Cast Your Vote: The Future of VsSystem.org

Hello all - long time, no talk! I'll play catch-up soon, I promise, but first we have something important to discuss.

Recently, .org member Typhon reached out to the .org mods to start a conversation about merging communities. Some of you may know Typhon better as a key player at Realmworx.com. He's currently trying to build community over there around the new game and offered to integrate .org into his new and improved forum. We would have our own space on the forum dedicated to the original Vs. System. There are pros and cons depending upon how you look at it. The mods here at .org want the .org forum members' opinions before deciding on anything.

Here are some things to think about before you vote on the below:

+ .Org would, effectively, be shut down. But the content on this site will be "imported" over to the new site, so nothing will be lost. (OK, technically, there would be nothing to stop you from coming here and posting, but it'll eventually empty out around here.)
+ We'd have our own, dedicated space over there. While we would see many posts for the new game, we'll have our own "Vs. 1.0" area where we'll talk exclusively about this version of the game (much like we do here now).
+ Realms will likely see a huge influx of new players for the new game. Some of them will be interested in the old game. It'd be nice to be there for them.
+ Typhon is, and has been, a dedicated member of the Vs. community on realms. I trust him to do the right thing by us if we make this move.
+ If things go south (they won't), we can always re-open our doors here.

I know the wording above may seem like I'm pushing us in the direction of merging, but I'm honestly not. I'm just as happy keeping this forum and remaining "pure". The new version of Vs. sounds very different than the game we know and love, and it might be nice to keep a separate, dedicated home.

So take a minute. Think. Take a deep breath, then vote! (If you don't see the voting buttons, click on the title of this post first. They should magically appear. Comments also welcome below.)
