Lots added just now - think I've got the pattern just about figured out, only thing messing things up is MNB-092 Sabretooth. If part of the set is ordered by the cost of the support characters, there aren't that many low-cost villain support characters.

It's also possible that the cost of the support characters doesn't matter and what we've seen of the Avengers and X-Men is just a coincidence.

There would be enough room for 5 characters between the last Villains MC and Sabretooth.

Maybe a 1 cost, 2 x 2 costs, 2 x 3 costs?

There being only 16 plot twists means the 4 slots before the basic locations are the neutral plot twists. Doesn't seem like many. What could the last 12 slots be?

I still am going for generic locations under different names - so that you can have 16 Basic Skill Locations in your deck and your 4 Wild Cards to give you a Skill-focused (or Energy/Might/Intellect) deck, making 1/3 of your deck locations.

Locations of some sort makes sense - if they were basic ones, those would be exactly the last 12 slots. Possible fix for the two character slots after Loki - army characters? Would make the curve a little better for them, preferable to the possibility that there are more expensive villain support characters than Loki.

Locations have proved to be lame, so I hope the last cards (if there are any) are something new and made specially for the game. They hinted at the possibility of 3-4 players matches on the last article, so maybe those lasts cards are something like the previous planets, with additional win conditions and/or effects that alter the matches.

It was specifically said by Jeff there were 5 locations per team (20 unique - 80 total) - so if each team has 1 wild card it only makes sense that the last cards are locations.

I agree with both Hank and X-chan. I think they might be loctions but if there are cards spefically for free for alls I will be happy.

Added Squad Tactics.
Location article here for reference
12 more basic locations would bring the totals to 4 per color. 5 sources of a color per team with their wild. If that's what they are, the ordering would still be curious. For that matter, the 4 neutral plot twists aren't listed in an intuitive order either.
I thought I read somewhere they didn't want superpowers to be used willy nilly every turn.
The article linked refers to how to use a location as one of two ways, the second being by discarding a Location with the matching symbol from your hand. This suggests to me that we will get more locations that have the printed symbol than just basics. Why would a location be nonbasic with the symbol? If it has a secondary effect? Dual colored locations?
Would it be too strong to make a hospital location that can remove a wound?

That would be cool; sort of like laz pit from DCL where you replace it to recover a character. Maybe recover and remove a wound by turning it face down? Non basic locations will probably have a one time effect in the row or can be discarded to use powers with the sane symbol.

Ok, I got some information from players who playtested the game.

The core set is meant to support 4 decks, one for each team. Each team will have 5 locations, 4 basic + 1 wild. All the basic cards will be called the same to prevent running more than 4 of each, but could have different pictures to be more flavourful (that was not confirmed, just guessed). That gives us 80 locations cards from the 400 core set.

Makes sense. This way your deck can stay flavorful. Why would villains use Xavier's mansion or Avengers' tower?

If they have alternate arts listed as different card numbers that would fit. With those guesses added we're about half way done!

Added Red Skull. This one fits the pattern perfectly. Now if only we could get MNB-100. Any thoughts on if it's gonna be army characters or expensive support characters?
