Well, hi.

Some of you might know me. Some of you might now. I go by the name of Sharky on the internet, because of reasons. And mostly because I can. Partially because I don't want to tell you my real name. That shouldn't bother you. If it does, there be something wrong with you. Or my name.

Anyways, moving on to my proper introduction.

Howdy there. My name is Sharky. I'm xx years old. And was born on the 30th of December. I pee while standing up. And now you know what gender of human beings I am. I'm gonna be an year older in a matter of 39 days, I'm not entirely sure about the number. I'm not good at counting and maths related stuff.

I am pretty well known on another forum. It's the PewDiePie forum. As I said, anyone from the said forum would most likely know me. I go by the same name.

The things I love include, the person I love, playing and making games, friendly people, music and music making, and finally ... Muse, the very perfect alternative rock band from England. Muse, because they are awesome, their music is awesome. I'm a huge Muse fan, if you haven't guessed it already. And if you like Muse, I love you already.

About games, I love playing Indie games. 2D or 3D. Mostly 2D though. My current favorite game is Overgrowth [I played one of their alpha versions]. And, I don't really like Halo-ish games. Also, I really, really dislike Slenderman based games where you're lost in some place, and have to collect x number of items to succeed while Slenderman is on your tail. Those are just failures lacking creativity.

And finally. About making games. I use Game Maker for making games. I made two games so far, and they are ...

-- Adin. A 2D platformer, ridiculously short, horror-ish game. Features Slender man. More info here.

-- Mr.Bob. Another 2D puzzle platformer. Promises rage. More info here.

And, I'm working on another project with a person called ProjectMisfit as lead developer. He's registered over here too.

Finally. I've written a proper introduction. I hated writing long introductions because, I wrote a really long introduction, with lots of effort and love, and soon enough, the page refreshed ... and I lost all my precious work.

So. That's it about me.

Looking forward to talk and socialize with you guys.

Have a nice day.

*skimming through intro* Oh hey, another Muse fan! Yay!

Hi Sharky. I'm Dylnmatrix. I know what writing a long post and having the page refresh, making you lose all that work is like. It took me three tries to make my self-promotion thread made.

Anyways, I'm a Muse fan as well. Any favorite albums? Songs? What have you?
For me, it's whatever song happens to be playing and my favorite album so far is their newest one.
Deal with it.

Hi Dylnmatrix. Dylan would be okay?

*high five for Muse*

At the moment of writing, I am listening to Supremacy, which is my most favorite out of The 2nd Law. I love all of the songs, though.

Favorite albums, Absolution [+tour], Black Holes and Revelations, H.A.A.R.P, Origin of Symmetry, The Resistance, and The 2nd Law.

Songs, almost all of them from the above mentioned albums. Some to note, Supremacy, Map Of The Problematique, Neutron Star Collision, Resistance [first Muse song I've heard], MK Ultra, Darkshines, and I could go on and on and on. So, simply put, I love almost all of their songs.

Really nice meeting you.

Yeah, you could call me that. I haven't gone by that alias in years though lol. My actual name's Matt.

And you're an actual fan, woo! -hi fives- Not someone who bashes on them for making new stuff. I love everything by them too, my particular favorites would be: Invincible, MK Ultra, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Supremacy, Panic Station (looove this one), Madness, Hysteria (super fun to play on bass), Big Freeze, Map of the Problematique, New Born, Sing For Absolution, and the list goes on. I don't think I've found a song I don't like.

Albums...I love them all. They're all important to Muse's rise to where they are now, which makes me love them all. Even if I haven't heard it all.

It was nice meeting you as well.
Deal with it.

Maggot, I just full on loled at that.

Hey Sharky! Welcome! Sounds like you are into the abstract side of games compared to many that I tend to play (I would probably be considered more of a mainstream gamer.) I'm curious, have you played any that left a particularly strange impression?

Beakerette : Thanks, mate.

Maggot : I am a friendly Shark. And please tell me what you think of Adin. And if you can, why not try Mr.Bob as well? Also, *high-five* for Muse.

Toast : [I'll call you Toasty, if you're fine with that] Thanks for the welcome. About your question, I'm not entirely sure of what you meant by that.

Toasty is fine by me. XD As for my question, I find the 2D indie games have a wider creativity pool as they can be made with a smaller crew. As a result it seems they are more likely to have some very strange concepts. I was just wondering if throughout your adventures, there was a game you tried that seemed more off the wall than usual. If you're a Pewds fan perhaps you recall Revenge of the Sunfish.

Toasty.

That is true and being one myself, I find that they are really interesting, and have more surprises packed. And, I'm not exactly that big of a fan. Just watch videos when I'm bored. Anyways, I haven't yet played any game that was a different colored egg. Though, some of the games I really like, Imscared, Jigsaw, Lugaru, Overgrowth [played the alpha], Mari0, and Super Meat Boy.

What about you, buddy?

From now on I will call you Bruce. Always remember, "fish are friends, not food". I haven't /really/ listened to a song by Muse other than Knights of Cydonia, and that's only because I heard this song

Anyways, welcome, enjoy thyself, spread kindness and acceptance unto thine neighbour, exclameth I.

No please.

Knights of Cydonia is a great song! You have to listen to more of their songs.

Thanks for the welcome, dude.

Sadly I'm not so good at finding abstract games. I usually hear about them from my LPers and by then I don't really need to play them. I may have to look up some of those you mentioned though. I always like something a little different. :D I think probably the strangest game I ever played was the South Park game they had on the PS1 back in the day. Evil Turkeys and Cow Launcher guns.
