I've decided to take a preemptive strike at starting the rp'ing section, seeing as many people seem to be taking and interest in starting small, we should have a single thread where all the characters can be. For those who don't know how to create a character, below this will be a skeleton guideline for making a simple character. However, feel free to add and expand as you see fit.)) The skeleton guide for creating a character: Name: Gender: Age: Physical Description: Personality: History: Abilities: ((Some other things you may want to think about when making your character. Is he/she a good guy or a bad guy? A soldier, or a speaker of the arts? A slaver, or is he something like Duane?)) |

I just want to give you all a heads up that my time on the internet is going to be sporadic for the next few weeks. I'll going to try to check at least every other day, but if I miss my turn and the 24 hour window feel free to go on without me and I'll post next time I'm on. I shouldn't but it might happen. Also, after the 29th I've got no idea what my internet will be like but I'm hoping I'll once again have a constant source of wifi. *crosses fingers* |

Alright ya'll. First things first, why isn't anybody posting???? Secondly, I'll be leaving in a few days to study abroad for four months. I've got nothing but love for everybody and their writing, but I'm thinking it might be best to retire Serk for that time period. I have no idea what my internet will be like, and I'll be busy studying and exploring and I don't want everybody waiting on me all the time. Ariel could figure it out and knife Serk in the back or she can go off on a "job" for Moochie. Thoughts? Thirdly, I think maybe we've jumped into this a bit too quickly and we should define some rules (seeing as no one has posted in 8 days). We tried instigating the 24-hour skip rule, but nobody is enforcing it. We don't have anyone moderating our players, controlling our setting or guiding our characters. What about a GM of sorts? Perhaps an over-riding plot or some goals within the IC? Don't get me wrong, more than anything my experience RPing with everyone has been FUN. I've spent more time doing Unsounded related things online the past few months then I spent on facebook this past year. However, it might be easier for everyone if we had a bit more structure. The inconsistency of posting has got me wondering if anyone else feels the same. If not, that's fine! The important thing is that everyone is enjoying themselves. So please don't hate me! |

I feel the same... I kind of wandered into a point where I can't really do anything with Ariel, so I've been waiting for someone to post something that gave me some inspiration. Grief. It kind of makes useless lumps of otherwise perfectly interesting people. If you want Serk stabbed mercilessly in the back, Ariel is perfectly capable of that. He wouldn't even feel bad about it. She doesn't necessarily have to die... after all, if you decide you want to come back and keep her going with a new desire to murder chipper Rachshanian runaways, I'm game for that. I dunno how the other characters would feel about Ariel after he sticks Serk like a pig, though. So I might wind up with a dead character anyways... EDIT: It's not even like he'd paralyse her... he's kind of fond of going straight for the lungs and other soft bits covered by ribcage, even though there's plenty of stuff in there that you can pretty easily live without. After ribcage, he likes to go for the belly... On Serk, it would probably be easier to get at that than her chest. Spinal cord is maybe a third priority for him... Anyhow... moving on to administrative stuff... I kind of suggested the rule, but I didn't want to police it, since that would kind of be putting myself in a position of authority, which I can't/shouldn't do. Anyone feel like being moderator? I've got quite a bit on my plate, so I'm not volunteering, but if someone else feels like it, I'd be happy to make suggestions and stuff if they need it. Edited by Forumcat, Mar 26 2012, 12:01 PM.

I had another thought. Moochie could keep her for a bit while Serk recovers from her burns. Honestly I think I'd prefer not to have Ariel stab her (unless he kills her), because then I'll have to deal with her wanting to kill him whenever she sees him. But if it comes down to it, then I suppose that's alright too. |

That works too. Ariel is very clever, but a little naive. I'm not sure how he'd figure out that Serk killed Miles anyway. Besides, fluffy!Ariel is so cute... I don't know if I want to get blood all over him yet. *applauds Grue* You have followed the rule more than I have, then. I don't think I've posted in weeks. Bad Chessie. |
