Deal with it.

one word , Motivation, motivated to be the best and try their very hardest, new members lack that because they haven't been around and it takes awhile for that mindset to develop but I think if you want to be the best and you try your hardest you will succeed no matter what.

Always wanting to go to a mini/prep/tank test/event that's what our core members have developed and what we need our new members to pick up on.. fast. How? Motivate them, show them what you do, show them videos etc.. find someway to make it click in their heads [I know new members all seem like retards but they can be taught.. If persistent they can be taught quickly] just motivate motivate motivate.

Me? I'll try to hybrid dm newer members tell them what I know try to get them interested, after that they will easily pick up the want to be included..
If you get competitive you will drive yourself and won't need any motivation but we need to make our newer members competitive asap, so MOTIVATE!!!!!!!!!! lol

well that's my opinion and what I'll do, as a whole clan you need to spend your personal time as a member of tlp to show the tiny guys how shit is done.

i vote 2v2 or 3v3 tourny

but

if your a legend like frazee1 in clw or something you gotta pair with a new guy. we wont be teaching them shit if they are paired together getting their asses handed to them by our HQ membs.

Idk kits' mentor system but I think that a dedicated member that is willingly wanting to be a mentor helped a newer member via pms/irc/rs in multiple acts. The mentor will aid the mentee for 1-3 weeks then the mentee can drop the mentor if thy feel as if they are ready then they are tested with their previous experiences

2v2s will never ever work out fairly EVER and all that would happen is new ppl get cut out asap or don't participate because they aren't interested

Everyones been saying this, but definitely more inners. How about once a week, or once a month would even be better then how it is now. Just getting some scheduled inners in would really help. Maybe offer an aussie style pk trip after the inners, only to the people who went to the inners.

What happend to the mandatory tank tests? Let's try fitting those in again. Also, people have mentioned this already, but mandatory tank tests for people applying for Proud Member.

if you're talking about the mentor system we tried with kits, it didnt work the first time and i dont think it'll work this time either. as much as i like the idea.

i think the whole problem was that it was a big 'official' thing in members chat, people were automatically assigned with members and shit, and nobody really gave too much of a shit and everything...

IMO, this mentor thing could work wonders if we planned this out behind the scenes, and carried it out behind the scenes... if you get what i'm saying. i'll give an example of how it'd work:

instead of posting everyone's 'official' mentor and all that in members chat, just make a list here of people that need help, we decide who takes who, IN SENIOR +, and whoever you get, you start talking to more often, get to know em, and introduce em and train em that way, more like a buddy-buddy thing, instead of a big official mentor chart where nobody knows each other and shit. just takes a bit of effort to get to know the guy first, but once you do it betters everyone, and you can show em the tricks of the trade that way.

i think the whole reason why it didnt work last time is because when members see that they have a superior and shit in a game that they've probably been playing just as long as you, it seems too much like a 'boss', makes em feel like shit, like they suck. cuz lets face it, everyone has an ego, that's my opinion on why i think it didnt work the first time... if you introduce it to em in a more friendly manner like i wrote above i think it could work out great, more personalized too and they get to know the staff better, hopefully make a friend or two also.

also, i cant stress enough... 2v2 tournaments. could also somewhat implement a 'mentor-like' system into those tourny's too if ya wanna go that route, pair up every member with an exp+ and keep the teams balanced when making them. this way you can practice with em and shit before the tourny and everything.

i know this takes the fun out of choosing your own partner, but im just suggesting another way you can use this whole 'mentor' thing.

but overall no matter how you do it, 2v2 tourny's are always a blast and gives em something to shoot for, to get better.

Birdy how will a 2v2 effectively improve new members skills, don't you think a mini where there would be less focus on them as an individual would be better? I think minis are easier to win than 2v2s imo.

you gotta look at the bigger picture bro. the setup of it first of all... it's a tournament, gives everyone motivation and something to shoot for. and you're set up with a friend or a rank, either or, depends on how you guys wanna set it up. the whole competition and the fun behind it, gives everyone a great chance to learn a few things, and because there's less people, you can concentrate on what they're doing alot more and give them better and more accurate pointers on what they're doing wrong.

+ the hybriding, lots of bridding involved in 2v2's (which is the foundation or warring in general) than a miniwar, cuz tbh there arent many people in other clans that are amazing at the whole pray switch thing while tanking lmao. there's plenty that suck at it lol

both have thier pros and cons ofc, im not about to list all of em... besides, i never once said we'd cut out miniwars anyway. those are basically a givin already. i'm talking about events to better the members, miniwars are a side thing that we do often, or should be doing often already. they're out of the picture lol

I just feel that newer members wont take interest in 2v2s after they lose a round or two
