-This ruleset proposes a minimum of 6 words per line when in combat, this is for both offensive attacks and defensive. While it has no strict typo rule, the lines must be legible most spectators and enclosed with either * or -
- Terms of a fight need to be agreed on before the actual fight. Example of this being: someone might want to four word "spam" the other person, while the other person has a WPM of 20, and wants to emote. This rule creates a fair fighting experience for everyone.
- Removing a limb requires four lines of an attack. You must state what limb has been removed with an extra line. After the fourth line of impact, the damage is done. If someone trys to defend after this point, it is void. The final line ot to state to the other person what has happened. This rule is also 4/1. Example of this being:
*Swings my blade down into the top half of your arm.* < Initial line.
*Rips down into the top layer of the skin.* < Second line of attack.
*Rips this down into the bone of the arm.* < Third line of attack.
*Swings the blade down the other side of the arm.* < Fourth and final line.
*Your arm drops off from your shoulder, hitting the floor.* < Stating the limb dropping off.
- KO is also four lines of impact. KO must be stated with an extra line after the combo. After the fourth line of impact, the damage is done. If someone trys to defend after this point, it is void. The final line ot to state to the other person what has happened. This rule is also 4/1. Example of this being:
*Rams my elbow into the side of the head, hitting the temple.* < Initial line.
*Connect this down to the temple.* < Second line of the attack
*This shakes around inside your head, smashing the brain.* < Third line of the attack
*Rattles the brain off of the skull inside your head.* < Fourth line of the attack.
*This would send you down to the floor, koed.* < Extra line stating the KO.
- To paralyse someone, you will need to do the same as KO and removing a limb. Four lines of impact, and you also add the extra line to state what has happened. After the fourth line of impact, the damage is done. If someone trys to defend after this point, it is void. The final line ot to state to the other person what has happened. This rule is also 4/1. Example of this being:
*Grips your body with Telekinesis, lifting you into the air.* < Telekinetics - This does not count as a line.
*Slams your body back down onto the floor below you.* < First line of impact.
*Rams the spine in your back to the left of where it should be.* < Second line of impact.
*Snaps this down into the spine, your back now being out of place.* < Third line of impact.
*Eventually snaps the spine in half inside of your body.* < Fourth and final line of impact.
*This would then stop you from moving your back, being paralysed.* < Stating the paralysis.
Putting someone into torpor requires five attack lines, and an additional to say what has happened. For example.
*I swing my sword down to the side of your neck* - First line of the attack
*I cut down into the side of the neck* - Second line of the attack
*My blade cuts through the outter skin* - Third line of the attack
*I hack past the jugular veins and into the bone* - Fourth line of the attack
*I cut through the neck completley in one quick swipe* - Fifth and final line of the attack
*You fall down, exhausted in torpor* - Stating what has happened.
"Death" shouldn't exist IC, it is unrealistic for people to die, and then come back in two hours times to try and get revenge. This rule set suggests when one person is defeated in a fight they are in torpor, for 2 hours if a raid, or 24 if outside of a raid. Perm deaths can be agreed on, only if before the fight.
- Magicks are a three lines cast, and a two lines dispell. Example of this being:
*Sends my Vitae out into the heat in the air.*
*Draws the heat into the palms of my hands, combusting the heat.*
*Summons a ball of fire inside my palms, generated from the combustion.*
- Melee is a one line cast, for example.
-Telekinetics is a two line cast, with only one line needed to resist it. Telekinesis must be used in full word form, no abbreviation to TK.
*Pulls my blade up from my belt.*
You must state having drawn the blade out, because even though we are Vampires, you can't summon swords from no where. We aren't that good.
- For a valid kill, the rules are 5/1. This means that 5 lines of impact are needed before the other duelist is able to get two lines of defence in. For those who are asking, initial doesn't count. Here is an example of a magick kill.
And now for an example with Magicks.
*Sends my Vitae energy out into the heat in the air.* < First line of casting.
*Draws the heat down to my hands, combusting the energy in my palms.* < Second line of casting.
*Forms a ball of fire into my palms, the energy glowing around my hand.* < Third line of casting.
*Sends the ball of fire down to the [enemy's] body.* < Initial line.
*This then burns it onto the bare skin.* < Second line of impact.
*Your skin begins to rot away.* < Third line of impact.
*Burns this throughout the entire body.* < Fourth line of impact.
*Your body collapses to the floor, being burnt badly.* < Final line of impact.
