With the elections in two days, I challenge my opponents to a debate. Basically, we shall be answering questions from the voters. This debate shall begin when the first question is posted and will continue until the polls are closed. I wish my opponents the best of luck. Let the battle begin! |

Should the lack of the founder for the foreseeable future alter the VF's position in terms of defence policy? If so, how so? |

Personally, I am a neutralist, but I realize that path is becoming less of an option for the VF. Instead, I want to attempt a compromise. No, I do not support endorsing defender groups. However, we can and should fight alongside them when it's in our best interest and definitely commend their good deeds. We should give them the recognition they deserve if they deserve it.
Absolutely. We need to raise our guard. If the worst-case scenario becomes a reality and the founder physically CTE's, we'll need to be prepared for invasions, raids, and all sorts of nasty things. Monitors, once a frivolity, become a necessity. Our infiltrators become valuable as our first line of defense. Sure, this may seem like overkill, but if we are invaded, we will be grateful to have a strong defense. |

Beyond the jargon of strengthening preexisting programs, what new initiatives and ideas would you add to the position, if elected? |

Great question. Like my opponent, I'm planning on using the experience and knowledge of our more senior members to educate the younger ones. Training the new generation, as it is. A select group of mentors, the best of the best. I will also expand our intel network. I plan on participating in that field myself. My goal is to get a scout in every major region, so we get a complete picture of what is occurring in the Nationstates world and plan our positions accordingly. Also, to clarify: I do not support a strictly neutral stance in foreign affairs. However, I refuse to endorse one side or the other. I don't want this region swept up into any raiding or defender organizations yet. I will, however, defend our interests using whatever means necessary and I plan on training our military in both invading and defending. There are situations where both will be necessary. |
