up... the movie that made me the most saddest would be 'watership down' still can't watch that without getting teary eyed when the rabbit gets shot. then there is 'IT' by Stephen king, the book never got me but dang that movie scared the crap out of me. my absolute favourite movies though growing up were the 'nightmare on elm street' movies. what about you guys? what were your favorites? |

I'm an old movie buff so most of the stuff I like is pre-1960. I'm a huge Cary Grant fan so I love An Affair to Remember, To Catch a Thief, Notorious, and Bringing Up Baby. I'm also a huge fan of the old Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals.....Oklahoma, State Fair, Carousel. For more modern day moves, I love A Walk to Remember, Thor: The Dark World (and pretty much every other Avenger movie!!), The Lucky One, Chasing Liberty, and I loved Hairspray from a few years back. Favorite move of all time would probably be Gone With the Wind. I am, after all, a Georgia born girl. Although I'm nothing like Scarlett!! |

I have never actually seen gone with the wind but have always wanted to see it. my problem is, when I go to choose a movie to watch I am always drawn the either the latest movies or the modern day ones and it is after I have left the store that I remember all the old movies I actually want to see. LOL it took me YEARS to see my fair lady and even then it was only because I was at my parents house and my dad had brought the dvd. |