*You eventually fall into torpor*< Killing line.
- Ok, now its time to show you how to defend against the lines like these. To make things easier, I'll use the same combos. This is where a lot of the rules start to crop up, and people begin to dispute what one another have said. I know that it can be unrealistic when people are ripping blades out of them non stop for ten minutes, so there should be no damage til the final line. One person cannot literally role play some one dying due to being "cut to the skin" too many times. Until that final, fifth line has impacted without being interrupted, there is no damage. So as long as you can defend with two lines before the final one, you're okay. Example with Melee:
*Draws my sword up from my belt.* < Casting line.
*Swings this down into [enemy's] head.* < Initial line.
*Cuts it down into the skin.* < Second line of impact.
*Rips this down into the flesh.* < Third line of impact.
-Pulls the blade out of my body- < First line of defence.
-The blade has now left my body- < Second and final line of defence.
*The blade cuts down the bone.* < Fourth line of impact.
*The blade slices out of the other side of the head.* < Final line of impact.
*The body would slump down dead to the floor.* < Killing line.
Defending Magicks is the same as the offence with the Magicks, but you just need to counter them with your own Magick. This does require a bit of focus and imagination on what is going on. If someone used fire, you'd counter it with Water, and so on. Its pretty much the opposite of what they are trying to use on you.
*Send my Vitae down to the heat in the air.* < First line of casting.
*Draws the heat from the air into my hands, combusting the energy.* < Second line of casting.
-Summons my Vitae into my hands then- < First line of defence.
*Forms a ball of fire into my palms.* < Third line of casting.
*Send the ball of fire down to the [enemy's] body.* < Initial line.
*Burns this down to the robing.* < First line of impact.
-Draws the moisture in from the air then- < Second line of defence.
*This then burns it onto the bare skin.* < Second line of impact.
*Your skin begins to rot away.* < Third line of impact.
-Soaks the fire out with the water that is formed on my body- < And then the defence of the fire on them.
*Burns this throughout the entire body.* < Fourth line of impact.
*Your body collapses to the floor, being burnt badly.* < Final line of impact.
*You eventually die on the floor.* < Killing line.
-If someone goes AFK when being attack and they know they are being attacked, they are automatically put into torpor. The same goes for leaving a room.
-Leaving a room while in combat requires three lines of unbroken roleplay. For example:
*I sprint out of the area*
*Leaving the tavern through the door*
*I make my way away from the tavern*
This is valid.
This is not:
*I Sprint out of the area*
*Leaving the tavern through the door*
-I place a telekinetic grip over [names] body-
-Forming the telekinetic grip over you-
*I make my way away from the tavern*
-When attacking a character you must state their name in the first attack, unless another name is stated it is assumed the rest of the attacks go to that character.
- Gun Rules
-
Guns are three lines to aim and fire, similar to casting a magick,
If somebody moves off of the aim, you must re-aim to start up again.
You can block off a bullet with telekinesis, but the two line tk rule still applies.
You would need to visit an approved gun dealer to receive a firearm, this stops idiots having assault rifles.
- As of the moment, I feel only handguns and machine pistols should be allowed for role-plays sake.
- Also, I feel as though people should at least role-play the consequence of discharging a firearm in such a busy place.
- Could people be mature enough to reload a handgun after say, fifteen rounds? Thankyou.
So A firing to kill combo would look like;
-lifts the gun up in my right hand- <- Start.
-aims down the iron sight at the body- <- Aim Sequence.
-squeezes the trigger of the gun-
-the bullet would strike the foe in the head- <- Connection.
-the bullet breaking into the body-
-then ripping through the flesh itself itself-
-the bullet smashing through the bone matter-
-it would carry on through the brain-
-the bullet would blast out the back of the head-
-they would fall down dead as a result- <- Kill.
However, if you dodged off of the aim;
-lifts the gun up in my right hand- <- Start.
-aims down the iron sight at the body- <- Aim Sequence.
*moves to the side of the aim* <- Evasion.
-squeezes the trigger of the gun-
*has now moved from the path of the bullet* <- Attack evaded.
-the bullet would strike the foe in the head- <- Connection, voiding the rest of the combo.
-the bullet breaking into the body-
-then ripping through the flesh itself itself-
-the bullet smashing through the bone matter-
-it would carry on through the brain-
-the bullet would blast out the back of the head-
-they would fall down dead as a result-
