I have questions for the person that I am running against, The Imperium of Tanith. 1.) What do you plan to do with the majority of our embassies that are inactive when it comes to communication? 2.) What are you going to do about the long waits that have been seen with recent applications? (Most recently the Application by the Inceptum Diplomate which has yet to see a response.) 3.) I have noticed that regions we have embassies with have forum spaces for embassies. Why have we not applied for one? 4.) From my somewhat short time as Ambassador to CP. I noticed there is very little official communication about the status of embassies. What do you plan on doing this? I open the floor up to Tanith and anyone else that has questions for myself or the incumbent Imperium of Tanith. |

I think this is a great idea. Anhur, I'd like to turn your questions against you and see what your responses might be - what do you plan to do about these potential issues, specifically? |

I will message you them Gnome and then you can post them after Tanith responds so that everyone knows that neither mine or Tanith's answers were influenced by the other. |

1.) What do you plan to do with the majority of our embassies that are inactive when it comes to communication? I have already ordered the closure of a majority of our inactive Embassies that failed to meet Number and Activity requirements, so that's signed sealed and delivered. Many of the others will be getting notices soon to pick up their activities or risk losing their Embassy privileges. 2.) What are you going to do about the long waits that have been seen with recent applications? (Most recently the Application by the Inceptum Diplomat which has yet to see a response.) I'm not as think as you drunk I am, that is all. ![]() But yeah, that was my bad. I saw it when it first got up, got lazy, and forgot about it for a bit. I've now fixed and accepted said application however. 3.) I have noticed that regions we have embassies with have forum spaces for embassies. Why have we not applied for one? To be quite honest I'm just trying to figure out why we have as many Regional Embassies as we do. Once I'm done sorting out that, then my next objective is to ensure that we have full Forum and in-game Embassies with our chosen Regions. 4.) From my somewhat short time as Ambassador to CP. I noticed there is very little official communication about the status of embassies. What do you plan on doing this? Communication is a two-way street, and unfortunately I haven't been getting much response aside from IRC chats. I do admit though that it is also my fault as well, seeing as I've been insanely busy these last few days(with Thanksgiving break and all that jazz), that I'm having difficult to find time to sleep let along find time to relax and do NS related things. |

Here are Anhur's responses: 1.) What do you plan to do with the majority of our embassies that are inactive when it comes to communication? I plan on going through and sending TGs to each of our Embassies' Minister of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) to inform them that we are going to go through a purge of out embassies to keep the regions that want to have a relationship with out region. I would then put regions that have a history of not communicating on a probation list where they have say 7-14 days to respond to the message and open up lines of communication or face loosing the embassy with the VF. 2.) What are you going to do about the long waits that have been seen with recent applications? (Most recently the Application by the Inceptum Diplomat which has yet to see a response.) I check the forums on an almost daily basis. I will still require the Telegram from the MoFA or other leaders from any applicant region and if I do not have one at the time of the request I will message the other region to ask if the person has the authority to open an embassy. 3.) I have noticed that regions we have embassies with have forum spaces for embassies. Why have we not applied for one? This ties heavily into the first question for me. For any region that wants to continue to have an embassy but does not currently have one of ours in their Regional Forum then I will apply for one in their forms myself within the next 24 hours of a response from the other party. 4.) From my somewhat short time as Ambassador to CP. I noticed there is very little official communication about the status of embassies. What do you plan on doing this? I plan to have a report system in place for all Ambassadors under my jurisdiction. A chart of bi-weekly reports where half the regions will be assigned reports one week and the other half being assigned the next week. I also would plan a few random check ups on Ambassadors to make sure everything is running smoothly. |

Thank you Gnome for being such a great help. I hope that you all found my answers to be good. And I hope to hear some new questions before the polls open in 2 days. |

To both candidates: 1) Do you support R/D (Military Gameplay) and would you consider having embassies with regions like UDL, TBR, or TNI? 2) Should players be allowed dual-citizenship? (Like I do) What if it was someone such as Milograd or Douria who has been destructive to a region? 3) Ideally, what should an embassy/region have? |

1) I do support R/D and I actively am considering Embassies with TBR, TNI, and UDL. My philosophy is simple: If your on their good side, you can't become a target for them, and overall the safety of the Federation is incredibly important to me. 2)I agree with dual-citizenship, as I do admit I technically have been granted in the Kingdom of Great Britain. I think it's a great way for younger Nations to not only get to see the world they would not by staying in the VF, but to learn new ideas and philosophies to help us grow as a Region. As for those who have been destructive in the past, I say this: The past is the past, and while those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, those who learn only history are doomed to stay there forever. On a personal level, I would welcome Milograd or Douria with open arms as they are well known and hard working members of the NS community and have done as much good for the game as . However the official Regional Response for such an occurrence is not for me to say, as that would fall under the Ministry of Justice rather then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So on the Regional Scale, No comment. 3) While this has yet to be released to the public, I shall do this now. We're now in the big boy league of Nationstates, so as such we can't accept every Embassy request sent to us, because that's just a logistical nightmare for myself and the Delegate. As such, I have instated 2 Major Requirements to begin/retain both a in-game and Forum Embassy with the Versutian Federation: 1: The Region in question should have a population of over 75 nations. 2: The Region should be active on both our and their own forums, posting reguarly, even if it isn't updates. I have also instated that the Government may choose to waive Rule 1 if they feel that the Region in question would be beneficial (and also active) to the Federation no matter how small. I hope this answers your questions fully.

To both candidates: 1.) How do you intend to repair Versutian Federation-Inceptum Relations? 2.) If a region isn't yet assigned an ambassador do you plan to fill the void until someone steps up to fill the void? A: What will your ambassador system be composed of? Will you have ambassadors report to you daily, weekly, or monthly. If so about what? Edited by Nervbraiain, Dec 1 2013, 02:06 PM.

1) Hard work and making Anhur the Diplomat so you don't have to deal with me. 2) As I am writing this response I have ordered Anhur to be Diplomat to Inceptum A: Diplomats will soon be giving Monthly reports on the status of the Forum Embassy and our Relationship with them and how they feel towards our Government. |
