Since tomorrow is Christmas, I thought I'd ask if any of ya'll have favorite movies or Christmas specials that you love.

My kids, especially my oldest son, have always loved How the Grinch Stole Christmas. NOT the movie version, the 30 minutes cartoon from the 1960s. In fact we can quote almost the entire thing by heart, which is why my husband hates watching it with us. Drives him crazy!!

In addition to that, I love It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas. Holiday Inn ranks up there as well. As far as newer movies, nothing beats the first two Home Alone movies. ("Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal!!")

What about ya'll? Are there Christmas specials that are exclusive to your parts of the world?

my favourite when I was a kid was always A Charlie Brown Christmas. I haven't actually seen it for years now. might have to do some research and see if I can find it. lol

nowadays, I would say my favs would be Home Alone (the first one), the santa clause (all 3) and Christmas with the cranks.

there is a bit of a tradition here in NZ where every year without fail, our TV stations play Sound of music at 12 noon on Christmas day... my mother in law always puts it on and tries to make us all sit down and watch it. LOL this year I escaped that torture on account of them moving down country and us not going to see them until next week LOL

I like The Sound of Music alright. Two stations here in the US play A Christmas Story for 24 hours straight...8pm Christmas Eve to 8pm Christmas night. And I have never been able to sit thru that movie once. killingme
