Well, I've decided to make a thread where I will answer serious questions relating to health, science, technology, politics (definitions, etc), and more. I may not get to every question on the first day if there are a lot. So post away =p

Disclaimer: I am NOT a licensed practitioner and this thread is meant for only basic advice and could quite easily be inaccurate. See your doctor for any serious health concerns.

On masturbation:
To eliminate a lot of questions:
Male and female masturbation is perfectly normal. People usually start in their late pre-teens to early teens. Some begin late, others early. Masturbation cannot lead to any changes in your overall health or puberty (breast/genital growth, periods, etc). The frequency of masturbating varies on the person. Some do it a couple times a week, others, several times a day. Too much will cause the area to be sore, but should not cause any lasting damage.
If you experience bleeding or anything out of the ordinary, see a doctor immediately.
I will still take >serious< questions about this subject which were not answered in the above paragraph. If you'd like me to clarify on a point, please ask.

Hello Dr Topide!

I guess you could say I am putting on a little RuneScape weight and I am used to always used to being skinny but since January I have jumped from 119 pounds to 130 pounds. How would YOU recommend getting it off?

Hello Danny. You say you've put on eleven pounds in ten months. Depending on your age, you are probably not overweight, if anything, you were a little bit low. However, if you still wish to lose what you've gained, I recommend walking one to three miles every evening. This should be possible no matter where you live. For a regular day, just walk around your block/neighborhood/subdivision. If you're feeling adventurous, walk to a store and back if possible. Measure the distance (or get your parents to in a car) of your route and walk accordingly. Remember to stay away from areas which have a bad or "dangerous" reputation; especially at night. Have fun losing it =p

Do you know any exercises that'll work out the upper and/or lower abs?

I forgot what it's called but:


Suck in your abs and stay breathing, get in a push up form and stay there for around 30 seconds, to make it harder you can try being in the push-up form with 1 leg while doing this or turn over to one side and lift your arm up in the air. You can't touch the ground in any of this


This is the best way to tighten your abs.


You might want to do it for a few seconds each time and work your way up, because it'll probably be hard if you've never done it.


And you need to keep breathing deeply or this exercise does nothing to you.

You'll know you're doing it right if you're entire body is shaking, l0l

I can't tell if you're fuckin' 'round or you're serious, but I've never heard of a method like that.

I'm being serious, actually sit ups and crunches aren't that great if you want good abs because it doesn't work on every muscle, that method I just said does.
