The Presidential Election is weeks away, but I believe now is as good a time as ever to get started on my campaign. Those who know me know that I am a jokester. However, I can get serious when I need to be.

I'm running for what I call the Federalist Party. I am dedicated to three things in particular: growth, nations' rights, and federal neutrality.

As a zombie refugee myself, I know firsthand what over two hundred people are experiencing, in a new region that wasn't prepared for all of them. I believe we are still in the middle of figuring out just what we're going to do. The Constitution isn't perfect and some flaws are bound to manifest at some point. I want to be there when those flaws appear.

With so many nations, we are bound to have some Psychotic Dictatorships and other bad apples. And yet, we really are no better if we restrict their right to be one. We must keep in mind that we wouldn't want it done to us, so why do it to others? I will veto any bill that attempts to trample our nations' rights.

I am also a firm neutralist. The Versutian Federation needs to stay neutral to hold together its mish-mash of residents. We have nations from all sorts of backgrounds. I myself will not deny that I have participated in raids in the past. However, to make this region a defender or raider region isolates and ignores the opinions of half the region. If I were to accept any such legislation, it'd have to be unanimous.

That is not to say individual nations can't go on raids or defend. To deny them that would be tyrannical. However, I refuse to allow the Versutian Federation to endorse or support either side, to compromise its neutrality.

Another thing I'd do would be to run an official newspaper of the Versutian Federation. This would be entertaining as well as informational in order to give the general populace an idea of what is going on in the government.

So, those are my basic campaign points. If you have any questions or concerns, ask below an I will respond as soon as I possibly can. Thank you for you time.

Don't say no. Vote Mungo!

This is a legit political issue? Sheesh... if so, it's about damn time that someone put an end government category discrimination.

This has never been an issue in this region as far as I know, but it has been an issue in some other regions I have visited and I want to prevent this from ever being an issue here.

I would be a lot more inclined to vote for you if you submitted your Monitor report *cough* *cough*

Otherwise, nice platform. I disagree with a few things, but overall pretty good.

I'll have it on your desk by May 5. A nice Cinco de Mayo gift.

Well, it's quite obvious by now that the vast majority of Versutians are against neutrality. Normally, I'd continue being for neutrality, but since I am currently its only supporter, I feel I should step aside and let the will of the people dictate our course for now.

Besides, who doesn't like a little invasion now and then? :D

I'd personally much prefer that the government endorsed a policy of defense rather than invasion, but I'll go with the will of the people on that one too.

Non-neutrality doesn't necessarily imply a policy of invasion. I'd just say covert ops and open statements of support, mostly.

For my part, it would be great if I could openly organize a strike force to help take down Milograd. I'm already working a bit (independently from the government) against Milo, but it would be so great to use the power of the VF to help out there.

We will preserve our interests, in any way we must.

EDIT: That invasion bit was a little joke anyway.

Defense-only militaries are pretty retarded, you know? We need to be able to reach out and touch them evil personz if there's an opportunity. And this is a pretty good situation.

My opinion is that we should mobilize against any enemy that poses too great a threat to us to ignore. Oppose those who oppose us. Defend our interests, with force if nothing else will do.

But we at least need to have the motherfucking architecture in place so it's not a retarded-ass disorganized scramble to get a raiding team going.

That's what I think. But nobody takes me seriously.

I totally agree with you. That was the idea behind the VFD, which I would be happy to make you a commanding officer in if it ever took off. It would probably be led by the MoD with the Deputy MoD as second in command, with subsidiary generals leading their own charges.

I've been the Prime Minister of Exshaw as well as WA Delegate and other positions. More can be found in my signature.

Exshaw... sounds familiar. Was that the place that grew ridiculously fast and helped trigger a mod ruling on auto-recruitment scripts?

Yes. It collapsed shortly afterward, though. :ermm: Um, not due to me or anything.

But seriously, I'd like to use it as a cautionary example. Not to mention that we're a region that grew ridiculously fast. I hope I can use my time there to prevent a similar situation here.

Well, not so fast now that D-Day is over. But still growing, if you don't count puppet CTEs.
